I’m really confused because my Subaru app looks like that, but the STARLINK app does not exist in my App Store. I still have the app icon in my car for both starlink, and my Subaru but the starlink does not work. The “my Subaru” app is what I use for remote start.
The original Subaru Starlink App was discontinued in March 2023 and replaced with the My Subaru App, so the Starlink features are in this app. But, Subaru still has this Starlink app visible in cars for some reason, so hopefully an update in the future will remove the app bcuz it's just extra clutter on the screen.
You assumed we all have My Subaru app installed and activated but did not say a word on how to activate it on our phone??? Where do we get or setup user name and password?
This does not tell how to delete a Starlink boundary. I'm getting emails every time I leave my area after entering a test Starlink boundary limit. Please advise !
No. The basic is free. The next tier is $99. So if you want remote start features and vehicle disable and tracking stuff like that it's that extra $99 charge. I bought mine brand new and had the dealer throw the extra features in for free for 3 years.
I have the same problem but there was a $263 dollar Starlink package added on to our wrxs ( hubby and I both bought one). I’m gonna go talk to them because why are they charging me almost 300 for a free service 😫
Me too my subaruapp doesn’t have any options for starlink it’s 2022 crosstrek as well. Tried to call multiple times starlink hotline either hang up, no answer or answered by representative but they wer keep tellingn they don’t have access on it. It’s weird please enlighten me
I hope i'm not telling you misinformation - I just bought my first Subaru a couple of weeks ago. for me, Starlink is a separate app than MySubaru. also, note that not all of the features of Starlink are available for every Subaru vehicle. For example, my 2023 Crosstrek has an ignition key (not push start) and Starlink is not able to remote start my vehicle.
I also purchased a 2022 crosstrek. calling starlink they dont have a clue. I'm going to ask my salesperson how to hook it up. the Starlink brochure I got with the owners manual is useless, very vague.
We are having a lot of trouble getting Starlink from the app on our phone to the 2023 Crosstrek that we bought . Any tips or what are we doing wrong. We are using the cable connection but we are blue tooth to the phone and car. Our phone is a LG4 .IS the phone too old? Thanks.
Hi. I have Subaru ascend , after 25000 mile, I disconnected from starlink dealership just charging you for anything. I’m trying to fix problems by myself. There is green LED on the top, should be on, and your app should be updated. in app settings, you have to see current mileage as well.
Hi I just bought an used 2021impreza. I downloaded "my Subaru" app entered in the Vin and the previous owners partial name came up. How can I let Subaru starlink know that I'm the New owner?
@@jamesm.8392 Yep. When I get it done I'll just leave it in neutral with the brake on. I saw another video on here where they put it on a manual WRX using the original key FOB, won't start if it's in gear. They used the Viper 2 system

And remote start DOES work on manual transmissions, if you let it, but no0o0o0o "for safety reasons"
Yeah I imagine if you can park on level ground with wheels chocked and parking brake on it should work . . . right ???

You can add authorized users.
It’s all good unless you live in Massachusetts where they screw you. It’s added in the price of car but you can’t use it.
