Hey everyone! Thank you all so very much for watching and engaging with my video on the crash physics in The Matrix Awakens technical demo. I really do appreciate all of your comments and feedback. My goal with this video was to showcase some of the technical aspects of the tech demo from my own perspective. For anyone that may not be completely familiar with the Matrix Awakens, it was a tech demo released on console and PC to showcase what was possible using Unreal Engine 5 and is using Lumen Ray-traced Global Illumination and Reflections system as well as Unreal Engine 5’s Nanite Virtualized Geometry. It is not an actual game or game in development sadly, although I very much wish it was. The physics system used in the game is called Chaos Physics. It’s a light-weight physics simulation solution used in games like Fortnite and includes features like Rigid Body Animation Nodes (RBAN), Destruction, Cloth, Ragdoll, and Vehicles. I do appreciate that there are definitely aspects of the physics system that could do with further refinement and optimization. I value the diversity of opinions and am grateful for the opportunity to learn from all of you. Thank you for being a part of this community.

Chaos, if i'm correct, is an efficient system with focus in small objects; chaos vehicles is it's direct derivate, but it'll still process objects exactly the same way, just by their mass center, that's why the cars have that enormous amount of spin; if you note from an older game engine, like blam! dude its a tech demo.... its showcasing the graphics not physics DUDE
demo my ass, the game has been out for over a year DUDE
@@ArnoldTohtFan it's a TECH demo. It was never supposed to be an actual game it was just made to showcase Unreal Engine 5
@@usernem8753 the game was released over a year ago, and this video was uploaded a month ago, so no, it's not a demo.
@@ArnoldTohtFan do you know what a tech demo is ?
Crash physics are closer to what we know from gta then beam ng
The AI in this game is about as dumb as a brick, and that all the more makes for realism when the AI is intelligent. People don’t just go about their lives if nothing happened when an accident occurs. It becomes a spectacle.
you'd be amazed how many don't give a crap to what happens to their surrounding.
@@goku445 but they still gather and watch , why? Because it breaks their routines. The AI In this game done even so much as flinch much less a glance or a rubberneck . It’s crapp from my view
@@hemigod2 yes... this technical demo isn't about anything else other than car crash.
@@goku445 seen Goku, but a car crash consists of many things which makes it what it is and if they are going for realism here they need to do better, We are in 2023 not 2003. You are chatting with a city guy who is desensitized like you mentioned . But there has been enough times that I have at least turn to look to see how many people gather around an incident but nonetheless, as long as it don’t concern me I go about my business .but anyway The first red dead redemption had better AI than this ….
@@goku445 OK if you don’t like that one let’s jump on another dynamic. If you are in traffic and I drive by and hit your car with my car, are you gonna just sit there in the car looking stupid are you gonna jump out and come after Me/look at the damage?
Average day in new york:
GTA 6 game play ☠️💀☠️💀☠️💀☠️💀
After a decade, we are finally witnessing gta4-level physics in a game
Can you still download this game?
@@Nunya58294 ok fair enough
I wasn't completely aware that it wasn't available for some people, but you should be able to download it at anytime providing you downloaded it at least once before when it was available on the store.
@@Nunya58294 He just asked... Why the fuck you came up with this toxic shit? Get a life you weirdo.
He actually replied lol
yes
I honestly cannot understand what is so special about this game/demo.
i will stick to BeamNG, thank you.
Bro Is A BeamNG Fanboy Because Bro Thinks Real Life Is Unrealistic
@@ReddyHTFAlt I might as well just commit multiple hit and runs in real life then
Beamng is far more realistic than this game with crappy driving dynamics and the lack of customizability, rather pay $30 for a game and support a small group of game devs than pay 60 for a game that barely runs well on the most powerful console at this time.
@@notfoxgaming1764 Oh
Tbh once the matrix filter goes off I can’t even tell it’s matrix related.
This is better than GTA & Cyberpunk graphicswise.
Except it needs the multiple stars for damages and police chase as well as angry reactions from the AI vehicles for damages...
Alternatively it needs a good story with a mafia boss like Giancarlo Espositio as the main character villain that should last for at least 10 game series.
gta6 might use this system in gta 6
NPUs will solve any issues soon. Meteor Lake APUs are going to be revolutionary this coming year in gaming.
Pretty sure clipping a vehicle wouldnt nudge yours, it would hook and pull you. Not bounce away like a marble at the playground.
this looks exactly like the game that this youtuber showed in his video where you can use AI to speak with NPCs. it’s the exact same spot like in the beginning
Add BeamNG physics. That would be nice.
Am I crazy and jaded or is this not nearly as good looking as we were led to believe when it was first released
Oh yeah, Liberty City!
Why does this feel like I’m watching gameplay of watchdogs 2?
At least I know what GTA will be like
I think this game would be better with:
Realistic Driving physics
Adding "Mass" for each vehicle because crash are beautifully ridicolous :/
I don't think there is a thug life like gta v
It got old + online mode is total bs. Story is bang average as well... good game but we need a new one...
@@Fiat_Multipla69por isso estamos esperando gta 6 lança
It's a tech showcase not a game
