I popped this same batch 3 last night and was pleasantly shocked at how damn good it was. Pretty much agree w you but I really enjoyed the finish on this batch..
Nice review! I really enjoyed batch one so I grabbed batch two and after my first pour I got a backup bottle and I’m going to stop with what I have. My store owner friend let me buy them for 115.00 bucks each, but he lets me have the 12yr for 51.00 bucks and it’s similar for less. Cheers!
Wonderful review. If Batch 3 has more of a tannic note than Batch 2, than I may skip it. I bought Batch 2 for around $185 last year and thought it was good, but definitely not good for the price. At that price point everything has to be perfect.
Appreciate it. Batch 2 is better in my opinion, so you are good on skipping if you have one already. But if you love toffee, then batch 3 would be preferable as it’s so pungent. 🥃
@@BourbonRetriever I'm a huge JB fan but K18 B2 is way too oaky for my (reminds me of JW HC 211). With this being said, do you think I will like KC18 B1 and B3. I have a B1 not opened and just got rid of my B3.
180 is to high when you can buy a 12 year for 67.99. By the time you add in 9-10% tax you’re looking at close to $200. Last years batch is still sitting on the shelves around here.
the knob creek 15 is by far the best knob creek in my opinion, I've had multiple batches of all the core lineup and legitimately think the order goes 15>12>18=9

Glad you love it! Cheers 🥃
Agree the KC store picks are always great pours for 50.00-58.00 bucks!
One I recommend novice drinks to grab when they are getting into whiskey. Pretty findable and good values. Cheers 🥃
I like batch 3 over it’s predecessors because of its complexity, however the best high age Beam for me this year is the Hardin Creek 211mo 😉
That 211 is so good. One of the best beam products I’ve had🥃

That's a great price! Glad you were able to grab a few before they disappear. Cheers 🥃

Batch 2 is my favorite between all 3 Knob Creek 18 batches. I agree KC12 is a much better value then KC18.
Agreed that batch 2 is the best. Cheers 🥃

@@dopey621 probably not if you didn’t like batch 2. Batch 1 and 3 have the same amount of oak but it’s more bitter
KC12 is like 80$ right now. Still an awesome value!
Wow. A store has it for $55 next to me. Wild the difference in prices. But I’d still buy it at $80. 🥃

Agreed, the 12 year is the bottle to buy. Cheers 🥃

Last time I did the blind 3 years ago, it went in order of age. But I need to do it again, been too long. 🥃
