@@pkmntrainerred4247 Fun fact: when he met Samus as a child, she offered him a flower, and in return, he killed the entire colony, making sure to, and taking pleasure in, kill Samus' parents in front of her. There's a manga where it's revealed that he takes the fact Samus survived personally, that's right, he considers the fact he missed a child while wiping out an entire colony to be an insult! So yeah. Psychopath might be too nice a term.
I used to wonder why the Space Pirates didn't do much pirating, then it hit me. When Ridley took over, they weren't just pirates. They were a personality cult for Ridley. This is a violent psychopath that took over a species of dangerous but simple-minded (i.e. stupid) pirates to use as a vehicle for more carnage. It only makes sense that he'd ally himself with the omnicidal Mother Brain. Her goal is Ridley's pastime; death.

The choir is just... hypnotic. The chant of “All scream out their final breath, to the Cunning God of Death” was mesmerizing in a way all too fitting for Ridley. The exact thing he tells himself and his crew, especially when he takes his victims. “Blood and gore, by the score, falling to the Dragon’s roar.”

I think one of my favorite parts of this is just how breathlessly *exhilarated" he is in this. It's exactly the level of edge I expect anything involving Ridley, but that extra little addition makes it all the more perfect.
Exactly why it's so perfect as a Ridley voice. This isn't a job for him, a hired hit, or just cleaning up some witnesses or whatever. All that implies a purpose, or justified reason for it.

I don't know. None of his game sounds sre ever really deep. Their high-pitched and kind of scratchy. First thing that comes to mind is the ubholy screech he has in Fusion.

I'm remembering Ridley in the origin story manga had a soft spot for cute things...and it didn't make him any less terrifying as he expressed it while watching a burning town and inhaling its smoke. And he ate Samus's mother only moments later. Its showed he can go from a normal person to his more well known self the instant he has a target that's not beneath his pride to give attention to.

Watching this back-to-back with Gangplank Galleon really shows the variety in Nintendo's villains.

Yeah, you can still portray psychopathic serial killers really well even in pg-13 movies, Joker from dark knight and Hella from Thor ragnarock are great examples, Ridley would just have to be a whole lot less comical than those two
PG-13? Metroid is based on Alien and has a lot of messed up horror that is incredibly sanitized by Nintendo to make them playable for all publics.
If they make a Metroid movie, this sound would be soundtrack exclusive.

"Another world is soon to fall, another mark upon the wall." Very dynamic. Something as large and impersonal as the world is compared to just one of many remains of a violent and personal crime. It really paints Ridley's indifference to anything.
I was one of the people who for years dreamed of Ridley getting in. It took all of ten seconds for this song to have me smiling like an idiot. If there’s any Nintendo character who would say “Pile the bodies” it’s this psychopath

I think Kylie Ann did a really good job with the artwork. The shading for the light of the lava, the particles of ash, even the reflection in Ridley’s eyes... it’s really menacing. Only point of contention is in the hands which seem thicker and more humanoid than Ridley’s, but even that is a relative nitpick and for all I know could be an artistic choice. Way to go.

The beauty of Ridley is he’s Smart and deadly. He can calculate on the fly every single way to brutally slaughter you and can predict your feeble attempts to fight back. He’s has intelligence 1000X that of anyone else and uses it to stain the stars!

Ridley on the other hand while he would probably loose to someone like Ganondorf or Bowser they're super powered and the rules are different then when they are if they go against you since Ridley could end you quickly but he would choose not to and would take his time killing you so you understand that you are screwed.

The thing that makes Ridley different from the other villains is that he doesn't fear death because he is the literal embodiment of death his will is too strong for him to die. His psychopathic nature was that he even felt pity for Samus when she was a child and wants her to be killed by only him and gloats that he ate her mother's remains to regenerate his body which he despised eating humans but he has to in order to heal himself and his satisfaction of causing death and massacre
He would be compared to King Ghidorah from the anime and Monsterverse due to both of them being evil space dragons that want to take over the world and both are fully aware of their actioms which they took delight in suffering
Imagine if we could actually hear his voice in an official Metroid game for the first time.
Well, we know from the manga that he can speak.
The manga also confirms that Ridley is just as bloodthirsty and evil as this song portrays him as being.
Come to think of it, considering how twisted and evil he is, maybe it's better that we don't hear his voice, due to what he would probably be saying.
