Look at the bottom of Molgera's lip things. There is a pattern that resembles eyes. This pattern is common in nature, and by far the most common purpose is to scare away predators. Based on the positioning, it seems to be most effective at warding off threats at a lower altitude. Seeing as how Molgera can fly and can burrow in sand, it most likely existed in the desert, this means that something from the desert and lived either above and/or below ground was the main threat. The first thing that comes to mind are Mulduga, but I don't think they existed at the time. He is the boss of the wind temple, so maybe they flew by catching the wind and they burrowed in the sand of beaches. There are a lot more things that could pose a threat. But then there's the obvious size problem. Or maybe he was just a monster created by Ganondorf to keep the wind safe sealed idk. Also I don't really know where else to put this but Molgera vaguely resembles the wind waker.

This has always been a favorite Zelda song, so seeing the original was both surprising and amazing. But now? Seeing it redone was (to me at least) both an amazing testament to how far you guys have come, and an amazing way to start my day! Keep up the good work guys!
I appreciate the effort in the BOTW fight to make it as similar to the Molgera fight as possible and not climbing on the rocks to cheese the hell out of it.
I like the ambiguity of this piece. Are those really Molgera's opinions being put to song? Sounds like it, except for "I've taken power into my hands", and "For at the end of days, we're all a worm's meal!", maybe it's really Ganondorf? Personal opinion, since Ganondorf halfway wanted Link to succeed in "Wind Waker", to prove he really was the recurring hero who would bring him the courage piece, that this is Ganondorf speaking through Molgera, trying to disguise the fact, but slipping up at points. This would suggest that for all his self reflection, Ganondorf still has a pretty high opinion of himself. And maybe the "backup singers" are really Molgera adding it's own thoughts to the mix? "The world will never change, it will only turn." Not only is that scientifically inaccurate, even for a fantasy world like Zelda, but "Wind Waker" is the MOST change we've ever seen in a Zelda game. There's a sea where once was a country! Fits with Ganondorf's goal to undo the flood and claim Hyrule though, doesn't it? The Edgar Poe poem was a good choice as well. The "Tragedy Of Man" being a play about living puppets who don't see their own strings, the conqueror worm being the hero who sets them free...gruesomely, but this isn't "The Tragedy Of Man", this is "The Legend Of Zelda" and the worm isn't the hero here. This story is a happy one. Despite the once proud kingdom being covered by a cursed, fishless sea, life is going well. The only people who miss the old land are the king and the would be king, and the king proper gets over it. Molgera has delusions of grandeur, but in this particular game, it's just another worm on the reel.
so does anyone else remember the original? edit: this is honestly the fastest ive gained replies and likes ever :o (i just realized this sort of edit is done a lot so why did i do it? i dunno i got nothing else)
I know this is random but here's a tip for fighting molgera in Breath of the wild: striking at it's belly almost does double or triple normal damage depending on what weapon you use

I'm playing through my first run of Wind Waker, and the Wind Temple, which I just beat earlier tonight, was one of the hardest dungeons I have ever played. Molgera was NOT easy! I had one fairy when I entered the boss fight, and I came out with none. Brilliant music, brilliant atmosphere, but difficult fight!! :)
I didn't realize the song was from Molgera's POV until I saw the comment section. All stupidity aside though, this is a good rendition, and I love the use of Edgar Allen Poe's works for this.
Hmm, I wonder who would be the ones to sing a cover of Take My Breath Away, it was made by DAGames and theres an instrumental version of it, I think that would be awesome to see on this channel, and definitely a fitting song for Link (just maybe a suggestion ^^')
Sorry if I'm sounding brash, but could you do a song from Oneshot? It''s a video game with a similar feel and style like Undertale, though it never took off in popularity like it did, even if it instills the same feels/tears Undertale does, or in my opinion, even more so. The game deserve so much more attention for how amazing it is, even if it was released a few years ago, and I love it to bits. If you won't, that's fine, just keep making amazing content like always!
Alex doesn't really take requests. He really just does what he feels like doing, for the most part (if certain songs get popular, he'll listen to that and make more from the same game, but otherwise, it's all up to him).
So, an idea I had. If you listen closely, there's a much deeper, more guttural voice beneath the main melody... except when it sings 'the wind through the flowers'. The guttural voice is the actual Molgera, while the other voice is being used by it, and the 'wind through the flowers' is the voice's owner - likely Fado - trying to reach out to link and cheer him on.
I'm pretty sure Alex said the 'I'm protector of the sea' was supposed to be 'of the seal', though that wouldn't rhyme. I'm certain that making the following verse 'I deny the sword you wield' would work.
Just when I thought your original cover couldn't get any better, you go and add gameplay footage and the best chorus on the internet. Happy New Year, Alex! Here's to another year of good health, happiness, and awesome lyrical adaptations of songs from video games.

how can a song account a giant flying worm that eats everything sounds so poetic and bad ass?
oh right, it’s zelda
Now watching more of the video instead of listening, I'm seeing there's more about Molgera reminiscent of Morpheel. Not only is it's intro movements in the air very similar to Morpheel's Final Stage, but it also has the phase of using the grapple hook of that game to grapple a weak point inside a tentacle.
It reminds me of that annoyance too.
I got those vibes first time i fought morpheel bc i played wind waker far before twilight princess, probably used the same movrment engine/code for both
Bit of a stretch considering morpheel is already a reference to morpha
I get Molgera vibes when I fight a molduga
It’s so nice to compare how far you’ve come with a remake. I loved the old video and now it’s even better!
I remember when I first became a fan of this channel I listened to the original a lot because I liked it so much, so seeing it redone at the end of Zelda Musical Bytes was honestly one of the greatest surprises ever, Thank You Moti:)
I hope we'll get a Colgera with lyrics from ToTK at some point

Well wouldn’t you know it.

I’ve been listening to this song repeatedly, because it’s really good. I also had fun actually looking up The Conqueror Worm and matching the lyrics of this to the poem. The ways in which you incorporated them was really clever.
So we just had 4 of hyrules best singing such great songs then this random worm comes right outta left field with a voice of a god sure at this point I give up you SING IT WORM
He comes from the land, spits Fire and Sand, he’s taken these bars into his hands
He may be a sand worm, but he’s spittin straight fire
I mean he did come from the land of Fire and Sand sooo

Relistened to your Champion Songs after I completed each champion's respective dlc(except Revali. I'm not done yet), and it suddenly occurred to me that I should've played this while fighting Molduking.
I love the duality that it's an incredibly powerful boss, but it's theme just makes you want to smile and dance, despite the tone of these lyrics.
If anyone wants to use this for a dragon, just replace worm in the chorus with Wyrm, a word of dragon. That way you could use this for The Ender Dragon, Ghidorah, or The Screaming Death
Or Rathalos.
That's three fandoms I'm in.
Does Giratina counters a dragon?
@@davidmckenzie9086 Technically yes. Ghost/Dragon type
And replace a few other words
I love the fact that they used a lot of these lyrics in the Colgera with lyrics, it’s fitting due to the clear split parts that are Molgera and Colgera and Molduga
This song is truly amazing. It tealy does give you the molgeras opinion about the events of the game its just truly a piece of art
Just read the poem the lyrics were semi-based on, and HOLY BALLS, nice job putting the poem to Molgera's kick-butt theme! Man on the Internet just musically outshining all. I swear, this dude's more like God of the Internet lmao, this guy makes such amazing songs!! I just wish I knew the guy, he seems like he's probably just an awesome guy through-and-through.
If I may suggest a song, how about Zant's battle theme? [You know, if you're a masoschist lol, that'd be hard to lyric-ify.]
More seriously though, I might find some kick-butt songs to toss your way as suggestions, probably in the replies to this comment, if I can keep track of it. And given that, if you see this, you read everything, thanks for reading! It means a lot for a big-name creator to notice a comment, ya know? :3
When I saw this pop up in the Zelda bytes compilation, my mind did backflips in excitement!
I'm sorry but how did I only find this just NOW ? Thanks for this song I am addicted !!
Same
The chorus is mesmerizing.
I have a question: who's the one doing that low, growling voice in the chorus? Alex (now without typo)? Steel?
It sounds like Steel
Is it just me or was sans in the chorus
@@jonasturman6953 Yeah Steel is part of the chorus for this song.
@@elmina9403 cool thx
Steel has an impressively low singing voice
I immediately want to play hyrule warriors.
I wanna either play Wind Waker or finish that drawing I’m making of Toon Link fighting Molgera
Finish that drawing man!
Data Master the hyrule warriors remixes are about taking belived tracks and cranking them to 11 for the full scale war that’s taking place.
Yeah but... If you wanna play stage with this song (wind and earth temples) you must finish another 31 scenario before...
ALC 3333 you assume i dont already have this game. And that i dont enjoy its repetitive game play. AND THAT THE REST OF THE SOUNDTRACK ISNT AWSOME!!
But yes if i play hyrule warriors again it will be on my switch
This was my favorite before you added the lyrics
AND NOW IT IS MY FAVORITE BOSS THEME EVER FOR NOW!!
Now knowing that "sea" was supposed to be "seal", from "behind the lyrics"
"We watched the kingdom fall, the water drowned it all, your birthright was pulled into the brine!"
"Oh, I come from the land of fire and sand, the sea will be drained at my command!"
"One day the great flood waters well may recede, and time will be at the mercy of the thieves! A sentimental tale, will soon go off the rails, and no one will hear the princess grieve!"
"I'm protector of this seal, I remain despite your zeal, and you will never see your true power!"
Man, this song is a real earworm.
Wait...
No, its a sandworm
Completely different
To paraphrase a certain someone from a certain recent game who I can't help but see having a philosophy similar to this interpretation of Molgera,
*You are in the dunes of a desert.*
If this song was done by every Molgera/Moldorm like enemy in the series:
Molgera: Come listen to the tale we tell toniggght!
The princess of the Goddess' blood, and her knigggght!
For all through history, They always seemed to be, the ones to fight for the light!
Moldorm: Their wisdom and their courage seemed so divine!
But they lacked the will to see how bright power shines!
We watched the kingdom fall, and the water drowned them all, and pulled the kingdom into the brine!
Mini moldorms: The world will never chaaange...
Flamolas: It'll only turrn.
Molgera: Now say goodbye to the light, so goodbye to hero of our time!
Swamolas: The tragedy of man,
Colgera: the Conqueror worm!
Molgera: I come from the land of fire and sand, I've taken power into my hands!
Molgera: lKnight of the wind, I proclaim, This is your final hour, for all that I see is a world to de-vo-ur!
IM THE PROTECTOR IF THE SEA, I DENY YOUR MASTERY
AND YOU WILL NEVER SEE YOUR TRUE POWWERRR
Molgera: The wind through the flowers...
Everyone but Molgera and molduga: the wind through the flowers!
Molduga: One day great floodwaters may well receeede!
And time will be at mercy of the thieeeves!
A sentimental tale, will soon go off the rails,
For all will know the might of the sea!
Molgera: Short-lived was the Knight's victory over our king!
Colgera: For he returned and brought back suffering!
Molgera: The memories you RECALL!
Colgera: In time you lost them all!
Molduga (now unfrozen from the Recall): but still and all the tales we sing!
Everyone but molduga: The world will never change... It'll only turrn..
Molgera: Now say goodbye to the light, Goodbye to the hero of our time!
Everyone but molduga and molgera: The tragedy of man, the conqueror worm!
molgera: I come from the land of fire and sand, now ive taken power into my hands!
Continue on!
Yay

1 day earlier: complete package
Yesterday: new Zelda song
That's how the musical bytes work.We get 4 songs, then a complete package with a bonus song. Then, that bonus song releases as a normal video.
This has always been a favorite Zelda song, so seeing the original was both surprising and amazing. But now? Seeing it redone was (to me at least) both an amazing testament to how far you guys have come, and an amazing way to start my day! Keep up the good work guys!
0:12 is just epic + the whole song is amazing
"The world will never change, it will only turn."
Not only is that scientifically inaccurate, even for a fantasy world like Zelda, but "Wind Waker" is the MOST change we've ever seen in a Zelda game.
My introduction to your channel and one of my favorite covers of this song thank you so much!!!!
I love this song. I love the MOTI version. But I didn't know I needed a remaster so much!
so does anyone else remember the original?

This song is so catchy this is the third time I've listened to it

Mostly every MotI song for me.
If I like it I loop it at *least* 20 times a day
All of you are weak. I play this on loop all day.
I’ve done more than 40
I know this is random but here's a tip for fighting molgera in Breath of the wild: striking at it's belly almost does double or triple normal damage depending on what weapon you use
this is amazing!!!!!!! Ive always thought something was missing from this theme.
I may of never played a Zelda game, but I like this song a lot! I think this one was my favorite out of the whole package. Great job!
Edit: I would love a 1 hour version of this song!
The wind through the flowers...
This is probably my favourite of MOTI's covers.
The world will never CHANGE, it will only turn
(now say good bye to the light, Goodbye the hero of our time!)
HOLY CRAP! im totally in love with the original musik from that boss, BUT THIS MAKES IT EVEN BETTER!!!
THANK YOU FOR THAT PIECE OF MASTERWORK😍
I would've never expected guys to remaster one of your songs and I love the result
I would buy a whole music album from Alex Beckham’s Molgera.

I love it thank u for remaking this song it sounds so good and your voice it’s so good when it’s put with this song
1:40 hold up the molduking doesn’t do his dig animation completely
Revali you are my best friend’s F A V O R I T E champion!!
Tell him he has my thanks
I didn't realize the song was from Molgera's POV until I saw the comment section.
All stupidity aside though, this is a good rendition, and I love the use of Edgar Allen Poe's works for this.
Hmm, I wonder who would be the ones to sing a cover of Take My Breath Away, it was made by DAGames and theres an instrumental version of it, I think that would be awesome to see on this channel, and definitely a fitting song for Link (just maybe a suggestion ^^')
how did you know I loved Molgera? Beautiful job as always!
We need Molgera Musical Bytes.
This is a very underrated song, it’s amazing
This voice is identically the same as dark pit's voice from this music
That is the voice of Alex that is gracing your ears
Alex’s voice is a voice of a angel
... Just noticed it, and that is another one of my favorites.... What is it with me and bad guys?
Mettaton
@Giel de Beer He is an antagonist though
We now have Colgera
MAN THIS SONG IS SO GOOD I LOVE IT SO MUCH
So, an idea I had.
The world will never change it will only turn
Who came back to this after having heard the colgera theme?
Me
I've been listening to this on repeat for over an hour
I think I have a problem
I'm pretty sure Alex said the 'I'm protector of the sea' was supposed to be 'of the seal', though that wouldn't rhyme. I'm certain that making the following verse 'I deny the sword you wield' would work.
Since my English class, this has been in my head!
