- This is a full length ride from the Italian side (south) to the border of Switzerland (north) in August to the top of the Col du Grand St. Bernard. I have an older video that from north to south which was recorded in May:

The Great St. Bernard Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2.469m (8,100ft) above the sea level, located in Switzerland. The pass (called Col du Grand-Saint-Bernard in French, and Colle del Gran San Bernardo in Italian) connects Martigny in the Canton of Valais in Switzerland to Aosta in Italy.

So, bin jetzt erst dazu gekommen, mir das Video anzusehen. Ach wie schön es doch ist, ein kurviges Asphaltband zu sehen, welches sich durch ein sattes Grün gen Himmel schlängelt. Untermalt vom herrlichen Geräusch eines Knallgasexplosionsverbrenners! Schnief. Der Sommer muss her!
so isses - geht dieses Jahr vielleicht sogar etwas schneller - Winter war hier bisher noch nicht 😎
Na ja, bei mir ist es beim Blick aus dem Fenster rundherum schneeweiß! Aber immerhin ca. drei Meter weniger hoch als letztes Jahr um die gleiche Zeit. Wird also hoffentlich schneller wegschmelzen im Frühjahr!
Der Maschinist ich bin ja bald wieder in den Bergen. Dann aber zum Skifahren 😎
@@MotoVibes Dann wünsche ich viel Spaß und heile Knochen. Also sonnenscheinmäßig gibt es hier in den Bergen nichts zu beklagen. Seit zwei Wochen nur blauer Himmel und Sonne. Aber nachts dafür eisig kalt.

@@princegilgiti2656 Torqueter & Thomas are 2 different friends ;-) It is winter now in northern Europe - main riding season here is typically between March-October for most. Winters have gotten warmer in Germany in the past 10 years - we hardly have snow anymore in northern Germany - not warm enough for most riders through ;-)

Was this after your Stelvio "slide"? I've watched many of your videos of you tearing around the mountains, as if you'd stolen the bike, so speaking as someone who might actually be coming round one of those blind bends one day, it's a nice change to see you actually riding at a more "sensible" speed this time too! 👍
Thank you Dom - yes - this was after my Stelvio crash still on the same trip through the alps .. and I did steal the bike ;-) but seriously - I like riding fast but not all the time - I could not keep up a day of 400+ km in the moutains at that level - most of it is touring speed (and not even recorded on video). I try to keep it safe for other and me - so do not worry when I come around the corner ;-) Thanks for stopping by - ride safe!

Vielen Dank JoSchi! Du meinst den schwarzen Bus bei 6:40 min nehme ich an. Der hat alles richtig gemacht und hatte auch seinen Blinker rechtzeitig an - es gibt halt auch aufmerksame Autofahrer. Das war jetzt auch nicht die allerbeste Stelle zum Überholen, da man aufgrund des Gegenverkehrs ohnehin nur das silberne Auto überholen konnte - kann man machen muss man aber nicht ;-)
