Look Robots actually deserves a sequel, and the world is good enough to sustain more content. Ice Age was fun FOR A WHILE. But damn they really gave a team of like 5 animators the task to make anything Ice Age related with the least amount of money necessary.
What made them think Buck couldn't hold a movie on his own? Out of all the characters they've created Buck is the only one consistently entertaining to be able to hold an entire show by himself.

They seriously could've done a how retelling of when he first made it to the land of the Dinosaurs and what the beginning of his and Rudy's Relationship. Hell if you wanted a comedy arc you could have him and his wife meeting!

If they wanted that to be the case, they should have kept the idea of a “smarter” dinosaur in mind but made them more threatening. It could have been a bigger dinosaur that could rival Rudy by intelligence to give an excuse for him to be “beaten” at least
My brother actually wanted a movie with the characters going back to dino-world when he was a child. But probably not this way. I as a kid wanted the baby to come back as older, although now that I myself am older, I am not that dissapointed it didn't happened, and if it ends up happening for some reason, I hope they actually write a decent story around it.
I had some thoughts about the gang going all back to the Dino-world when I was 10 years old Watching DotD but after a few more Ice age sequels BlueSky Quallity declining that is just a pipe dream... And it's still a pipe dream because I will never accept this pile of shit as an Ice Age film, the choppy animation to the unfinished models alone pissed me off more than ever. Worst that the OG film that came out in fucking 2002, fucking hell *20 YEARS AGO!?* Disney don't give a shit anymore and it shows. I honestly think it would be better off if they didn’t focus on the main ice age cast since this was declared a spin off about Buck I personally think they should have centered more on Buck, brought back the old dinos as reoccurring characters(the dino bird family, Rudy, Momma Rex?) and maybe change the villain? I don’t personally like Orson as a villain because sure he seemed threatening, but not too threatening to leave an impression like Cretaceous and Malestrom from IA 2 and Rudy, especially Rudy I would have loved a movie centered ONLY on Buck. And if they want to add a new character, go for it. But I feel like it would be less “difficult” on Disney to lessen some characters to really focus on Buck himself I think Blue Sky would have done an at least decent job in another ice age movie(or series because this movie was supposed to be a series). Other than that the visuals look just… augh…(bad augh)
The only Ice Age movies that left me with something are Ice Age 1 & 3. The rest (Ice Age 2 to the least extent because it did come before Ice Age 3 and after that, the franchise because more and more of a zombie franchise from the mid 2010s with Ice Age 4, late 2010s with Ice Age 5 (and The Great Eggs-capade and nowadays in the early 2020s, Ice Age 6) I feel like they were cash grabs that were made for Blue Sky to be best known for Ice Age if nothing else… and then to make matters much worse, of course Disney would kill BS like a bigoted white Englishman/Southerner would brutally murder his slaves of colour and (only one) gender (which would have to be female even when they are white).

Dude i love the Ice age franchise, it's like the second thing that inspired me to become an animator next to SpongeBob SquarePants, but having it continue is a bad idea. Another thing, screw Disney for shutdown Blue Sky and having the nerve to continue the ice age franchise without it.

What inspired me to be an animator the most along with stop-motion (Aardman, LAIKA/Will Vinton Studios/Wes Anderson), Walt Disney Animation Studios and anime movies (by Studio Ghibli, Satoshi Kon & Mamoru Hosada) are video games like the Pac-Man World games (except for Pac-Man World 1 & (to a far lesser extent) 2 for the GBA, Pac-Man World 3 (especially for handheld consoles). No offence to the people that like these games.). And as overpraised as I find the visuals of Ice Age 2, 4, 5 and the holiday specials to be (I can’t go with 1 because most people are actually aware of its age), even they look visually stunning (if only for the rendering not looking like lifeless clay) compared to Adventures of Buck Wild (aka Ice Age 6) if not in general. Heck, Zee actually COULD have been more attractive had she not been given poor rendering, a selfish personality like Buck, Crash and Eddie (by giving them confession scenes even though they never should have been out of character in the first place, the third act tried way too hard to be good by maki the movie act like it’s sorry for having a weak first act (except for how it started with mammoths that look like they came from a classic 2D cartoon like Babar) and even worse second act).

I’ve had a grudge against Disney during 2022. Here’s why. •The nasty Pinocchio remake. •Shutting down Disney XD (without a proper send off) •Disrespecting Blue Sky after shutting it down. This is not the same Disney that we grew up with. It feels like a completely different entity.
Idk if something is wrong with me, but i don't get it why people like Encanto that much. I had a 4/10 experience watching it (to other movies), other gave it 9.5/10... i would liked to enjoy the movie as much as everyone else did, the same thing happened to me with Luca, like, i'm probably very wrong, i guess...
@@DOGEreal I disagree. While Enchanto isn't my favorite Disney film, I really did enjoy the theme and message it created. I could also relate to the main character and feeling like a black sheep in her family full of people with magical gifts. Raya and the Last Dragon, on the other hand, is a movie that I can't understand why it has a score of 93% and 97% on Rotten Tomatoes. Its theme of trust is completely botched, the pacing is too fast and barely has any time to focus on its world building, the side characters are barely relevant, and dare I even mention that Sisu is voiced by the infamous Awkwafina? Its only saving graces are the visuals, the shrimp boy, and the fight sequences.
The description for this movie on Disney+ literally says *”Thrill-seeking brothers Crash and Eddie join pal Buck Wild to take on dinosaurs of the Lost World.”* That is the most basic plot line I’ve ever read.
Truuueee! They could have made a more threatening villain, show more about how Buck lived in the Lost World through dialogue or simple flashbacks or interactions with other characters to hint how he got here in the first place I have tons of ideas on how this movie could have been handled

Nah,for me the franchise should've ended after the fourth movie,which in my opinion is really good.The fifth is mediocre.The first,second and third are great.But the Ice Age:The Adventure Of Buck Wild Is trash,hell even the series of Scrat Tales had a better animation.
Why give two of the most hated characters, the two poor man's Fred and George, their own movie? The baby? Yes, I could see a movie about him work. Maybe have it be a bit of a setup for Brother Bear, and explaining how totems work, and how his magic powers to talk with animals gave totems their purpose. But, Crash and Eddie? HELL NO! These two ruined Ice Age because of their unnecessary inclusion in the second movie, which Sid would just naturally fill anyway.
I felt like ice age 1,2,3 where really good but 4,5 just added so many characters even without them really being apart of the story at all. I think ice age 3 was my favourite movie was because if they have an emotional scene the characters in it must already have a problem. Example: buck in the third movie only cared about Rudy which at the point Rudy was gone buck was struggling with what to do but when he figures out Rudy is alive he says bye to his friend and goes back.
I honestly want to see what Buck would do if Rudy does die if it were to happen in one of the movies(Rudy is his arch nemesis/frenemy, he lives for the thrill because of Rudy) Will he find the chance to really leave the lost world if given a second chance, or will he still stay and protect the lost world?

I think Rio was pretty good. I also legitimately got really happy when my much younger self first heard of Angry Birds Rio! The excitement payed off too because the game was great!

My goodness this movie is a trainwreck I 100% can tell it was corporate executives that came up with the idea for this movie I feel like a lot of things just don't gel together well. I feel like some producer at Disney through a whole bunch of ideas together and said "Yep this will work"
Not to mention how much of short-tempered douches Crash and Eddie really are. So with that said, I can’t wait until tomorrow when AniMat reviews Ice Age 6 by calling it “Crash and Eddie: The Movie” because it’s a more accurate title than “Adventures of Buck Wild” and considering that even by Ice Age standards, they are his most hated characters that ruined Ice Age, there’s a good chance that AniMat will end up giving this piece of shit a *lower score than a 3/10* considering that nobody likes this movie (and I mean that literally).

Ice Age, Robots, and Peanuts. Those are the three truly good Blue Sky films. I love the idea of the baby coming back; for the very last film of the series. Talking to the animals is stupid, humans aren't allowed to talk Ice Age, that would throw off the audience. If I handled the last film, it would be him rediscovering his animal friends and learn how to coexist with nature for his tribe.
As a child I LOVED the first 3 movies. Always watched it with my late grandpa. When the 4. one came out, I bought it on DVD so we could watch it. I was a bit disapointed, but it was okay. The 5. movie...well. I didn't really like it, but we watched it together so I still had fun watching it. This now? I would propably give it a chance if he was still alive, but yeah. No chance. Although I have to admit that the movie they apperently had planned...I would've watched it. I always loved the baby in the first movie and wanted to see iit again in a later one so bad!! Yeah, it would be stupid to have it be able to talk to animals, but it would've been funny

I mean the movie is fine. But it’s nothing to write home about it’s a mediocre film in my opinion but this point as a fan of all the Ice Age movies except for five The franchise just needs to die at this point because humidity has gone too far and I have no hope for it.
It really says a lot when the biggest fan of The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild thinks that while it’s not horrible, it’s still very subpar (which, come to think of it, because of their lack of impact, is actually a big problem with today’s animations).

As a kid I loved the ice age franchise, So these movies Are very memorable and nostalgic to me. So I was pretty excited for this movie. But I quickly had a frown on my face when I saw the first 20 seconds of the movie. The animation was horrible and looked weird. The voice actors weren’t all to good. The new characters in the movie were not needed or asked for at all. And the storyline Is boring and bland. Like did Disney even care for the quality at all? I guess what I’m trying to say is, Disney definitely ruined ice age for me.

I was legitimately excited for this movie, I loved watching Buck in the third movie and kinda sorta the 5th movie (even I, a complete idiot, couldn't stand 5) and I was excited to see more of the character. Rio was a good movie Blue Sky made. Pretty and colorful animation, likable characters, a cute romance, beautiful backgrounds. It's one of their best :D

I don’t know if it’s just because I grew up with the sequels and I just grew up, but when we hit ice age five I was just like… why is this a thing. Like ice age 4 was alright to me - I still enjoy it, but five ANNOYS ME SO MUCH. I wasn’t even aware of this movie being made - I assumed it was over after the fifth because the writers had finished doing that thing where they match up all the OGs with a love interest 😀 But thank you for saving me time and my sanity - I shall be steering WELL CLEAR of this.
I usually consider Simon Pegg to be the only good part of any horribad movie he's in, but I don't think even Simon Pegg is enough to make any part of this experience enjoyable for me... Also I've been staring at that poster every time it's on the screen. What the hell is Buck's second foot standing on? Is it in the dinosaur's mouth? Is he balancing on one leg? Does he have it awkwardly twisted in a way that realistically would have torn a tendon or broken something? I can't make the physics of this poster make sense!
Ice Age was really good when it was first made and Blue Sky did stretch it a bit but nothing too bad. Disney just didn’t care and stretched the story SO much that it doesn’t even feel like the movie is really Ice Age anymore. What are they gonna do next? Make a sequel of Epic?
When I saw the first trailer for this, I thought to myself “Oh god, this looks terrible!” and when I watched this movie on Disney+, my opinion never changed. The animation is awful, the replacement voice actors sound nothing like the character’s original voices, Scrat is missing in this movie, and Crash and Eddie are still annoying and unlikable as ever. Although I personally loved the main Ice Age movies, I’m done. First Disney murders Blue Sky then digs up the grave and make another Ice Age movie. Comcast is has done the same to How to train your dragon series. No they thankfully didn’t shut down DreamWorks, they created a series that took plays 1000s of years after Hiccup, Toothless and every last character in the series, including Dart (Toothless and the Light Fury’s daughter (the black one with blue eyes and the white nose)) has died.
The only way this could have been good is taking inspiration for the scraped idea, except maybe having the grown baby maybe hunting down the animals, but I'm not a screenwriter and that's as far as that idea goes, and it may be a little to dark, idk.

Look Robots actually deserves a sequel, and the world is good enough to sustain more content. Ice Age was fun FOR A WHILE. But damn they really gave a team of like 5 animators the task to make anything Ice Age related with the least amount of money necessary.

What made them think Buck couldn't hold a movie on his own? Out of all the characters they've created Buck is the only one consistently entertaining to be able to hold an entire show by himself.
Probably for the best. Without any other characters they'd probably just make a painfully unfunny sitcom about him arguing with his pineapple wife for ninety minutes.

My brother actually wanted a movie with the characters going back to dino-world when he was a child. But probably not this way. I as a kid wanted the baby to come back as older, although now that I myself am older, I am not that dissapointed it didn't happened, and if it ends up happening for some reason, I hope they actually write a decent story around it.

I personally think they should have centered more on Buck, brought back the old dinos as reoccurring characters(the dino bird family, Rudy, Momma Rex?) and maybe change the villain? I don’t personally like Orson as a villain because sure he seemed threatening, but not too threatening to leave an impression like Cretaceous and Malestrom from IA 2 and Rudy, especially Rudy
I would have loved a movie centered ONLY on Buck. And if they want to add a new character, go for it. But I feel like it would be less “difficult” on Disney to lessen some characters to really focus on Buck himself

The only Ice Age movies that left me with something are Ice Age 1 & 3. The rest (Ice Age 2 to the least extent because it did come before Ice Age 3 and after that, the franchise because more and more of a zombie franchise from the mid 2010s with Ice Age 4, late 2010s with Ice Age 5 (and The Great Eggs-capade and nowadays in the early 2020s, Ice Age 6) I feel like they were cash grabs that were made for Blue Sky to be best known for Ice Age if nothing else… and then to make matters much worse, of course Disney would kill BS like a bigoted white Englishman/Southerner would brutally murder his slaves of colour and (only one) gender (which would have to be female even when they are white).

What inspired me to be an animator the most along with stop-motion (Aardman, LAIKA/Will Vinton Studios/Wes Anderson), Walt Disney Animation Studios and anime movies (by Studio Ghibli, Satoshi Kon & Mamoru Hosada) are video games like the Pac-Man World games (except for Pac-Man World 1 & (to a far lesser extent) 2 for the GBA, Pac-Man World 3 (especially for handheld consoles). No offence to the people that like these games.).
And as overpraised as I find the visuals of Ice Age 2, 4, 5 and the holiday specials to be (I can’t go with 1 because most people are actually aware of its age), even they look visually stunning (if only for the rendering not looking like lifeless clay) compared to Adventures of Buck Wild (aka Ice Age 6) if not in general. Heck, Zee actually COULD have been more attractive had she not been given poor rendering, a selfish personality like Buck, Crash and Eddie (by giving them confession scenes even though they never should have been out of character in the first place, the third act tried way too hard to be good by maki the movie act like it’s sorry for having a weak first act (except for how it started with mammoths that look like they came from a classic 2D cartoon like Babar) and even worse second act).

I disagree. While Enchanto isn't my favorite Disney film, I really did enjoy the theme and message it created. I could also relate to the main character and feeling like a black sheep in her family full of people with magical gifts.
Raya and the Last Dragon, on the other hand, is a movie that I can't understand why it has a score of 93% and 97% on Rotten Tomatoes. Its theme of trust is completely botched, the pacing is too fast and barely has any time to focus on its world building, the side characters are barely relevant, and dare I even mention that Sisu is voiced by the infamous Awkwafina? Its only saving graces are the visuals, the shrimp boy, and the fight sequences.

Honestly, I do like most of Blue Sky's films (Horton, Robots, Peanuts, etc.) But the Ice Age movies should've ended after the third one in my opinion.

Why give two of the most hated characters, the two poor man's Fred and George, their own movie? The baby? Yes, I could see a movie about him work. Maybe have it be a bit of a setup for Brother Bear, and explaining how totems work, and how his magic powers to talk with animals gave totems their purpose. But, Crash and Eddie? HELL NO! These two ruined Ice Age because of their unnecessary inclusion in the second movie, which Sid would just naturally fill anyway.

I felt like ice age 1,2,3 where really good but 4,5 just added so many characters even without them really being apart of the story at all. I think ice age 3 was my favourite movie was because if they have an emotional scene the characters in it must already have a problem. Example: buck in the third movie only cared about Rudy which at the point Rudy was gone buck was struggling with what to do but when he figures out Rudy is alive he says bye to his friend and goes back.
I honestly want to see what Buck would do if Rudy does die if it were to happen in one of the movies(Rudy is his arch nemesis/frenemy, he lives for the thrill because of Rudy)

Not to mention how much of short-tempered douches Crash and Eddie really are. So with that said, I can’t wait until tomorrow when AniMat reviews Ice Age 6 by calling it “Crash and Eddie: The Movie” because it’s a more accurate title than “Adventures of Buck Wild” and considering that even by Ice Age standards, they are his most hated characters that ruined Ice Age, there’s a good chance that AniMat will end up giving this piece of shit a *lower score than a 3/10* considering that nobody likes this movie (and I mean that literally).

I love all of the Ice age movies, 1 through 5. But I refuse to watch Bucks wild adventures as I don't want my childhood to be ruined in front of me.

I love the idea of the baby coming back; for the very last film of the series. Talking to the animals is stupid, humans aren't allowed to talk Ice Age, that would throw off the audience. As a child I LOVED the first 3 movies. Always watched it with my late grandpa. When the 4. one came out, I bought it on DVD so we could watch it. I was a bit disapointed, but it was okay. The 5. movie...well. I didn't really like it, but we watched it together so I still had fun watching it. This now? I would propably give it a chance if he was still alive, but yeah. No chance. I mean the movie is fine. But it’s nothing to write home about it’s a mediocre film in my opinion but this point as a fan of all the Ice Age movies except for five The franchise just needs to die at this point because humidity has gone too far and I have no hope for it.
It really says a lot when the biggest fan of The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild thinks that while it’s not horrible, it’s still very subpar (which, come to think of it, because of their lack of impact, is actually a big problem with today’s animations).

This could've been about Buck's backstory and how he went to the lost world his conflict with Rudy and heck even Zee and Arson could've been in it

I don’t know if it’s just because I grew up with the sequels and I just grew up, but when we hit ice age five I was just like… why is this a thing. Like ice age 4 was alright to me - I still enjoy it, but five ANNOYS ME SO MUCH. I wasn’t even aware of this movie being made - I assumed it was over after the fifth because the writers had finished doing that thing where they match up all the OGs with a love interest 😀 But thank you for saving me time and my sanity - I shall be steering WELL CLEAR of this.

I usually consider Simon Pegg to be the only good part of any horribad movie he's in, but I don't think even Simon Pegg is enough to make any part of this experience enjoyable for me...
Also I've been staring at that poster every time it's on the screen. What the hell is Buck's second foot standing on? Is it in the dinosaur's mouth? Is he balancing on one leg? Does he have it awkwardly twisted in a way that realistically would have torn a tendon or broken something? I can't make the physics of this poster make sense!

Calling it now, Crash and Eddie are only stars in this movie so the poor writers for the next film can forget about their existence. XD

Ice Age was really good when it was first made and Blue Sky did stretch it a bit but nothing too bad. Disney just didn’t care and stretched the story SO much that it doesn’t even feel like the movie is really Ice Age anymore. What are they gonna do next? Make a sequel of Epic?
When I saw the first trailer for this, I thought to myself “Oh god, this looks terrible!” and when I watched this movie on Disney+, my opinion never changed. The animation is awful, the replacement voice actors sound nothing like the character’s original voices, Scrat is missing in this movie, and Crash and Eddie are still annoying and unlikable as ever. I feel for you RaisorBlade
Although I personally loved the main Ice Age movies, I’m done. First Disney murders Blue Sky then digs up the grave and make another Ice Age movie. Comcast is has done the same to How to train your dragon series. No they thankfully didn’t shut down DreamWorks, they created a series that took plays 1000s of years after Hiccup, Toothless and every last character in the series, including Dart (Toothless and the Light Fury’s daughter (the black one with blue eyes and the white nose)) has died.
The only way this could have been good is taking inspiration for the scraped idea, except maybe having the grown baby maybe hunting down the animals, but I'm not a screenwriter and that's as far as that idea goes, and it may be a little to dark, idk.
