Why would anybody buy a delivery van you had to struggle opening and closing several doors and you can't stand up in? Delivery vans are STEP VANS with long running diesel engines you start once a day. To make the next delivery you stand up out of your seat inside, go back to the next item and check its number, grab the item and go down the steps thru the always open sliding door onto the curb away from traffic, deliver then re-enter the van away from traffic and sit in the driver seat directly. No doors to open and close. No opening doors into the traffic. No crawling in and out 500 times a day. No opening cargo doors and crawling in to get packages. Safer, simpler, much less strain....STEP VANS RULE!
If all reviews were done this way they wouldn’t get away with it. Great review with obviously no back handers taking place. Hopefully the manufacturers efforts will be rewarded with bankruptcy.
I just watched part 2 of this Vito story and it was absolutely brilliant, it portrayed the reality of winter driving in EV's, just wondering why have you deleted it? (Update part 2 is back )
His video sounds pretty believable to me. The whole point of a van is that it needs to carry a lot of stuff and usually heavy things, we all know that the heater, weight, cold, towing etc etc kills range, so I don't see why you are so ready to dismiss his reporting, before criticising him, maybe hire that van for yourself and do the same test 🤷🏻♂️.

'Captain Pugwash'....priceless!!! :)
You’re a natural comic matey, love it. 😂. But then these rubbish EVs provide plenty of material
Crying with laughter over your (very justified) rant about the stupid compass 😂😂
It could have been worse. What if it had popped out a pair of dowsing sticks?
@@swedishpsychopath8795 Next version leaves a trail of breadcrumbs so you can get back home after you get lost.
Thanks for the video,I don't think mercedes will ask you to do their next ad campaign though !
If all reviews were done this way they wouldn’t get away with it. Great review with obviously no back handers taking place. Hopefully the manufacturers efforts will be rewarded with bankruptcy.
Captain Pug-wash,when its on charge get in the back and you could be Master Bates ??
4.35 Does it have an anchor ?
Does it have the same load capacity as the ICE Vito? Those batteries must weigh a bit and surely the payload must have suffered!
Full load in the back and -10 deg C. Now check the range! :)
Love the gallows humour…. In that motor it’s a must😂👌🏽
most people are not smart enough to want practical and effective.
they want gadgets and gizmos, cause it's cool.
-16c here this morning ( Ontario Canada) don’t think a EV would work well today.
They missed a trick.
They could have mounted a sun dial on the bonnet to keep track of the time.
Or how about solar panels on the roof to keep it charged!
@@garysmith5025 Calm down Gary, my neighbour has an 208 EV, they hate driving in winter, if the heating's on they can't get to work and back. What car have you got, I could recommend it to them as they want to get rid of the 208, Mind you they have said they want to go back to an ICE car that works in all weathers.
Next is a model T-Ford with a battery. 😂 Talk about inovation.
@@garysmith5025 A 7am departure at -4° and you're already 90 miles into a journey in an EV that had to pre-heat. Tell us how the rest of your day in the Highlands in a van went after that? Not a van? Just an EV car? That's not what's being discussed here. I bought a new i3S for my wife. Great, fun little thing for local journeys but we keep some cars handy for demanding trips beyond the shops when we actually need a car.
My Vivaro EV I am forced to drive is sooooo painful!
They were going to loan me one for five days beginning of December whilst my 119 diesel was on its way. Salesman said in this weather about 110 if your lucky. I took the sprinter H2L1 which was to big but it was diesel. I do about 200-220 miles a day sometimes more so I would have to charge three times a day in remote areas no chance. Imagine racking it out and having a heater on and radio and lights 80miles? I’ll stick with my diesel it’s impossible to go electric with the job and areas I cover unless it will do 400 fully loaded without charging.
Oh my goodness, you gave me a good laugh, and I cannot disagree with anything you said. What’s the point of a van that does 150 miles at best, if you keep the heating off 🤦♂️
Hilarious... Great video! 😂
I'm having a shit morning, but Amstrad Tribute and Captain Pugwash was hilarious!!! Thank you.
A compass? Are sails an option?
How much is the conversion kit to put the engine back in ??????????????????????????
Citroen relay is worse. Depending on the choice of two battery sizes it gets a range of 73 miles or 137 miles. Useless.
I just had to laugh when I saw the compass 😂 they are definitely having a laugh! Electric cars are not the future they are a load of rubbish!
Ha ha ha. Love your sense of humour. I suppose you need one. Mercedes have obviously not even taken it seriously. Brilliant vlog 👍😂👍
Does it have a little clicker on the wheels so you can see the distance you drove lol 😆 😅
Where's the Altimeter?
Last winter my nephew was making food deliveries in Canary wharf in an EV Sprinter van, 2/3 through his route he needed to return back to the yard in Battersea to put it on charge..... Don't have that problem with the usual diesel one.
Great chanel i work in a bodyshop and repair milkys and the build quality is shocking..oh apparently the new trend from the metal thiefs is nicking charging cable for the copper my mate drives a pos van and has 3 stolen in as maney months... keep it up m8
Bloody compass 😂😂😂😂😂😂😅 great review made my day
I used to do warranty repair work for an appliance shop that got a brand new Vito van. When it was 2 years old there was so much rust it looked like a 15 year old van!
