My mustang has been in paint jail since 2019. Took it out from one shop that was once famous on YT that was stealing time and parts from me, to another shop that has done nothing since except steal my money and time. I paid for my car 3 times over doing a paint job and I have nothing to show for it. So I've been crying watch you rescue and restore this one before I even got mine road worthy. The good news is it started like a champ after savaging for parts that were missing a few weeks ago.
@@mattfarahsmillionmilelexus TKO Resto New Albany, IN. Second one still pending-- if he gives me my money back for paint, so I wont name it until he resolves it or screws me over.
This is where I would be getting nervous because I would be breaking more things than I could find replacements for. I Like your attention to detail unlike the prior fix it guys who didn't take the trim off. thanks Scott for all your hard work putting out great videos.
Wow, your talent, know how and experience never ceases to amaze me. You make all of this seem so simple. I know for you it really is. Your patient and know all the ins and outs. It’s Friday and the weekends knocking at the door. Thanks for the update! Have a great weekend! Maybe you can find some great pizza and a brew. See you in the next video you drop! 😊🎄
Fox Mustang enthusiast here. Your comments about Ford and this car crack me up. Not just because I have a sense of humor, but more because every comment is true, and I've had the same thoughts.
Just as I was getting out of the body shop I learn that you can use the nylon webbing straps that comes as packing binders as moulding and emblem removal like a piano wire for windshields. 1/4" - 1/2" work best.
That's going to be a really nice car when its done. Since I'm not a body man or mechanic I can admit that style Mustang is one of my favorites. Black is also my go to color for a car. I have two now both black.
The taillights are OK-ish, but the Foxes that look most original bring the strongest money. A nice pair of cheese graters and a fresh 6 piece set of stock Chineseum headlights will polish an additional grand into that car, all day every day.
Another great video. To be clear I’d watch Scott work on a farm tractor, airplane or boat as long as it includes his dry, sarcastic and hilarious narration. I’m not a Ford guy but this one would be a nice one to own but I’m sure Scott had it sold before starting the rebuild.
15 or so years ago I had the option of a red original fox body ( really clean) or a 05 gt that only had 47 k miles and looked brand new so I bought the 05. I loved my o5 but kinda always wishes I would have got the old fox body.
This car is going to look so nice when painted. I'm the original owner of a '93 Ranger XLT 4L with 80,000 original miles. It's getting long in the tooth and could use paint. Maybe next year. lol 👍👍👍
I think I might of ask before, is there some background to this restore or just because you can? Not that i don't disagree..... its still cool that you can and i do appreciate the hard work and vision that it takes. Cool video as always!!
I suppose you know that the Ford badge was originally round, but because the bonnet has to be opened and shut such a lot, it became oval. There is an optical fiber camera available that guys use to check the inside of cylinders, inside fuel tanks, etc. It could come in useful when working in hard to see places like under the dashboard, especially when a screw or nut must be fastened. Maybe you could invest in one?
Macco doesn't even sand all the rust off, or tape off the jams or under hood. You get to see all the cracks they painted over and spend days cleaning all the overspray off everything.
Looking good Scott. I think Ford put the long studs in because they were too cheap to pay for glasses for the guys on the assembly line & Ford definitely loves fine threads.
The bodywork/interior gnome isn't usually available for answers, but I do have a question: What's the proper fix for that door pocket on the interior? Is it elastic replacement, or ...?
Ill send you some tailights. Please dont use those cringe ones. Ill send you some smoked 93 lx ones. They are just sitting here. I love your channel so its worth the shipping.
Is the Car worth it? How much do you pay for a Paintjob in the States? In Germany no one will paint a whole Car under 6.000€ ... in most Shops 8.000 till 10.000€ ...
Forgive me if this has already been answered. Who is the car for? Pizza girl? I can’t imagine it would be a normal car to sell? He could have done 5 grand ams In the time this has required. I would rather watch this so I am happy.
Did you order a Gopro? When those overheat they double as portable fireplaces. 😂LOL. Great job on the Mustang. For once a quality Ford product not redone by Ford.

Despicable. Care to name the shops?

Saw your video on getting your car back
Something satisfying watching proper R&I’s happening, nice job
Really enjoying this Mustang. Wish I had room....

Despite your comments, I think you have a little fondness for this one trick pony ! May you and yours have a merry Christmas.

How is the 93 Mustang coming along? I keep checking for the next video bro. :)

Thank you for the welcome! 😀
That's a funny looking Grand Am.
Maybe the paint will make it look right. 😂

Nicely done as usual, Scott.
Looking forward to an update on this one, this is a great series.
I finally got to hear my Mustang Project start recently! Your’s is coming together nice. 😎👍
They sound much better when you can stop pushing them! 😂
Love that you are pushing/rolling the car back when you run the spatula thru the two sided tape on the door moulding!
Thanks for sharing . Enjoy your content . Good humor also 😊
That's going to be a really nice car when its done. Since I'm not a body man or mechanic I can admit that style Mustang is one of my favorites. Black is also my go to color for a car. I have two now both black.
Always great to see all the work you make look so easy. Big Up!
It's going to be a beauty . Of course your doing the rebuild so it has to be .
Almost done.
I still have to remember how to put it back together! 😂
Loose the luggage rack and add a deck lid spoiler
It is coming along well and will likely look great when you are done. Definitely a keeper, even if it is a Ford.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Thx for doing this, filming it and sharing it with us. 👍👍👍👍👍
Cant wait for another update of this car cant belive its been a month since we have last seen it
great work. I know he has had other projects like the Acura MDX but hope he has bandwidth to comeback for Mustang content.

Same to you!
Dig the new camera!! You're still the best. Keep up the great work, sir.

New camera came? Lookin' good.
Thanks as always.
That's not just a hammer doubling as a fulcrum, that's now classified as an "Assault Fulcrum"!!! 🙂
Most excellent.....again.
Thanks
The Fox Body will be foxy.

The new camera is great - though I'm sorry you had the unexpected expense.
Yeah immediately noticed the difference, much better!
It’s my phone and is only temporary. Hopefully the new camera is just a good because using a phone is much more editing work that I will not be doing.
This car is going to look so nice when painted. I'm the original owner of a '93 Ranger XLT 4L with 80,000 original miles. It's getting long in the tooth and could use paint. Maybe next year. lol 👍👍👍
and here's why I watch. This IS the way it should be done.
You are getting closer!
In case I forget, for you and your team and family have a great Christmas and a great new year, Regards Doug.
Impressive video.
Thanks
The washer fluid fountain counts as cowl cleaning.....Jr. clean freaks rejoice. 😊
I got more of the hood than anything! 😂
I think I might of ask before, is there some background to this restore or just because you can? Not that i don't disagree..... its still cool that you can and i do appreciate the hard work and vision that it takes. Cool video as always!!
Love the work you do!
Nice!
Thank you! Cheers!

Man, the new camera is so sharp, this is practically smell-o-vision

That Mustang is in pretty good shape for its age. Other than the wrecked part of course.
I'm amazed you actually had a 10mm socket. I guess in the US it's the 3/8th ones that always go missing...?
Great looking car
Great information and camera work. Any tips to remain calm as I am getting older? You fun to watch and experience helps.
Yoga, drugs, therapy. Not necessarily in that order.
Looking good Scott. I think Ford put the long studs in because they were too cheap to pay for glasses for the guys on the assembly line & Ford definitely loves fine threads.
Hey Scott!
Hello 👋🏻 🥈
It's been some time since I've heard a reference to Narnia and I appreciate it.
@vehcor I hope you have a great weekend! Has Chicago gotten any snow?
Back on Halloween and I guess last week but I had none in FL where I was, that is just what I heard! 😂 Have a good weekend.
Man I am loving watching this mustang. I want it and with the tom petty cd also I love the taillights
Sometimes I think this is a Forearm workout video disguised as a car video . 💪💪💪😂😂😂
Love the new camera!
I may have missed it in your prior videos but mind telling us what you paid the yard for this Mustang?
The bodywork/interior gnome isn't usually available for answers, but I do have a question: What's the proper fix for that door pocket on the interior? Is it elastic replacement, or ...?
Fire.
?@@ShainAndrews
‘Door pocket’ delete panels are available online. Look great!
Is there a wait list for restoration? I have an 06 Silverado that could use your touch.
Scott you are the man. My queston is how much do you want for that Vert. $$$
New camera? Video quality looks very good.
iPhone, it actually takes more to edit for color grading. Not a fan but it is all I had until my new camera got here.
I noticed the same thing @Edmo. It was just like standing in the shop.
Nice.
When do we meet the painting nome or have you already introduced him or her?
I like the LEDs, what animal would execute an innocent Grand Am over a set of taillights?
😂 those crazy Ford fans!
If it works as received, LEAVE IT THE 'L' ALONE!
Anyone that runs into a crazy whiny Ford purest stay away from them. Tell them to go and kick rocks. Tell them to go and get lost
I am amazed that you work on Ford vehicles hating them as you do but love Government Motors.
I’m amazed you think I hate Ford and like GM. 🤷🏼♂️
What is a rough estimate for a paint job on this car in a coupe? Similar condition.
Whoever is watching this video, I hope this day will be a great day.
I'm sure someone will eventually complain about Baja Blast fountain. Me? I find it hilarious. Merry Christmas Scott and family
Did this ever get painted or did the shop issue put this on hold?
1:13 new camera? video looks crisper!!!
iPhone, new camera wasn’t delivered yet. I had to spend some time color grading and sharpening it when editing because it looked horrible.
@@vehcor I appreciate the effort, looked good to me!
the ford emblems fell off my ranger... I guess that's why it keeps going!
my chevy's "chalk outline" emblem was still on it when it died. :(
Man I’ve been looking for the ending song for a few weeks now. Lol. What’s the name of it?
“Statement” by Neffex.
just in a metric state of mind !
I can’t find the standard sockets under all the dust they have collected! 😂
Well, that's ONE Mustang project nearly done.........🤣
Thumbs UP!!
Thanks
That's how you do it. Nice work. The painting gnomes have youtube?? I want to see them paint.
Hey dude u r the superman of bump shop work u should teach a class a a local college
Wonder if the Painting Gnomes call Scott the Parts Gnome... :)
Do you have an estimate of the list price?
Fancy new camera?
Sad part is that no matter how much work you do, it won't be a Grand Am.
Ill send you some tailights. Please dont use those cringe ones. Ill send you some smoked 93 lx ones. They are just sitting here. I love your channel so its worth the shipping.
Thats a funny looking grandam
Great Video - Luv "I don't negotiate with Terrorist" - Towards the Pizza fund 🍕
Thank you for the support. I’ll give it to the pizza girl but there is no guarantee I’ll see a pizza! 😂
I want to know where on this picture of a crowd vehcor hurt that mustang purists feelings when he had aftermarket tail lights 😂
Don’t forget about Earl Scheib, holmes…
Is this a keeper or a selling project
That’s what I wanna know
Everything is for sale.
@@vehcor my question is are you building this to sell or for sale if the offer is good enough
Hola saludos desde CDMX de 🇲🇽🤟👍
Oh the days of rivets and butyl rubber.
I don’t miss those days! 😂
Is the Car worth it? How much do you pay for a Paintjob in the States? In Germany no one will paint a whole Car under 6.000€ ... in most Shops 8.000 till 10.000€ ...
Are you going to restart fixing your red Mustang that you've started ?
No
Oh you lost me at baja blast drinking fountain
Forgive me if this has already been answered. Who is the car for? Pizza girl? I can’t imagine it would be a normal car to sell? He could have done 5 grand ams In the time this has required. I would rather watch this so I am happy.
What are the torque specs for the Christmas trees ?😂
Güdentight
Hello
👋🏻
The LX tail lights were way better.
Did you order a Gopro? When those overheat they double as portable fireplaces. 😂LOL. Great job on the Mustang. For once a quality Ford product not redone by Ford.
I have a few GoPros and actually they have never been a problem, they just eat batteries. I’m also not a fan of the wide angle 4K.
If anyone complains about the Mustang's taillights, offer to send them a free cheese grater for Christmas...
I don't have any friends either.
