Agreed !!! I'm glad it didn't get to this point. I did have a spare ECU, but forgot to order a replacement crank position sensor. Thanks for watching and commenting!!!
Too much wasted money on unneeded parts. With most Volvos, no start means bad fuel pump relay. I buy one and carry the old one after I touch up bad solder joins.
I replaced the fuel pump relay first, but that didn't fix the problem, so then I replaced the fuel pump and that didn't fix it either. So the last thing I replaced was the cam position sensor, and that worked. I put the old fuel pump relay back in, and it still worked, so the relay definitely wasn't the problem.
Now she’s set for a good while.
