I'm guessing 33 people who disliked this video must have been looking for egg timer instructions. Clear and informative. What more could you want. Great video.

That’s if I have done everything right! thanks again 🙂🎄🎄🎄🎄
Very well explained and demo video many thanks .Can these timer switches overheat if in continual use or is a slightly mild warmth to the housing of the device, a sign of faulty device or maybe the wall socket might be the cause especially if wiring is old in the house? . I'm just a little bit worried than when I'm out, if it overheats for whatever reason, be it a faulty device or faulty wall socket / older house wiring, or maybe just the device has lived out it's lifespan ? . Also how many years you think the device lasts before it should be replaced with a new one?
I have never known one overheat. In our house we have one running all the time for the light on the Lizard's vivarium and it has been fine upto now (approx 5 years!)

Hi great video .. what if i didnt set the mechanical timer to match the time on the clock ...if you see my point..would it work
I see what you mean. It would work but it would just be an hour or 2 behind/in front, however much out the timer is.
I use one of these for Christmas lights to be on between 5-10pm. During the day when appliances are off but the timer is still on at the mains….. does that still use up a lot of electricity to keep the timer moving or not really?
I dont think so to be honest. Very minimal I'd have thought!
Really like your video we are trying a timer in the lamp but when we turn the lamp on it stays on and won’t switch off are we setting it up wrong many thanks
Thank you! You may have the timer set to permanently "on" rather than on timer. There's usually a slide switch on the side.
great video. i just need to know if its clock does work continuously day after day without needing? if so does it get power from plug or a battery?
It just keeps going day after day. The power comes from the socket. Not sure how much it uses, very little I'd imagine!
You’ve explained that so well thank you, can I ask can you plug these into an extension lead ?
Yes, I've used them in extension leads. Only problem is, they are so wide that you won't fit another plug in the next socket.
clear and concise thankyou very much
Thanks for commenting! 👍🏼
Very informative, does is suck any power through at all when it is set to the off positions?
I wouldnt have thought so, because there is no light on it and nothing would be moving when it's off. If it does it would be very minimal!
Good man so simple when explained cheers
