Everyone knows her. American #trackandfield hurdler and sprinter #sydneymclaughlin who competes in the 400 meters hurdles, is known for her achievements on and off the track. So, yes, everyone knows her for sure.
Because of this, what she recently did sent people across the globe in shock!
But first, let’s talk about who Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone is. On the track, Sydney is a superstar. That’s the word most suited to describe her. Why? Well, if you didn’t know already, but you should’ve, is that she is a 2x Olympic champion, 3x World champion, 1x World Championships Silver medallist, 1x World Youth champion, 3x Diamond League meeting winner, 1 x NCAA champion, 2x National champion, and 1x Diamond Trophy winner. Mind you, those are just some of her major achievements.
What’s more, she’s the current World Record holder for the 400mH as well as the current NACAC Record holder for the same event. So far in her career, she once held and currently holds a total of four #worldathletics World Records. Yes, ONLY four. Please note the emphasis on FOUR.

For me, her humility is her most wonderful characteristic.
As a Sydney fan, it doesn’t bother me that she’s not running in track meets of zero importance. As long as she ready for the U.S. Championships and the World Championships, I’m happy.
As a track fan, I believe the season is more than just the US nationals & World championships. These meets are not meaningless. Part of greatness is consistent dominance.
I would like to see her run in a few of them. I enjoy watching her run. I want to see her and Bol race more than just once this year. Also, It would be good for the sport.
They are young and shouldn't be burnt up before they reach the top of their careers. They should never lose the fun.
Smart. Worry about training. She ease into good competition.

I'm tired of bait and switch titles. You'd think something new happened, and you're just talking about past performances.
Yeah it’s really her only priority. She went to continental tour meet in Hungary last year to prep for this year. She’s going to Paris next week to prep for Olympics, probably help visualizing. Plus like a random season opener in the states usually that’s it.
But I do wish that there were incentives to compete at Diamond league meets, so her and other athletes were competing head-to-head more, pushing each other
Maybe next time - actually show the race.
