      Couldn't agree more. And judges always ask 'well why didn't didn't just reach out for help? If I were you I would've done so, not kill my molester" um how dare you tell a victim what you wouldve done in that situation? And don't you think they tried that already? Erik and Lyle's cousins literally took the stand and said they spoke up about their abuse as kids and one of em even saw Jose take a shower with Erik when Erik was 8 years young. Those boys did reach out but the mom allowed it cause when one of Lyle and Erik's friends tried to warn the mother she said she didn't believe it and turned the other cheek.

      Thé interviewer was saying that those cases which are settled involve families whose contest is degrading (very poor living conditions, use of drugs, lack primary needs meet like food, water etc). In the Melendez case, they were living in luxury. Of course it doesn’t justify the abuse. The interviewer was very clumsy, don’t think twice when phrasing it. He just pointed “why didn’t you live”?

When it was time for his trial, they didn’t have a jury, the case was examined by highly qualified lawyers. They convicted and sentenced him. The reason they didn’t have a trial by jury was because the case was so public and well known…people were already decided he was guilty without seeing evidence (he was proven guilty too)

    In a psychological way I can understand “why” and the final blow to the mother. What he was shooting was not the “Parents” but the “Monsters” that they grew up that took their “innocence and humanity.” I think that having them was going to keep them the same “without liberty” because even if they would have gone to the police the parents would have accused them and put their reputation downhill in the circle they belong. I believe that if they would have not done it, the”father” would had kill them .! and the father would had gotten away because he would had twist the story and made them seem as the threat. And the mother would had supported the father. So either way it was the parents or “them”. A sad ending for them after having experienced inhuman things.

    Let's be honest, the probability that a parent will raise a psychopath without doing anything of their own is extremely low. It's extremely unlikely that two children will easily become psychopaths. It certainly had nothing to do with the fact that they were too "spoiled", not raised enough or not beaten enough.
    Children's actions always reflect the behavior and mechanisms they learned from their parents.
    I don't believe that two loving and trusting parents were murdered here.
    Nevertheless, given the personality of the two perpetrators, their behavior and the extent of the crime, we are dealing with exceptionally disturbed people who, if released, should undergo sustained and serious therapy.
    Unfortunately, the American law and penal system is based on a doctrine that prevents perpetrators from being given adequate psychological treatment at all.

Yes she could have taken the abuse but the moment he started with her boys especially to that disgusting vile degree she should have went straight to the Dr!!!! The could have easily examined him and seen the damage to his poor little bottom. Ugh makes my stomach turn. Where I’m from there’s more chances of a girl being molested than not and what absolutely hurts them the most is their moms not doing anything. I’m sure they were in sheer rage while shooting her and understandably so.

    I really don't understand these interviewers. They really don't understand what rage will do to somebody. He's talking about how they fired the gun a second time. They were in a rage! People explode and it can happen when you've been abused for so long it doesn't mean what they did was okaybut the confusion of the interviewer is just ridiculous. They have no ability to understand trauma🤦

    I just finished watching the show "Monster" on Netflix, and i believe that Lyle and Erick may have experienced sexual abuse. They described their fear and anxiety when their father would knock on the door and ask for sexual intercourse with Erick. It's truly heartbreaking to think about a child having to endure such fear and abuse for their entire life. It's puzzling why the jurors didn't believe them, as it's unlikely they would come up with such detailed stories if they hadn't actually experienced something like that. It's really tragic that they are still behind bars. 😢😢😢

  • @GDeanG1963
    @GDeanG1963 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Why does the interviewer find it hard to believe that if Lyle and Erik had simply driven away from home to somewhere unknown rather than having killed their parents that their extemely controlling, manipulative, "powerful", "influential", physically and sexually abusive father would not have, somehow, someway, found where his two sons had gone to and, if finding them, would not have killed his two sons right there. The father sexually abused and repeatedly raped his own young sons, and that kind of perverted activity absolutely destroys one's ability to love in a natural way!
    The Holy Bible says that "Adultery (any wrongful sexual activity) and strong drink (alcohol, illicit drugs, etc.) both take away the natural affections.
    Both parents were corrupted as parents.
    The father because of his abusive actions, and the mother for letting it happen, and doing a bit herself.

    They never fought back. Most people push harder to do better when their parents or teachers challenge them.
    I'm sorry, but I do not pity them.
