This what I always see and say. The portuguese outside of Portugal are more portuguese than the portuguese in Portugal. Would love to hear speaking them portuguese to see what type of portuguese they spoke. Greetings from Portugal.
Government should play a big role in preserving this culture because it was part of the Malayan history.

In Goa, India ever since India took over in 1961 after 450 years of the Portuguese, is to remove anything Portuguese! The school curriculum teaches only the bad things with conversion. If you ask a school kid in Goa about the Portuguese he will tell you that they were very bad people. These was also a lot of good the Portuguese did but the Indian government refuse to talk about that. They are mad that Hindus got converted to Christians. The government is run by branches of the RSS. Google images of the RSS. They followed a lot of what Germany was doing preWWII if you look at the images of the RSS you will understand. It is also very bad to be of mixed blood in India as the RSS believe in the Aryans of which Indians are descendants of. Hitler even copied the swastika from the Hindu sign. People in Goa would never say what this man said as then they will be "unpure" blood.

Once upon a time there is queen who not feared portuguese, she sent grand fleet with big sail ship (junk) to destroy portuguese in malaka sultanate, her name immortalized by portuguese itself because her courage, portuguese called her "Reinha da japara" or Kalinyamat Queen from Jepara.
But the queen lost of war, because her big sail ship not very agile againts portuguese. Then the fall of mallaca happened.
