You know the Saturn version is weird when there's no Richter and yet you still perform Richter skip, in the dark, out-of-bounds (but also kind of in-bounds) into a pixel-perfect out of place teleport that gets you a few rooms to the left of where you should be. Like HOW did they manage to mess it up like that! 🤣
That Jupiter guy seems pretty alright at this. He should try speedrunning more often.
The year is 20XX and speedrunning has peaked to the point of literal gambling, with entire runs requiring chains of one in a million drops from all sorts of enemies in the game.
In Twitch chat I'm already gambing (and losing all my garnet coins) on these runs anyway 😆

4:35 Tetra means four. Tetra Spirit summons four orbs, not five (you can see only four spawn in). Dragonblitzdaily wouldn't have made this mistake smh

It's always amazing seeing DB and Jupiter competing to break records. You'd think "Oh there's no way it can be done faster", but time and time again, they're always able to prove how goated they are.
Imagine getting the Masamune at the Panther right before Medusa.
Technically every Alucard run starts outside of the castle.

I love how every time a new speedrunning strat comes out it’s all “oh no, this is insane, impossible to pull off consistently, there’s a one in a million chance of getting it, nobody can ever do it in a real run, it’s TAS only…” Then some absolute madman comes and does it anyway and then everyone else needs to get on board to beat the impossible new record haha!

This is such a cool speed run, I think it’s awesome that there’s a completely broken arbitrary code execution in this game and yet there’s still a faster route to the end
Guys, DB totally knows that tetra spirit only summons four spirits. And also that tetra is greek for 'four'. Relax.

Runs like these have to be so stressful when you don't even know until midway through whether the run is a run😓it's definitely entertaining, but the grind is brutal.

Can’t that initial save with Maria be prepared beforehand or must it be done on the same power-on of the console/emulator? If it could be prepared before, then it shouldn’t count to the total time (like setting a “clear” save to be able to buy duplicators with Alucard doesn’t count).
This is super cool as usual for an outsider, but one could argue, if the game thinks you are Maria is it still an Alucard run?
I hope a new consistent rng manip can be found!
