IV been doing this for two years now. I have been healed of Cptsd, ADHD, loneliness, severe insomnia, insecurity and now I have finally been freed through my kundalini awakening. Im leaving all the darkness behind and going to Bali, following God and my destiny 🙏 Michael has been instrumental in this new step of my path, silencing my mind and releasing myself from my ego. Thank you for the teaching Michael 🙏

Michael Singer helped me to understand the voices in my head. His one quote about getting upset about the driver going 10 mph under the speed limit, this hit so hard and dead on target. It was such a profound awakening just when I needed it most. I thank God for placing this wise man in my path.. peace and love to all. I am so grateful....

So how come it comes and goes this state of blissful presence . For me the alert quiet space comes and goes for me still . I haven’t been able to have a steady state of it all the time . That’s my only goal in life is to clear and heal myself . All I care about is to be present as much as I can . Nothing outside can’t bring me that feeling

Think THE key point he's making is that this shouldn't be a goal, or even something you "care about"... as that's just more struggle with reality, more clinging, more ego. It's the aspect that trips everyone up - the effort to bridge the gap between where we are and where we want to be.
There should be no effort, just surrender - to what already is. You let it come to you (actually it's already here - you just have to recognise that, "simply" allow what's obscuring (what's already) your true nature to fall away and then abide in it) rather than going in search of it. That's my understanding of the Tao. Hope that helps.

I think this is why I've never really gotten it. I want to find pleasure and avoid pain. The neutral, nothing matters, it's just happening vibe seems like just another coping mechanism for numbing pain, but one that also shrinks the effect or feeling of joy/pleasure. So, like, we're here to just see and cope with whatever pain the ego responds with? That's life? Wow. Maybe one day I'll get it!

    • @Listen2BAware
      @Listen2BAware 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Dopamine addiction (the pleasure pathway in the brain is real). This is why people do pleasurable things as a distraction (social media, education, relationships, roles, titles, material possessions, etc) running away from Self and seeking external pleasures to dull that sense of void within. But our brains are created to keep us safe and balanced and there comes a point where too much essence has built up on the pain side so no matter what you do for pleasure you feel nothing. This pointing is saying that with discipline and dedication we may bring our ego/ identity/preferences that control our wellbeing into submission. With this submission we are peace inside, whole, and need nothing outside to feel good. As we live in this state we can love unconditionally, work and experience life without being attached to the outcome, without having expectations, without needing others to be this or that way so we feel secure, without comparison or judgment. We have a choice to be free or bound, Life happens either way.

I have chosen to stop creating stress over things I have no control over. It doesn’t mean my life doesn’t continue…. I means my thoughts and actions will not upset my environment.
Thus far I’ve found the outcomes are not different

    • @Iplayticuw

It is, prior to this you would have reacted worse more than likely, and therefore suffered unnecessarily as a result.

    • @Listen2BAware
      @Listen2BAware 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

Watching for the outcomes is expectation. Thinking this path will create a better situation is still resistance and doership. Looking out at the environment is being pulled there. If it never changed its OK, everything that's relevant is what's going on within. And with time the outside may reflect the inside.

By this time it is proven beyond doubt that these 'direct paths' will not either make people grow up or clean up, just wake up to certain degrees.
Spiritual bypassing is a real thing and people with severe trauma, which is a great deal of humanity, will need other modalities also.

    • @SeatsofContemplation

      Hi there,
I don't know his teachings apart from these short videos where it is obvious that he teaches in the kind of neo-advaita style that have been clearly seen as a tool for spiritual bypassing. I do not doubt it can feel liberating or be of good value. It is not a black or white question. If you search around about 'dangers of neo advaita' or similar, then you will find articles that describes this much better than I can.
The levels of body, emotions, thoughts, trauma, ethics, unconscious, shadow-work, etc, is also necessary to adress on their particular levels as I see it, but many see it otherwise.

In general, all of the traditional mystery schools, east and west, used several levels of initiatory steps to make sure proper maturity and CAPACITY to harbor and embody the 'gnosis' recieved.
Even Jesus and St Paul said that they couldn't teach everything to all.
Modern trauma research also shows us that spirituality can be used in ways that may hide lots of unhealed stuff and make one to believe it is gone or absolved. Ramana Maharshi spoke about false liberation as a real phenomena. Papaji said that not one of his western pupils reached liberation - despite that they have been teaching for decades now.
Adyashanti speaks of certain awakenings connected to the head center that may feel total or complete but is just the beginning at best and the heart/feeling level and gut/instinctive/will level can be fast asleep and unpurified.
David Godman, Timothy Conway, Ken Wilber and many more also speaks about neo advaita traps or the necessity to not only wake up but to grow up and clean up.
I believe it is for anyone to see that the history of eastern teachers coming to the west shows us so many good examples how people can reach certain samadi STATES of liberation but their psyche/soul/body may remain in very low/dysfunctional STAGES of development.
This is such a huge topic and I am just pointing towards them in as honest way as possible. We all have to discern what we think is necessary and true and help each other to make the most of our collective and individal processes.

However, when he says we reach this desired state only by having no preferences, none at all.........if we are ill, and trying to get to a better place......by doing what it takes to get to that better place, how would we not being having a preference. Or if you're going to lose the roof over your head, so you have the preference to try and seek out some different options, how would that not be having a preference? I can see if you have a lot of money so you no you won't be evicted etc.... that would be easy. Any thoughts?
I can see taking the actions to get a better job, or to try and find something to help your health issues, or taking some action to rectify what's going on in your life that really, IS a serious problem (here on planet earth terms).............and just taking the action but being willing to not have a preference if it happens or not, or being willing to not care if it happens or not...............but how would you go about those actions and not have any preference about it? The way our brains work, to do something would mean we have a preference for it. So ?
And for those people whom are in a very bad place, due to no fault of their own, are they suppose to just roll over and say that their totally fine with it? They are suppose to not even try to get out of misery or pain etc..........That seems like a very defeatist way of life. Very martyrish. If you found out there was no cure or no possibility for being okay, that yes, I can see accepting it. But are you supposed to just sit around and do nothing?

I don’t it matters what’s happening in the 5D world, it’s our reaction to it. We can’t control all the terrible things that happen but we can control how we react to it. Being in suffering doesn’t have a purpose, it doesn’t mean bad stuff isn’t happening but we can choose to be happy even in the worst of situations

I’m not Mickey, so this is just my humble opinion. I think our preferences, especially the ones that our mind generates automatically, are based on all the “stuff” that we didn’t let go in the past. This “stuff” clouds our judgment. When we are able to release this “stuff”, then, as Mickey says, there are no decisions to make. Our path becomes clear.

MIchael's teaching is very similar to Eckhart Tolle's. Basically the idea is to accept what is and then take the next best action you can. We create additional suffering by defining things as good or bad and making mountains out of molehills. For example, if you lose your job and are broke, of course try and fix that, but don't create extra suffering by adding your extra meaning of what the situation means. The situation is what it is. It's neutral.

yes, he would probably say to stay present without any preference one way or another, letting go of worry and doubt, perhaps in the stillness trust and faith would arise naturally of its own accord, it maybe the case, and with that trust and no self concern it would open the door to grace flowing into ones existance,

Have people read his book The Surrender Experiment?
He built the company that later was bought by the company that is known as WebMD.
      Assuming I recall it correctly.
He lived these ways the entire time and even nearly went to jail for a crime he didn't commit.
Yet, he surrendered/accepted throughout this period where he could have been jailed for 15 years.
If you want to find out how he used these exact principles in that situation I suggest you read the book.
      It's amazing I must say.

Jai Guru Dev, Jai Masters. Jai Guru Dev is a traditional Hindu phrase that means Glory to the Great Teacher (the most accurate translation would be glory to the shining remover of darkness), where the great teacher here is generally considered to be the Divine Soul, while we, as human beings, are considered the individuated Soul. Jai Masters means Glory to the Masters, some of whom Singer refers to at times.

The really astounding thing if you keep watching is that you'll learn that while his life (by anyone's standards) was being turned upside down, he still managed to write one of his books, The Untethered Soul, that so many have benefited from.

Often we have too many bills because we bought things we wanted and not needed
Loads of self attack by our choices
Having more children than one can afford because of thoughts " I will be a good parent"

(NO PREFERENCES) The pathless way cannot be accurately explained using words. Words explain what the pathless way is “like,” but cannot explain it precisely. They who live the pathless way do their best to describe how it is lived, but are only able to describe what it is, “like,” which is all words can do.
How does one use words to explain color to a blind person, sound to the deaf, scent to a person with anosmia, taste to one with ageusia, feeling to someone with Peripheral neuropathy? Impossible? Stories and parables attempt to explain, try to bridge the impossible. How does one explain an experience, a way of life, that cannot be explained using mere words? One can’t do it accurately, which is why they who do try to explain use the same words, the best available.
Living (experiencing) the pathless way is “LIKE” these words, but is beyond these words which describe feelings: thankful, at peace, content, happy, joyful, blissful, ecstatic, and simply “I’m OK with my leg falling off, (because that’s what is) and I’m OK with the universe (people, places, and things doing what they do in spite of my best efforts) because THAT’S WHAT IS, and it’s insanity to fight what is because once something IS, it’s in the past and cannot be changed (until later, maybe), but in the meantime, I’m OK. I’m dying here, but I’m OK.
George and Ed were shopping when a bomb went off and both were blown apart, but are momentarily alive. George looks at Ed, and Ed looks at George and their last words to each other were, “Wow! What an awesome experience.” The smiled, laughed and died.
I was chased by a bear. “He’ll get me or he won’t. I have no preference, but I’m running as fast as I can, because I can. I trip. I fall. He’s on top of me. THIS IS AWESOME!” I hear a shot. The bear is dead. OK! oh well, I was OK, either way.
    THE END.

It’s a perspective on non-duality, in which all is forgiven immediately; in fact, from God’s or Spirit’s or The Universe’s perspective (whatever name you give to that entity) all is known and forgiven long before the act is committed.
Certainly not a common human, time-limited perspective; but (from what I can tell) is the only viewpoint which makes sense from an Everything That Is perspective.
Hurt people hurt people. The “bad” things people do are (almost always) things which have been done to them. Or they are acting out from a place of pain and/or desperation.
      I hope this helps!

    • @Listen2BAware
      @Listen2BAware 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Think about this words are just sounds, we attach meaning to them. If no one ever told you what good & bad, evil, pure, etc meant you would not assign a perspective (meaning, assumption, value) to things that are called good or bad. We decide what's good or bad based off our socialization of norms, preferences and experiences. If we stop doing that it all becomes things that happen, experiences in this life.

    • @SeatsofContemplation

If I have a problem with the rain, it's my fault. I have a problem. This terminology is harsh and doesn't land well with me. There is no compassion here- and there's an implied blaming and shaming. This is a very masculine, witness level approach to relating to life, but it's leaving out the feminine, which is to embrace everything with love, welcoming it, including any emotions, resistance or pain.

Yes..........IF you have an interest, please read my comment up above and if you have any input, let me know. I completely get doing this weather or other factors like that, but not when you're facing very serious issues? And to me with serious factors, yes, go ahead and accept them, but still take action to make them better. For instance, with the children dying etc..........volunteer in some way or do something that you think will help, but then isn't that "having" a preference? And we are not supposed to have preferences. I really like MS, but most of his teachings fall short like you mentioned up above.
Maybe he's just talking about people that don't have any real problems. The kind of people that make their own problems, even though the have health and are able to have a roof over their head, etc..........they might complain about everything. This video would work wonderfully for them. Yes, we need deeper examples. Hope you're having a good day! Cheers.

If only we could become aware of our thoughts and make them our servant instead of our masters. Watch what we love and hate before reacting.
