    Honestly, every time I watch one of your quick reviews I end up spending money on a tool I didn't know I needed. I've got tools that do the same job but there's always a better mouse trap, so to speak. Thanks again.

      Lame.. Most (ALL) of his reviews are clearly sales pitches for whatever he is selling. People don't even know a commercial when they watch one these days.

      Nope not at all. Believe what you will but nearly everything I make videos for are just things I like using or things people have asked me to buy and review. I also CLEARLY disclose in the few videos that are for item given or discounted to me that they are. I don’t play those games like other channels may.

    So the take on this " Purchase your own "Reamer" keep it to fine tune your loading process when adding a tool like this. Also John? Why are you not having your tools "dial indicators, Calipers and torque wrench's calibrated"? Quality Assurance...!!!! Thanks

    This looks real quick to measure the shoulder bump. They are limited on what calibers they have. How about a comparison between the Wilson gauge and this one?

  • @dcs27006
    @dcs27006 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The flaw I see here is that it’s a .001”
    Indicator. PMA should have used a .0001” tenths indicator so you have a finer reading. Just my opinion

    • @richrudley2650
      @richrudley2650 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't think that. 0001 will make a significant difference. Only my opinion.

    • @dcs27006
      @dcs27006 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@richrudley2650 absolutely it will. A .001” indicator can be off a few tenths upon repeat. So if your only bumping shoulders back .002” then I assure you if you have one .0017” it could effect your impact…that’s like saying a grain doesn’t matter

  • @2whl4re

    I have one of these. It's a nice tool, but checking a fired case may or may not work. The insert is too tight for my fired brass, and since I don't have a custom reamer to open it up, I'm stuck. Or more accurately, the case is stuck.

    • @FClassJohn
      @FClassJohn  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you are able to, I would send it to your Gunsmith and ask him to open it up to match your brass.

    • @2whl4re
      @2whl4re 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FClassJohn Followup - as an experiment, I ordered a LE Wilson case gage. Not only do the fired cases fit with no issues, it works perfectly to measure bump with the PMA tool. The Wilson case gage costs a bit more, but it's cheaper than having to send the PMA case gage to a gunsmith to ream what should fit in the first place. I'm going to see if PMA will take back the one that doesn't fit, and move forward with the Wilson.

    How does it compare to the Redding Instant Indicator?

    • @FClassJohn
      @FClassJohn  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve never used to the Redding so I’m sorry I can’t compare. The reason I haven’t used it is probably the only thing I can tell you and that’s because it has a very limited number of calibers that it’s offered in.

      @@FClassJohn I talked to the people at PMA and they now have blanks so that you can make your own according to your reamer.
