If you want to check out more of them I would recommend Time for the moon night which is one of their newer songs and also one of their most acclaimed songs. Gfriend is prounced G-friend. Most Gfriend songs, especially the older ones, have a dance break and a Yuju high note. Brilliant video as always!

You are right about sounding like an anime intro! Specially their song "Time for the moon night" - someone put this in the Sailor Moon intro and it's so suitable! Maybe you guys will like "Fingertip" better, it's more girl crush style I think (but still in their own GFriend style). I believe that's something about mixing orchestral music and guitars that give that feeling.
I feel like the cutesy theme from Gfriend feels very genuine and that's why is not cringy. It really feels like the that the way they are. Also, they have a guitar rif in every song.

Hey guys if you want watch a powerful choreography, the song "Rough" from gfriend, in my opinion have the most difficult choreography of the kpop, is very complex
I absolutely love Rough - its tricky choreography, although I actually think Love Whisper was even harder because they have to dance on water. A dancer friend of mine told me that Navillera is tougher in some ways because of all the hand positioning. I do think GFriend has the best choreo of any of the girl groups (I would say that Dreamcatcher's choreo might even be more difficult than GFriends)
Reacting to some of the dance practice videos would give a better idea of how a live stage performance is meant to look. And you'll still get to enjoy the music. Rough is definitely one of my favorite GFRIEND songs. It has a nostalgic yearning to it.

Incidentally, since you asked, Gfriend's sound is very much distinctive (in that you could hear an unknown Gfriend song and easily be able to tell it was them) and many of their songs do carry similar vibes to this one. They use electric guitars in pretty much all of their songs. Time for the Moon Light, Rough, Me Gustas Tu, Love Whisper and Summer Rain are my favourites of theirs along with Navillera, though I must admit they aren't one of my favourite girl groups. Nothing against them, just not the style I always want to listen to. I've been digging the new Mamamoo song Windflower and the new EXID song I Love You, lately!

You're right, there is SO much in kpop, but in general, it's high-quality music videos put most other stuff to shame, so i've loved mostly kpop for six years. Good reaction! :) If I could suggest your next Gfriend song, I think you'd like "Fingertip."
Gus is right with the pronunciation (letter)G-friend. My favorite songs are "Me Gustas Tu" and "Time for the Moonnight". Another group that uses classical western instruments and beats is Fromis_9. "Love Bomb" is their most marketable song but they use less classical instruments in it. My favorite, "To Heart" is filled with them and has a very catchy hook. But it may not be hard enough for a metalhead.
Honan said the video reminds him of ABBA which is from the 70s and he is right. The MV and their album photoshoots are all heavily inspired from the bowling, tennis, and rollerskating culture of the 70s.
Also, you guys should check out (you don't have to dedicate a whole video to it) the 2x dance of this song from the show Weekly Idol - Gfriend are the queens of it.

For something closer to your tastes, I know you guys have already checked out Dreamcatcher, which is the metal girl group, but for something fun and different, you guys should check out Dreamcatcher's metal cover of Havanna. You guys don't have to react to it on video necessarily, because it's not a formal music video, and only features their two dancers, but I think you guys would appreciate the metal cover.

I reccomend Day6's song Shoot Me. they are kinda a kpop 'rock band' in a way? their style often changes but for all their songs they use their own guitar, drums, keyboard, etc. and if you are looking to see more solo artists i reccomend Hyuna (fun fact: she used to be in a group with Sunmi and she is still friends with her till this day). Hyuna is known for her sexy concepts which really broke the korean standards back in the day. for her i reccomend either How's This, Roll Deep, or Lip and Hip. keep up with the good reactions!

GFriend is consider the underdog in the kpop scene as they are from the very small company but they had won 29 trophies on music shows in 2016 breaking the record in 6 years since 2010 that set the record by Girl's Generation one of the titan girl group in kpop which is incredible. In korea, the people give them an nickname GodFriend even the local variety show programs acknowledge it and they are consider to be a group that stand out with their powerful innocent concept, very synchronized choreography and keeping the old school original kpop sounding alive...
