If you are rich no problem. It's really expensive in Australia. I am an Aussie and study vet overseas because it's cheaper and is of the same standard/arguably a better standard.

this is awesome to understand how a student lives their life in the vet study world. i applied two years in a row for melb, and syd - with a good average, great experience and personal statement. and i was still knocked back. i have great respect for these students, theyre very lucky to get a position and im sure they worked very hard and are working hard til their graduation. wish u all the best.

Looks like such a great place! It had been my dream to be a vet since I was little and couldn't wait to go to uni as soon at year 12 was over but a few months before my year 12 exams I became extremely sick and was eventually diagnosed with fibromyalgia. It completely ruined any chance I had at pursuing my dream and it really breaks my heart if I think about it too hard.
You should have taken a year give gap.
@@lensworld3576 I did take a gap year because it was always my plan to take some time for myself once school was over but a chronic illness like Fibromyalgia isn’t simply just helped or cured by taking a year off. It’s lifelong, incurable and debilitating. Having some time off makes no difference to how it affects a person nor does it make living with it’s symptoms more easily dealt with whilst undertaking studies for a very involved university degree such as veterinary science.

Just got into the vet course at Murdoch, so excited to start!
The "getting in" process is so hard, but last year i got to do so many cool things at clinics, work with so many different animals that I really just can't complain
