Thanks for posting this! I was a student of Doug's from '84 to '90 when he was teaching at Instrumental Music in Thousand Oaks, CA. He is such an incredible and gifted guitarist, but not only that, he is such a cool and humble guy... and it is so awesome to see that he has not changed! I'm so happy for all his success... he worked hard for it! Way to go, Doug!
@@theguitartemplepriest No, he did not have his Gold Top at the time... most of the time he would go out into the store and grab a guitar off the wall. He did have a white strat that he would use and when he was in Lion he would bring in his white Jackson Soloist.

The first time I heard of Doug Aldrich was when he replaced Robert Sarzo in Hurricane. I bought the cassette tape at the time and was blown away with how good this guy was. Ever since, I kept up with Doug. Amazing player. You also mentioned one of my other favorite guitarists, Joel Hoekstra. Another beast of a player and currently my favorite guitarist.

Had a 'Paul nick named "The Beast". Sadly I just remember John Sykes from WS but Bernie did alot of writing and playing.... it's like '20 all over again. Sadly, every day it seems, someone is gone.
Absolutely R.I.P. Bernie Marsden so very sad, this video is about Doug but I wanted to mention him but forgot by the time the video was done. Darn. How all is well Glen, always a pleasure Sir.

Stable condition now, thank goodness... Saw him at Winterland for Elegant Gypsy (Weather Report head lining) then with The Trio, Davies Symphony Hall,,,,second round. Great both times....Paco is gone and John i guess is retired due to health. I hope Al is OK.
I Was looking at a sight and it said 5 mil, another site said 12, so I put 5 to 12 , Still good money, Whitesnake is a mega band and he also played for Dio and a host of others so I'd say it's about right.

Seen him twice. Once with Whitesnake and Dio. When he did Man On The Silver Mountain it was unbelievable.

Wildly underrated, one of the only dudes that pulls hammer-ons together similar to Dimebag, in my opinion. I love his playing style!!!
