My Godmother gave over half of her lifetime income to Benny Hinn, Jim Baker, Kenneth Copeland, trying to sow good seeds for Jesus and the Gospel… she lost so much in all she gave, and never recovered from it emotionally, although Jesus never let her go, and she never lost her faith… it was never about the money for her, but when they all turned out to be liars and cheats, it broke her heart, and her giving heart did not deserve that. These men need to realize these people Pastor Mike is talking about are very real, and they matter…
I knew a family here who loved all these TBN preachers. Sent every dime they had extra to them. Guess what? They still live in a house in the mountains with no running water and an outhouse.

When I was praying for my husbands salvation he watched Benny I had no idea he was watching him and he said if I have pay 1000$ for God to except me then forget it . Benny pushed him away from God , that was a few years ago , but thank God ! Jesus still worked thru the deceptive practices of those who gain say the Bible, and He is now truly saved thru truth of Gods word , and not those who pedal the gospel for gain. All glory to Jesus Christ !
When I met my husband 40 years ago, he thought the television evangelists like Benny Hinn were the face of Christianity. It took me 9 years of praying daily over his pillow after after he left for work (don’t laugh, I was a young wife 😂) and finally a friend he played basketball with invited him to play on a church league from a sound church. One morning, he said “hey, you wanna go with me to Joe’s church and out to lunch after? He and his wife will meet us outside and sit with us.” Long story short, my sweet hubby was baptized a month later. We’ve raised 5 children in the Lord now and are grandparents to little ones being raised in the Lord! From atheism and drugs and alcohol to Christ!! Praise the Lord for men’s leagues and sound churches. 🙏❤️

The acronym is DARVO. I dealt with it a lot in my law enforcement career.

If a prophetic word “doesn’t come to pass” then the Lord says to ignore, not just the prophecy, but the person themselves.
That word “fear” also carries the connotation of respect and reverence, as in “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom”. So we shouldn’t fear or respect someone who gives false prophecy

I came across Mikes channel when I was a new believer 3 years ago and I’ve never looked back. His teaching are very well researched and detailed. I believe you will be blessed getting to know the words all over again.
Truly, God is exposing abusive religious leaders all over, especially the past year. When I had to flee my "church" of over 10 years I was asking God: "Where is spiritual abuse in the scripture?" Oh how He has continued to show me. I didn't realize that half of Jesus' ministry was rebuking spiritually abusive leadership with "Woe" and warning His sheep with "Beware". Read Jeremiah 23:1-4.
I did "security" for Benny Hinn at an event in Sydney some 20 odd years ago. That was eye opening and I wouldn't say in a good way.

@@curtainwal17 There were 2 main red flags, first were the body guards he had who in basic terms threatened the volunteer security to make sure we did our job properly, or "they would step in!". The second was a warning from this team to stop anyone that rushed the stage because we were "nicer" than them! We would deal with them gentler than them. The smallest guy on his team was 6'4 or 5 and probably 130kg of solid muscle. And they weren't Ausralian so they travellled with him.
"i cheated on my spouse. No one is perfect. Maybe I'll do it again" isn't real repentance. It's not surrender to truth. He is to be pitied and prayed for before he dies and has to meet the Lord

That mentality of having a "religious spirit" was a phrase used against me by my ex-fiancée 2 years ago when she was following these exact teachings, some from Benny himself. She said something to me one day which led to the end of the relationship, which was something like "If you don't understand the scripture, stop reading it and just worship and it'll make sense later." Basically admitting that scripture doesn't align with the teachings, but ignoring it and just listening to the teachers. It's absolutely an effective tactic used by wolves in sheep's clothing to make the masses fight for you under the guise of a "religious spirit." Keep fighting the good fight brother, there are so many victims to these kinds of teachers.

@@lilacicecream yes because this mentality led to wanting to abandon our life to move across the country to be under the mentorship of a Benny Hinn-adjacent teacher (Mr. Citronnelli, which Mike already made a video about), spend every last dollar we had "sowing" into the ministry so we can reap rewards later (they never came btw, still paying off debt from it), and veering heavily into new age theology with "speaking things into existence" and "commanding the winds to blow things our way." Very unhealthy relationship which I'm grateful God pulled me out from.
Yup, common things I've noticed is that people who listen to them say "forget theology" because these preachers mock theology because if you want to twist the Bible to mean something else, you've got to tell people not to look at the obvious. And read more into it.. they'll think you're still a Bible believing preacher

Saul was, yet lived like a wretch towards David. I see your arguement, but the phase holds true to David's heart and the Lord's anointing. Above all, you don't know the contents of the man's heart - let alone the lords anointing. Just a minor thought, not a rebuke.

Later, Saul and his men are "put under a deep sleep from the lord" and David's men try to convince him to kill Saul, since God so clearly has given him over into his hand. David refuses. David was a man after God's own heart - are you so quick to show love? In not defending Benny, I have no good opinions on the man - but I have strong thoughts about rebuking, and this anointed and not anointed arguement never belongs. Don't be so quick to judge if Benny is or isn't genuine, pray for him.
Why are we looking to OT passages about the Lord’s anointed? Paul confronted Peter publicly (Galatians 2:11-21). And he put it in WRITING! How is that not ‘touching God’s anointed’? 🤷♂️
Typically, if people substantiate things using Old Testament scripture but can’t corroborate it using the New Testament, I wonder if there is some legalism lurking there.

David's heart in that moment was pure, that's my point. I'm challenged this anointed debate that I hear frequently. Benny is a fool for saying the things he's said. But equally foolish are those who demand others repentance to 'look perfect' before accepting it. We don't genuinely know Benny's heart. He isn't a man I long to emulate, but neither are the people who say "this person isn't anointed". The story of Saul and David is literally about this topic, and should be considered and not immediately thrown out. For evidence in the new testament, Jesus pointed to a Samaritan as a testimony. A man considered by the religious jews to be beyond saving, but by his actions was considered righteous. A parable challenging the contemporary idea of anointing and God's pleasure in men. Benny isn't such a man as the Samaritan, but to say he isn't anointed is not your place. I don't say that he is or isn't. Flippancy is not virtue.
If Benny was truly repentant he would give all that money back. Let's see Luke 19 in action 'If I have cheated anyone out of anything, I will pay it back. I will pay it back four times the amount I took.'

The worst thing is people who are sick, cause you aren't thinking clearly. When I was so sick in the pandemic, I almost fell for a scam that was really quite obvious. My mind was cotton. This is one of my biggest "headaches". People would rather be loyal to a man than be loyal to God. They would do anything to serve and defend a "man of God" even when that individual is in the wrong. I realised that there's a heavy dose of manipulation involved, which is a form of witchcraft.

I also wanted to tell you your exposure of Hinn has had so much more impact on my life than I thought it could. I’m reviewing my history of faith and the charismatic movement. It’s a lot, and it’s good. I am surprised because I never paid much attention to Hinn. But it does have huge implications! I’m finally looking at Bethel and a lot of other related ministers, as well as ihop with fresh eyes. I’m looking at William Branham, Copeland, Oral Roberts. I’m just learning a lot. Your video caused a chain reaction. It’s pretty cool. 🎉
Leave the movement sister...we have charlatans here in Australia too...most are failed business men and they run their 'show' like a business...use business terminology instead of biblical...If leaders aren't referred to as Elders and Deacons and there isn't a genuine plurality in the leadership, run hard...it's just the tip of the iceberg...

I had no idea about Benny Hinn before your video. In the past I used to believe everything that was told me because they were a "preacher". Somehow makes the the holy grail when they are not.
My church at that time supported Benny Hinn.We went to see him in 98 and I never questioned it. Many Christians are like this believing because their pastor said so. and it's not a good thing. We should be taking what is being taught in any church even the ones who really teach the Bible. Test the spirits.

Benny Hinn 'repented' a couple of years ago. Within weeks of 'repenting' he landed in Nigeria and did a cash grab with another false teacher from Nigeria Chris Oyakhilome. I agree with Mike here, this latest repentance is damage control.

Most church leaders in Nigeria are little Benny Hinns, "little" cos they haven't made money yet but they're still promising health and wealth as the main reason God came down in the flesh and that holiness is a means to financial gain. Your analogy of seeing through one eye is accurate. I was blind in one eye for 6 months and began recovering my sight. What I realized is how my perception of normal surroundings had shifted. Now with two eyes again, there's a difference. Thank God that you used that analogy.
I’d be concerned with the editing Charisma Magazine might do before posting the video with Mike.
A. That they would edit out anything Mike says that discredits BH and/or warns believers to beware.
B. That they would edit Mike’s comments in a way that makes it seem like he said things he didn’t.
Mike would need to have an agreement where he can post all the footage unedited on his channel.

Benny Hinn cannot repay restitution because he doesn’t have any money left. That’s probably why he turned back after the 2019 so called repentance is because his lifestyle and image won’t allow him to live a humble and lowly life. The his flesh is calling for more money and to make sure his image is intact. It takes a lot to truly repent and not worry how you look. It is humbling. Thank Pastor Mike, I enjoy your teachings.
Thank you, this whole process is so edifying for me and my family. I can't tell you how many times we have prayed and really wanted to help someone and we are called names espically a religious spirit and I started thinking I got Christianity wrong that maybe I don't know the scriptures but this has been so helpful.

A couple of years ago I read about Benny Hinn and how awful he was. I got the impression he had died and that all of this came out afterwards. When I realized he's still alive then giving shows, I have to confess that I was disappointed.

Thank you Mike for staying put and not buckling to the mounting resistance against you. It's clear that your thoroughly reasoned and researched video on Benny Hinn was welded in step with scripture. You weren't just reasonable, you provided an abundance of evidence for your claims, so contextualized and fairly laid out, with buffers on either side of the clips that it would be wholly unreasonable to bring any criticism other than at the point itself... The only thing is that you would have to deny or bend scripture to deny what you laid out. Even still, you gave gracious critique and emphasized room for alternative interpretations, and the importance of the viewer reaching their own scripturally guided conclusions. You provided a way out for Hinn, and yet, through all of the grace you showed, Hinn has seemingly (from what you laid out in this video) took that grace and used it as a headwind to run from his mistakes, rather than run to the father.
I've just started trying to read the bible properly, many thanks to you and this stands out to me, forgive me I know it's not quite the right context for this but Mathew 21 v33-42, notably 43-46 I pray this brings you hope. Although Hinn has tried to take your content down, and others seek to defame you, they recognise they can only go so far without raising a crowd against them, so they have to resort to these tactics because they cannot hold anything to your criticisms head-on. Jesus says this directed at the Pharisees (perhaps we can substitute false teachers here) “43 "Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit. 44 Anyone who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; anyone on whom it falls will be crushed.” 45 When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard Jesus’ parables, they knew he was talking about them. 46 They looked for a way to arrest him, but they were afraid of the crowd because the people held that he was a prophet."
Again, this is perhaps an overstep on my part to link the situations, but it is eerily similar at the very least. We should remember as you have pointed out, to continue to seek and guide their return and repentance, but to be as wise as serpents and innocent as doves as we do so. I pray they turn from their ways, or that they pray for God to help them want to do that if they can't manage yet, then pray for God's help to turn from their ways and see it through, embracing the outstretched arm from the body of Christ along this, their narrow path and trial. With God, all things are possible. They may yet turn back.
I could say more but I'll leave it at this, thank you, Mike, your exploration of scripture has been a great blessing in my life. You have helped me allow myself to enjoy scripture even though the act of reading or concentrating on it at all is complex torment, it has brought light into my life. I have especially appreciated the way you humbly approach hard and unpopular topics in the bible. You clearly care so deeply, and your character brims forth resoundingly in all your videos, even in sickness and trials, concealed or otherwise, what a service you have given to the body of Christ.

Good stuff Mike; good stuff. I am so happy this is blowing up; because we need to root this people out. It is up to our generation to completely clean house with false prophets; divisions where divisions ought not be; so that our children (talking Gen-Z and Gen Alphas children) need only preach the Gospel and people don’t have to worry about what church they are going to; because ALL churches have the same basic Gospel.

Benny Hinn has always been a phoney. I found that out back in the 90's when I volunteered to be in a choir for his convention in Philly.
LOL He stopped in the middle of the "show" and said "SHHHHHHH, SHHHHHHH the Holy Spirit is talking"
Of course the Holy Spirit was telling us all to donate money for a private jet for Benny.
THEN he did the exact same thing when he showed up in Baltimore Maryland.😂

I was dubious of his ministry when I first noticed his show on TV around 2000.
God gave them up to their delusions! I believe it's also a judgement to those who follow them bec. they don't like to be Bereans but like theirs to be tickled by these heretics!

I saw him back late 70s it early 80s in Houston/Pasadena area. I don't buy into that stuff any more.
