They weren't 8, 9 or 11 y.o when they commited those crimes, they were around 18 and 21. They weren't poor, they had all the opportunities in terms of getting psychological/psychiatric help, in terms of getting a good lawyer to go against their father, in terms of seeking for professional help unlike poor people who depend on the public system (that you know it has never been good). They had higher education, so they both had more tools to find a way to take revenge legally.
They decided to go the criminal way, they understood the criminality of their actions, they bought weapons two days prior to the killings, and during that time they didn't stop, but they continued pursuing their criminal act. Once they killed their parents they started to live a luxurious life, spending a lot of money in luxury items, showing no remorse at all... So, to me this goes beyond resentment, this was mostly criminal behavior and perhaps psychopath minds working together.
It's heartbreaking to see them try to talk about S.A, but those sad expressions should be taken with a grain of salt, not forgetting their situations and privileges prior to the killings they decided to commit... Anyways, people can easily fall for a pretty face and an athletic body in tears, and this seem to be one of those cases.
I think they both got what they deserved.

They killed the person they blame for S.A. so that's another case, and the person they killed was not able to defend himself (you don't know if those S.A stories are real)... They called the cops in tears after watching a Batman movie... People judge the jury, but they know much better than you why they gave that sentence. You weren't there, you're just watching two pretty boys crying and that's the only thing you have to judge them. Ridiculous

Sexual child abuse is more common in all family demographics than anyone ever wants to admit. I have so many friends who have admitted to me that they were sexually abused as children or even teenagers, usually either by a family member or someone close to the family. And they've usually never told anyone in the family about what happened to them, but it still effects them to this day. And I can't blame them because I vividly remember a very good friend of mine in middle school finally telling another friend in our group that her father raped her, which was why she never wanted any of us to stay over at her house. She was always asking to come stay with any of us for the weekend and now I know why. Our friend then told her parents, and it all came out from there. My friend's parents were both arrested because her mom knew about it, and then she had to basically go into hiding because her father's family was claiming she was a liar and that her father would never do that to her and were literally threatening to come hurt her. A thirteen year old girl and their own family member. I saw all this happening myself so it's not something I was just told about. I feel for the Menendez brothers and anyone else who was abused so horrifically by people they should have been able to trust and never felt like they could tell anyone.

I am sure it's embarassing to mention and fear tactics are usually used to keep them quiet which is why it's not often reported. People acting like this is unusual is what's suprising.

I dont know if I got the information wrong or something because like I’ve heard that they were buying cars and trying to get girls?.??? Also can someone tell if they actually got abused or not but from what I’ve heard again I’m using that phrase lol they when the parents died they were on the couch doing something like maybe watching a movie so in the eyes of the court of law they currently weren’t harming them in self defense, if the parents were allegedly abusing he sons the exact time that they died I’m pretty sure it would considered as self defense but because the currently weren’t harming them it’s not consider self defense AND IM NOT SAYING THAT EVEN IF THE ALLEGED ALLEGATIONS OF ABUSE ARE TRUE IM SAYING ITS OKAY I’m just saying the information I know thank you for reading this.

@@abbysykes6673 I do, I know people who have been, there’s other ways to deal with it, things that help people escape, and it would’ve been different if it was when they were being abused they killed them, they they snuck up behind them with shotguns, that’s not self defense, self defense is when someone is trying to kill or severely injure you and you shoot and kill them, like a car jacking or home invasion, but it wasn’t they deliberately snuck up behind them, and like I said, they chose to be idiots and blow all that money they got, which is something that is VERY useful for prosecutors to use to convict, and it makes them think that was their motive, they could’ve done some things differently to avoid prison but they did what they did and have nobody to blame but themselves, and I hate how everyone says it was “self defense” and they were “victims” any other situation and it wouldn’t be said

This case hurts my soul. Because I myself was molested as a kid. Adopted into a family with new parents, new siblings. I thought I really had a good chance at a better life then I would have had I been put in foster care. I was sexually abused by my "sisters and brothers" I was the youngest of them all. I wondered why they all would do these things to me. I thought it was normal because so many siblings did to me... I felt so much shame and sadness. There were times I went to my parents and they wouldn't believe me, but I know they knew. Sometimes they would see how we were around each other... I was so uncomfortable with my family by time I was a teen because I think them doing all they did to me made me do stupid things when I was young, thinking it was okay and normal for kids... Teens anyone to do. Gave my virginity away like it didn't matter.. Failed relationships and being taken advantage of time and time again. I wish so bad my parents would have believed me and stopped it. I wish would have told teachers or someone. I still feel sickended to this day because I feel as if it was all my fault. They took it out on me when they were happy or sad. They always hated me for getting everything I wanted. I feel so sorry for these two. You can never really come back from all that. I know I still haven't
