I may be wrong, but doesn't the traction system apply brakes to the spinning wheel, thereby sending power to the tire with traction? But in this video you kept letting off when it spun so the system never had the chance to send the power to the other wheels.
4 low and less air pressure in the tires. I have a 2017 GC Limited 4x4. Put the tire pressure to about 18 to 20 in each tire. Helps them conform to the rocks so you keep more traction. And 4 low keeps the engine revved up a little to keep it in the torque band yep keeps speed down so you don't tear your stuff up. The GC WK2 is a very capable truck even for those that aren't the most experienced.
driver doesn't understand how his traction control works. you have to stay steady on the gas and let the tires without traction spin for it to apply the brakes to the spinning wheels to transfer power the the wheel with traction. open diffs with brake lock differential...
This is an older model GC. I have a 2017 and don't have any issues offroad. I think this dude didn't know how to drive and probably also didn't have it in the correct offroad mode.
@@moonsapling QT 1 definitely doesn't have 4 low, I have one in my garage right now, the QT2 is the same system but with 4 low and terrain selection, but no QT1 definitely does not have 4 low, just full time 4x4 high which is totally fine for normal driving, winter driving, and some light off road trails, just no rock crawling or mud bogging, though I'm sure if you really wanted to you could but I personally don't want to beat up my beautiful GC by rock crawling it.
@@davidm9618 you didn't give the system enough time to send power to the wheel with traction. The 4x4 system on that jeep is not a good one. It spun so much at 3:45 I thought it was a 2wd version
This guy has no clue how to drive this jeep. This is a embarrassment to this vehicle. Go drive a car and leave the off roading to people who know what there doing.

i think this is quadra trac 2 system in it. the quadra drive 2 will make life much much much easier.
It doesnt look if the driver knows his vehicle capabilities and when to do what!!

Lift the air suspension, select 4L and apply the gas firmly. The jeep will do the rest.
WK2s are beautiful, and I would like to upgrade, but every time I see how little articulation they have, I decide to stay with my WJ.
To see what a Laredo wk2 can do watch the Jeep GC vs Patrol video.
Street tires? Hndi sumasayad? Ano settings mo sa airs suspension

It's a WK2. Same model since 2010.
What mode were you in? Your rear diff lock wasn't on
jon douglas he was in “ no thinking “ mode
Crawling is your friend. 4L. You don't have to pin-it every time.
Kyle RC facts. He need to select the right mode
That jeep shouldn't be struggling so hard.
looks like ou have the tire pressure way too high
He might not have 4L if it’s a Laredo just 4x4
At 2;20 the front and rear tires should be turning at same time. They look like they're taking turns.
Wonder if it's the QT1, no low range.
All QuadraTracs have low gears.
Umbra says - How can you tell it has QT? Most Laredo’s don’t come with 4lo option.
@@shinhochulp theres a button right below the gear shifter, should be saying 4 Low

Does this jeep have quadra trac I?
I'm going to remove your reverse gear so u can't back up. You Wil have no choice but to go forward and get after it
Sometimes you have to backup to go forward. If you ever did any off-roading, you'd know that.

@@davidm9618 my 03 jgc would eat that course. True 4x4 . Slow and steady. No back n forth bs
Was that on 4 low ?
I know what that jeep is capable off. I've seen worse obstacles than this and jeep always pulls through.
Need some better tires on there
True 4x4 works better. That jeep struggle way too much
If you have skid plates you should have gone faster than that
its a trailhawk lock your rear diff bud
that's no trailhawk..lol i think its just a Laredo with add ones and QD1
red tow hooks are trailhawk models
Those are just painted
That’s not a trail hawlk
Prairie Off Road those are Laredo wheels man
Unfortunately, Inexperienced driver...
new driver please...
3:38 my Dakota would went up them rocks on first attempt. None of that back n forth craps. You gonna wear your tires out with all that spinning.
That was hard to watch
Rookie... 🤓
thats a fake trail rated badge
them music is annoying.

GO FASTER THAN THAT; stop going so slow that is BAD;
