Chris was my son's favorite artist. My son was cowboy through and through. Like Chris my sweet child left this world way to soon. I have a feeling they are making music in heaven.
Chris had a way of telling great stories with his unique voice and big smile. He was my friend and a genuinely nice person. He is truly missed. Sincerely, JC & The Renegades
Brings back memories. My mom and i were on our way back from my grandfathers funeral in michigan. We were just outside of chattanooga, TN when this song comes on the radio. Unfortunately right after it ended, the dj came on and announced that he had just passed. You can imagine my shock. My mother, who is not a big country listener, was even saddened. That is how big of a legacy that Mr. Ledoux left, and i am glad to see that his son is carrying on that legacy
This was my intro to Chris. I was 12 or 13 at the time living on a farm/ranch and liked rock. When I saw this video on CMT my mind was blown. It sent me down a rabbit hole that has led me over the years to all these artists that have been influenced by Chris such as Ian Munsick, Aaron Watson, Cody Johnson and of course Ned just to name a few.
I thought this was a cover of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Bands 80s hit Cadillac Ranch. It was not. But I highly recommend it, the original video is on TH-cam. Enjoy! Yeeehawww!! ❤
Your experience is very similar to mine, but I liked rock/metal and country as well back in those days. I lived out in the woods, was (and still am, and live even farther in the woods, lol) a hillbilly instead of on a farm. Thanks for sharing. This song takes me back to a great time in my life. 😢
He was the first country music singer I ever listened to and made me fall in love with country music. I was into a bunch of different music before I was introduced to country music. He is my fav singer, love me some old school country
My wonderful Dad, my beautiful Mom, and my sweet Stepmom all died within 5 months two years ago and this song gets me every time. There was love all around and nothing was left unsaid before they died but this song reminds me of when they were here. I cry every time I hear it but I smile because I know they're not in pain anymore and they're in a better place. Thank you Willie and Lukas
Chris ledoux will always be my favorite country music singer of all time Chris ledoux country music hall of fame I grow up lesson to Chris ledoux with my whole family still in 2024
It does not Get Any Better than this. Etta was way underrated. " Id Rather Go ind" at times was my theme song with a relationship that lasted 37 years of ups and downs. If it got bad ,I thro on Etta's cd with this song on it and things would smooth out. Thanks Chris ,honey you knew which one to pick.✌️💜🙂↕️🙏😪
I was a fan when I was just an FFA kid and rodeos gymkanas omaksees and trrail riding met the band in 80' fresh out of the wheat fields in the Palouse .. still a huge fan. Bless his soul. Good feller:)
i hear you on that one. I'm barely 22 years old and I've been listening to George Strait and Christ Ledoux and REAL country since I was a little little girl. I'm sure Chris is rolling over in his grave because of whats playing on the radio today.
I was a kid in the 70's and got watch the rodeo in Casper,Wy behind the chutes, my uncle new some of the stock contractors back then, anyway I got his autograph along with a few others,on my cheap straw hat, little did I now he'd end up being the Cowboy poet for a generation.
What a great song. Chris was taken from us was to soon. He was called your true COWBOY rodeo champion rancher country music singer. You don't see that anymore. Or doing all 3 of those are very RARE
My grandma and grandpa lived in kacee Wyoming where Chris LeDoux ranch was I never met him but grandparents knew him well I saw him 3 times in concert he was a class act
I'd say Shania twain started it...although her early stuff is good (whose bed have your boots...) so is Mcgraw, Toby Keith etc...for whatever reason around 2000 it started changing. This guy's voice is so authentically country...
Wht happened to the good ol country like tht now. I dnt go out to bars no more. Bc all the ol country is gone no good old country girls to go out with now
How can you not hear this song and not smile and enjoy it. Chris was stolen from this world...brilliant artist
Gives me goosebumps every damn time. God I wish country could come back to this. The best era of country music.
@@simpledj509chromo7we have his son Ned keeping his father's memory and music alive. May the spirit of Chris LeDoux never die.
heard it for the first time 20 minutes ago. it's a banger
That he was. And one hell of a bronc rider
Because not everyone enjoys the same things and there is nothing wrong with that. If you think everyone has to enjoy the same shit you enjoy, you have issues.
I SURE DO MISS HIM AND HIS UNIQUE STYLE OF COUNTRY MUSIC, REST IN PEACE CHRIS
Chris was and still is one of the best country singers there will ever be. Chris you are missed. R.I.P Chris

Chris Ledoux is a MUST HAVE in your music library.
Chris was my son's favorite artist. My son was cowboy through and through. Like Chris my sweet child left this world way to soon. I have a feeling they are making music in heaven.
I'm sorry for your loss but I'm sure that he and Chris are both having blast together up in heaven ✝️

I remember when this song gone out in the early 90s. Seen Chris in concert 20 years ago. He put on a hell of a show.
May this cowboy go thru the old country gates on his way to Cowboy Heaven beautiful music. God bless your soul.
Man, first time hearing Chris. We're western mounted games riders in South Africa, and his songs are just awesome! Loving it
He put on such a great show. I only had the privilege of seeing a couple of times. I still have a couple of individual CD’s and a great box set.

This takes me back to my childhood riding in a 87 Silverado with my brother around our country home and dirt roads miles away from any town
I couldn’t be more proud to know I’m from Wyoming with his music

Hasn't been the same since Mcgraw started wearing black leather hats. Stay strong hombre, rock or cowboy on.. however you do it.
I'd say Shania twain started it...although her early stuff is good (whose bed have your boots...) so is Mcgraw, Toby Keith etc...for whatever reason around 2000 it started changing. This guy's voice is so authentically country...

No, He was born in Biloxi, Miss. He had his Ranch in Kaycee, and went to college in Casper. And now his ashes are forever in Cheyenne.
I tried playing this song on my drum set and ended up breaking the snare head, awesome song 👍
