This was set up in the first film that is a flaw in FK not Dominion but it did make for sort of better storytelling

I was sorta fine with Dodgson being the main villain on paper. When you think about it, he was technically the main factor that destroyed Jurassic Park and led to all this happening. However, what I didn't like was that it made it in execution. There was no mention of him at all or even an appearance in the previous movies that could've helped strengthen this better.
He at least was better than the villian in fallen kingdom, not the indoraptor, the guy hosting the sale of the dinos, all he wanted was money, literally nothing else
The villains in jurassic Park are modeled after the directors apparently. Greedy people who do stupid stuff for more money. Jurassic park could have been something beautiful and magical but was destroyed by greedy people. The director of this movie could have made something good and inspiring but instead was like "nah, let's just release the dinos again. Who cares about plot and originality? Ill escape with bags of money and leave the audience with the horror I created on screen!"
@@purgeblue I mean, yeah, but imagine if he was the villain behind it all and was given a lot of sinister buildup like Dr. Wu had. Seeing that in the last few movies might've strengthened his role a bit better, as well as BioSyn's. That's just me though.

As someone who's more of a casual Jurassic Park fan i've grown to care less and less about the World movies. Everyone's aloud to like whatever they want but gatekeeping and harrassment is not the way to go. Also nice to see you watched Prehistoric Planet too! It definitely deserves a lot more attention than its currently getting.

The Maisie twist was bullshit because it destroyed any connection she had to the dinosaurs. In the second movie, both of them were made from the desires of old men - one to give people something real, another because he couldn’t handle his grief. Lockwood and Hammond’s whole falling out was due to the extent of what people would do with this kind of technology for their own gain rather than that of others.
I thought the movie was ok but I can see why you don't like. It's a shame that people get so defensive over this franchise just because not everyone likes it. and this is coming from someone who is a fan of the franchise. But at the end of the day it's all taste and I'm sorry you have to deal with stalkers like that. Great video and yes I agree the giganotosaurus had a bad ass design👍

Pacing, direction and storytelling. Everything missing from Dominion and pretty much 90% of modern blockbusters. Let it go extinct, that way we can look to fresh ideas and concepts. And better films overall.
Ngl, I was disappointed that THIS was the Jurassic World conclusion. I adore all of these movies, yes even JP3, but this, is just another 2022 movie that disappointed me.
@@KyleBruhVloski to be honest, I never was fond of the JW trilogy. Found them a bit too cartoony. Miss the authenticity of the original trilogy. Shame they never carried on with JP4. Set it back on Isla Nublar with a group of animal rights activists trying to save the dinosaurs from Dinosaur smugglers.

Personally, I had a fun time with the film. Was it perfect? No, but it was great to see all the cast members return and interacting with the new cast, all the dinosaur scenes slapped hard for me, some of the throwbacks to the previous films had me smiling and it was great to see a movie in theaters again in spite of the pandemic. Sorry if this sounds I'm going off course a bit, but on a sidenote, the last movie I saw in theaters was Rise of Skywalker. After witnessing that boredom, all I personally wanted was just to watch something entertaining for once, something that's not too real or depressing or politically driven like the 5th film was, just something to make me smile. Plus, I bet a lot of Jurassic Park 3 haters would love that one interaction with Grant and Settler, but I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it. I will definitely agree with you on the villain. Even I thought he wasn't that much of a threat, but at least he gets killed in the end, even if it rehashes Dennis Nedry's death in the first movie.
Also, I agree that Beta is the skootabooshiest of all the skootabooshes for the most part.
One last dinosaur media I think you might be excited for is the 2nd season of Primal coming out next month. How great is that?

i was really disappointed with this movie.. I loved Jurassic Park as a kid and i still do to this day. I liked Jurassic World too, but it wasn't that special to me. I decided to watch Dominion anyways, because i love dinosaurs and the franchise! The trailers, the website with the dino tracker thingy, etc ... everything was looking amazing and i got so hyped. I mean - Dinosaurs and humans have to deal with each other. Imagine the possibilities! It made me really mad that this topic was just part of the movie for the first 3-5 minutes. So i thought maybe it gets better, but it felt like its just getting worse and worse. I think its fine to explain the story of Maisie, but why not do it in a seperate movie? Same with the locusts - like.. Who the hell came up with that idea? They teased with all that cool stuff like "omg guys look, theres dinosaurs living with us." but the whole movie was just about maisie and those weird locusts. Even the "star" about the movie 'Giganotosaurus' wasn't that special. You barely saw it and there was not really a purpose for it to atually be in the movie imo (ig the only purpose was so everyone can say "omg, this is the biggest and scariest dinosaur of all time! And its here!!" - like they did in every other movie). Everything felt more like... thrown together?
It was nice to see all the old cast members and it filled me with nostalgia, but it didn't save the movie for me.
I personally think the movie wasn't a complete disaster - but it wasn't good either and i definitely won't watch it again. Im not a hater or anything, im just really sad and kind of upset to see this franchise end with such a bad movie!

Since you know what happened regarding events, I want to share with you all something that I did.
Once I was actually a toxic fan, or at least borderline, on someone’s fanfic because of a plot line I didn’t like. It got to the point I would complain every chapter and even PM’d them to tell me everything. They said that I had no right to do that and that the conversation was closed.
That’s when I learned that when you screw up badly, OWN IT. Take responsibility, accept that you F’ed up, and don’t try to backtrack yourself with excuses or deleting comments.
Your words just came right out of my mouth. While I did like the original movies I don't think it should've continued its franchise. I understand people love Jurassic Park but when it has a point of ending the franchise with a message that Crichton was trying to say in his novels, it had to end with just two movies instead of six.
This movie was crap. The whole Jurassic World trilogy did nothing to make me interested in dinosaurs. They took the simple success Jurassic Park established and threw it down the toilet. When the cast starts acting like caricatures instead of normal human adults and the dinosaurs start acting like Pokemon or something out of Marvel Universe you know there's a problem.
The original 1993 film was a classic and it should stay that way

It says a lot when Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio became my most anticipated (and favorite) movie of 2022 than one with dinosaurs in it.
If I had a nickel for every time the worst installment in a property was named "Dominion", I'd have two nickels (Skillet and Jurassic Park). Which isn't a lot, but, it's weird that it only happened twice, right?
I love how before the film came out they said that the Giganotosaurus was gonna be like the Joker but in the Actual movie it just behaves like a regular dinosaur XD.

17:52 well technically as of right now, it was slightly developed in the last 2 episodes of CC season 3 where Brooklyn I guess made Wu feel a bit bad for what he's done and how he doesn't really care about the dinos, problem is that takes place right after the prologue of Fallen Kingdom which takes place 6 months after JW and 2 and a half years before Fallen kingdom's main events (yes you only learn the timeline of the events not in the film but in the show released years later, great writing) so it doesn't make sense. why? because during the events of Fallen kingdom, so after he felt a shred of sympathy in the show, he goes back to a greedy uncaring asshole so it just contradicts itself. sorry about the tangent but yea.

The original though not perfect is one of my favourites, it's what got me into dinosaurs, and despite the first two sequels being bad, they were at least to an extent enjoyable. And to give jurassic world a little credit it did have a interesting concept with hybrid dinosaurs
But after that the series just went up in flames, they hardly did anything with the hybrid idea as well as humans living with dinosaurs, the characters are boring and bland as tofu, the story got more and more stupid, but the worst part is that the series like star wars became soulless, only continuing for money and loss what made the original iconic
The movie is fine. In terms of story a lot of it actually feels in line with the original movie, it honestly feels like everyone wanted just a silly Dino movie and is mad it actually has more sci fi.
I'd rather watch Star Wars.

The Lost World Jurassic Park is easily the best jurassic park sequel!

When I went to see this movie in theaters I wasn’t expecting anything great though even the dinosaurs were still kind of lacking despite the great cgi though I like the idea of mixing animatronics and cgi with some of the dinosaurs though the other stuff was shit. Which is disappointing because the idea of dinosaurs living in modern day humanity is such a potentially good idea though they wasted it
Given how you describe it, at this point, I think a Denver the Last Dinosaur reboot written by Uwe Boll might be more plausible.

I would rather rewatch Jurassic Park 3 and Jurassic Park 2 any day of the week, month or year on repeat than ever rewatching any of the Jurassic World films.

If there is one thing that I can say about Jurassic Park's franchise as a whole, it is that Universal loves banking on Dinosaurs no matter what anyone cares about if the strategy of banking in on Dinosaur films works or if it backfires for them.
Duuuuude, the way Dodgson dies in the second book is awesome. Ellie basically kicks him out from under one of the JP vehicles and nearly directly into the jaws of a rex lmao this movie ruined his death so hardcore. This second collective part of the series did the whole thing dirty.
Also, Nedry has such an epic death in the first book. He dies by a dilo too, but the thing acids his eyes right away, disembowels him when he can't see, lifts him up off the ground, and bites off his head. The dilos in the book were full size and menacing

I remember me and my family watched this.
My mom fell asleep my siblings were... All over the place and I tuned out. All I remember is when blue first showed up, the pit battle or whatever that was, the chase scene with the helicopter and the tower at the end.
The movie felt like a michael bay movie where they exchange explosions for dinosaurs.
Of which they knew that the story was so bad that they tried to fill the film with nostalgia.
If anything this movie made jurassic park 2-3 seem like a classic, a bit like how Star wars ep 7-8-9 Made people say that ep 1-2-3 was really good.
I'd rather watch the Star Wars Sequel trilogy.

Due to Jar Jar in ep 1, political elements in ep 2, and due to how forced the romance feelt in regard to Anakin.
These negatives got a new push by NC Review when he did bash the trilogy.
But after ep 7-8-9, people started to change their judgment around 1-2-3.

I was honestly really hoping for the focus to be dinosaurs learning to coexist with humans and especially the affects they would have on the wildlife, but no, instead these giant locusts are the plot and now the dinosaurs are back in an enclosed space with no humans where they can’t go anywhere beyond the borders or do anything much really, which is what has happened in EVERY OTHER FILM. And we only get dinosaurs living with humans in that one location? That’s it? We get even less about dinosaurs coexisting with the wildlife, we only saw it in the beginning for a couple seconds and the end for a couple seconds, and that’s it. I still think it’s a lot better than fallen kingdom but it’s still far from the best film
I couldn't stand Fallen Kingdom, it honestly is one of the worst excuses for a triple A blockbuster sequel I've seen in the past ten years and one of the most miserable theater experiences I've ever had, It makes Lost World & JP3 look like the original Jurassic Park so I'm not even gonna even bother with Dominion. Also my god, fuck that four-eyed frog.
I agree. Movie was crap. Too many main characters the locus story line was crap. I wish they brought ian, allen and ellie back in the earlier movies. My partner however said it was good. Im glad im not the only one who thought it was crap.

So, I watched the movie this morning for this review.
Aaaaaaaaand, I liked it fine. But that’s really just it, it was fine. Honestly, I’m pretty sure this is more just due to me loving dinosaurs so much I really was only in it for the E2 DLC, and even that’s slightly disappointing despite all they did.
One thing I’d like to bring up that wasn’t, or at least not enough for a moron like me to notice, is the fact the main dinosaur problem is “solved” off screen. People just have to coexist with them……………………………………………………….. THIS ISN’T MY RETOLD FANFIC WHERE DINOSAURS WERE ON PAR WITH HUMANS ON INTELLIGENCE! THESE ARE WILD ANIMALS THAT FRANKLY SHOULD BE JUST AS BAD AS LOCUSTS. How much do you think a Dreadnoughtus eats, probably fields worths of crops.
It’s one thing if a movie didn’t give me what I wanted. It’s another when it basically doesn’t give what it was advertising. You had dinosaurs in the streets eating people, a pterosaur big enough to attack planes, swimming raptors, and the most bada## herbivore in the entire series, but instead the entire conflict is about locusts. I don’t care about the locusts. None of their scenes were cool or worth remembering.
It also made the climax, a poor man’s version of World’s climax, feel unearned. We barely get anything with the Giga.
It’s at this moment, I’m glad I grew up with Dinosaur King and Walking With Dinosaurs. The former introduced me to several species and inspired me to write a Fanfic I am proud of to this day (and is not cancelled) and the layers showed what real dinosaurs were like.
Now, excuse me while I watch Prehistoric Planet for the umpteenth time.

The villain’s death was freaking predictable and cliche.
As a long time Jurassic park fan, especially of the books, I was SO excited to have Biosyn and Dogeson finally in the ring and…… sigh…. Yeah. Like most of this flick, he was severely- actually overplayed? Like. He was literally “I’m gonna literally kill the world because MONEH”…. I was so disappointed.
The feather Dino pandering was obvious that they were literally making these movies to appeal to…. Gripers. Like honestly, that’s been a constant in virtually every JP video ever “ wHeRe ArE tHe fEaThErZ??” Despite clear MOVIE dialogue since Jurassic Park 93 stating why they don’t in favor of being scientifically accurate and completely waylay it’s own world building. They aren’t supposed to IN THIS SERIES because of how they were made.
Seriously, the feathered Dino’s only blipped up for literally a combined 5 min tops just to say “hey look! We did the thing!”
Then it was Dino fan service for the rest.
They look cool admittedly, but served absolutely nothing to the plot that was starving to death the whole time. I will watch only because the animals look cool- but definitely this is the worst film of them all. Sad considering how much longer they had to work with after the pandemic hit…like. Guys? You got a freebie to extend the script and…. Did nothing but slap more feathery coating to make the skeleton look better….
As a longtime fan of JP…. This movie really fell flat. Camp Cretaceous actually did far better than this movie.
Fallen Kingdom and Dominion were actual trash. Both movies lack any actual direction or purpose.

Like this movie could’ve been something if it instead ya know… it focused on dinosaurs on earth! Why not focus on them being an invasive species, the United Nations getting involved and calling a vote of wether they should be eradicated, etc. Unlike Star Wars Episode 9 there was actual potential and they wasted it. It just makes me wonder narrative wise what the hell was the point of the World films.
Fun fact Dodgson appeared in two books written by Michael Crichton. In the Lost World he's the actual antagonist and he tried to steal Dino eggs. At the near end of the book Dodgson dies being eaten by a family of T-Rex in the nest. Now that I see him in dominion feels weird because he was supposed to be killed off in the Lost World.

yeh.....I was also expecting more from dominion..... They Hyped giga so badly even had the audacity to compare it with joker and i still doesn't know how it became the antagonist....it was like every other fkng dinosaur which attacked humans for no reason and don't even get me started with the epic 65 million year old rivalry .... that was disappointing...Pyroraptor came out just rand and does random shit.... there was too much stuff and yet there was a whole load of stuff lacking in it.... at the end in my personal opinion ....it was just meh

I stopped watching this franchise after the first JW... Though yes, Camp Cretaceous was good... Though due to having the first 5 on a Blu-Ray pack together as that was all I could find due to having the JP trilogy on VHS so wanted to upgrade, now my OCD for this stuff will hit me when this comes out to buy

I myself havent seen Jurassic world Dominian yet but i can tell its a decent film, not good, not bad, just middle of the bunch. I did hear the plot, its weird but i hope the movie explains the plot better then what i heard from others. As for the ending, im happy that we got, especially rexys final moment

Man I wanted this movie to be about the ramifications of dinosaurs being involved in actual fucken society! Maybe touch on the clone shit a little bit I was kinda interested in that, but noOoOOOo.
They turned alan grant's character into a total simp that pines over an ex from 30 yrs ago. In the first film he was a total chad and paid no attention to malcolm flirting with ellie. In this film he gets all bent out of shape over malcolm holding her hand. So bloody pathetic.
I'm honestly really sad the series ended how it did, because I'm probably one of the biggest Jpark and Jworld fan

I went to see it Thursday. And... it was just ok. If the original characters like Grant and Malcolm weren't in it, I probably would've straight up hated it. But overall, it wasn't as bad as I anticipated.
I just hope they leave the series alone after that. None of the sequels have been good, let alone even close to topping the original masterpiece.
I know this would not have saved the triology as a whole, but hear me out. What they should have done was build Dodgson up like Thanos. If you introduce this guy as the main driving force of this new set of movies, maybe get a post-credit scene in the first movie where he hears about Jurassic World’s closure, and he gets Eli to gather the dinosaurs from Isla Nublar. Then, in Fallen Kingdom once he hears about the dinosaurs loose in California he gets one of his lackeys to set plans for the future. It would not have salvaged Dominion’s WORLD DOMINATION story but I just wanted to give my two cents into this.
Btw that WORLD DOMINATION emphasis was meant to be a reference to Fairly Odd Parents with the cockroach.
This movie along with the Loud House didn’t surprise me. Money over effort just breaks all expectations and lore of world buildings. To be real, fandoms do have hope and passion in some aspects but franchises like this are bound to take the inevitable direction. If you wanna why I mentioned Loud House is because I started watching at the end of last year and after watching all the episodes, my opinions are the same as this film. And yet I can’t be furious due to the empty lifelessness of what happens behind the scenes.

I just couldn't stand how much the JW franchise rehashes so many things from itself between its own movies. Like this movie felt like a msh up of the first 2 movies done over again, even with the Giganatosaurus fight pretty much being recycled from the first Indominus Rex fight. Or how much they get predictable. With the flare distraction thing to get the dinosaurs to fight each other.
I was interesting in seeing this movie but I looked at the critic reviews on Rotten tomatoes. I’m just not sure, I think I’d rather watch Top Gun Maverick.

I like the movie, but it does feel weird, particularly with the editing in the first act. The second act, while entertaining, felt more like a cop movie than a JP movie. The thrid act, I will say, is the best part!
But you do have some points that I agree with. So...nice review! Also, harrasement is a no-go, but we should know that already.

I love Raya And The Last Dragon. It is one of my favourite Disney movies. It made me shed tears, so in my book it must have been doing something right. And Sisu is genuinely one of the best characters I've ever seen. But so help me, if I ever become so sad and idiotic to harass you for not liking that movie and especially that character, just shoot me. Sure, it tends to be hurtful hearing people say that the message sucks and Sisu is annoying, and it gets tiring seeing people act like Awkwafina burnt down an orphanage, but I always put my frustrations aside and hear people out, respecting their opinion on a piece of fiction. If anything, I've started to reconsider if that movie actually is as good as I initially thought. I mean who knows, I might have to watch it again. But anyway, the point I'm trying to make is, people who go this out of their way to make it known that they don't agree with you is simply tragic. You, Raisore, just keep speaking your mind because your opinion matters. You're a professional, and I will support you no matter what.
