I've been listening to Chris Ledoux for about a year now. Man, I loved country, but where was he when I was a kid and he was alive? As a grown man now I find that characteristic much more valuable and I appreciate it much more than I would have if I was a kid. Chris was great, popular and well known. He just never had the presence of Nashville. He was a real cowboy. It's like in his song "Cowboy Songs" where he said "Hank Williams Jr writes'em tough and sings'em rough. Charlie Daniels sings a song about the bills. Waylon and Willie sing about...anything they like.....you might not think this is a Cowboy song. But it is, cause I wrote it and I'm a real life buckaroo" I much prefer this to Rascal Flats. But, as a young man, I appreciate the whole demeanor and personality that Chris comes across in his music. I may not have as a kid. Rest in peace.
