Tebogo has a chance to be one of the greatest sprinters ever. He is an elite sprinter from 100m to 400m.

The same could be true of Knighton and it is already true of Lyles that he is one of the greatest sprinters ever.
It seems that TRP and you believe that to earn that title a runner has to do the 100m, 200m, 300m and 400m. Yet Bolt is the greatest ever and he did not continue running the 400m and I don't think he ever ran the 300m. So to be considered the greatest currently active sprinter, there is no reason that any individual should have to run all four. What is important is that he win the World's 100m and/or the 200m title. So far Letsile has not done either and Lyles has.

I also did not say anything about any other sprinters.
I posted about Tebogo because the video is about Tebogo.

@@vernonfrance2974 Usain could have done many 400s and done 43.xx a lot of times for free, just from his 200m training.
He just chose to never run them sadly.
He once on a training track, just for fun, did a 45.xx as part of a training block where he was already tired.
His relaxation is otherworldly.
The scariest thing about him is that he's still unsure of what sprint he wants to focus on, yet he's already a beast from 400m-100.

This guy's potential is unreal. It will be a joy to watch his career as he progresses.
I love Tebogo's style, he reminds me of Bolt. The easy style, charm, and the showboating. Well, they are not the same (Bolt and Tebogo) but Tebogo is an exciting talent, has a lean body, and runs with an easy style. Tebogo does not tighten up while running, he just flows with the running just like elite runners like Bolt and FloJo.
Bolt was more of a power sprinter than finesse sprinter to be honest.
Yaaa he is smooth like flojo
His effortless looking style is more similar to a Michael Johnson who never appeared to be trying too hard

Let's hope he avoids injuries in the upcoming seasons, and we might see Bolt's 200m record challenged. He seems to lack pure strength needed for 100m but his form works perfectly for 200m and 400m.
Some younger sprinters are skinny before putting on more muscle. Like Tyson Gay for instance. Tebogo needs to go through a slight body transformation

Tebogo is on the right track to be the top athlete in the world .he's so talented it unbelieveable. He will break records and set records. I have so much faith in this young man's. Nextyear we will see more growth from him. Am not for getting the next super talent erriyon knighton. This guy's will definitely up there whit tebogo. they will reign together.
Been saying this for a long time Tebogo is the next coming of an era of speed we have never witnessed. If he continues at this pace he will redefine alot of what we knew about sprinting mechanics.
I see Tebogo breaking the 300m WR in the next few years and potentially the 200m WR by the end of his career. The most promising talent since Bolt hands down!

Fascinating. I learn something new every day. Tabogo is a wunderkind. At 20, however, he's got so many obstacles. The media, the press, corporate sponsors, and sins around every corner. I hope his mom and dad clamp it down. Tabogo has got to keep his head screwed on straight. Work and don't look up. Just imagine Tabogo breaking, not just one world record, but four world records.

@@MM-zb9kc The only reason Knighton beat Tebogo in that 200m is because Tebogo already ran 3 rounds in the 100m. Tebogo ran 6 rounds compared to Knighton's 3 and you still see they were within one tenth of a second of each other.

I think his running style, which is reminiscent of Michael Johnson (no wasted upper body movement) is textbook and beautiful to watch. Also his leg turnover reminds me of FloJo who had the best, male or female - and he’s only 20! He’s going to be a problem!

Sherika from Jamaica did the same. She started as a 400m and is doing well at 100 and 200m. Bolt also used to run the 400m.

u could tell that he was struggling on the back straight of that 400m and it was just strength, conditioning and maintenance that defeated him, as u say with more training in the 400m he could very well get close or even dip the 44s mark and with that 300m time he would be in a singular position of beating all the 4 sprint benchmarks, he is a hell of a runner and just getting better and better, other than training i think the main thing he needs is proper competition to run against as we saw when he dropped over 3/10ths of a second off his PB when he got that 19.50s 200m silver medal
Would he have to eat different or drink different supplements .

Take a closer look at his form and mechanics. There is no wasted motion. He doesn’t raise his knees like other runners. Instead, he focuses on driving his legs through all the way trailing behind him and then cycles back through with his feet kicking his but. No other athlete does that.

Bit of history. August 1983 also saw Calvin Smith become the first athlete to run under 10 seconds (9.97) for the 100 m and under 20 seconds (19.99) for the 200 meters in the same evening in Zurich, Switzerland.

Seriously, the actual fastest athlete in the world right now is unquestionably Noah Lyles. However, its fair to say that Tebogo has the potential to surpass Lyles in the future.
He is probably the most versatile world class sprinter right now. But that does not make him the fastest.

Tebogo has never beaten Knighton and they are the same age, Knighton may be a few months younger. In the U20 age bracket Knighton has the 13 fastest 200m times EVER ran, and yes thats including Bolts fastest times which was 14th behind Knightons 13 faster times

Its not as rare as it could be. Most elite strinters could do it. They just choose not to run the 300 and 400 to concentrate on their 2 strongest events. I know if i was world class in 100 and 200 i wouldnt even consider the longer distances

Bolt won when it mattered the most so i get what you're saying, but Bolt is not remembered for those close victories he had, why? anybody can pull that off on a good day. U know how James bond lyks to introduce himself with his surname first and then his name, yea thts a common thing in Africa ? Yes thts the same with this young man his name is actually Tebogo and his surname is Letsile
Ye I always felt like something was of. Here in South Africa Tebogo is almost always a first name. I only know one person with that as a surname.
It's also kinda the same with Su Bingtian. Till this day I don't know if his first name is "Su" or "Bingtian". Everyone just calls him Su. Even Google can't tell me lol.
Billions of Chinese say what we consider their first name, second and what we consider their last name first. Big Deal! It's not that unusual and has NOTHING to do with running fast.
