    Thank you Micheal, I listen to you every day. Such wonderful reminders of what is really important! It's changed my life! I've stopped blaming others, and look at what's going on inside instead.

    To help me stay focused, I jot down key points in a little notebook. I also listen to a Singer audio in the morning and evening. Staying focused is the key. The benefits are cascading. ❤

    This is absolutely true. I used to have a problem with a belligerent neighbour. I used to think about it all the time, thinking about how much it affected my life and i would talk to anyone who would listen to my traumatic story. One day when someone who I hadn't seen for a while asked me about my neighbour situation. I barely knew this person and that's what he remembered about me. I made a point then and there to simply stop talking about the situation. After a few months, I realised I hadn't had a problem with the neighbour for quite a while and things drastically improved. We are like magnets, the more we talk about a problem, the more we attract it into our lives. Simple solution

    At unplesent times in my life, I realized that I try very hard to catch glimpses of happiness to escape deep feeling of emptiness and sadness. I went under the blanket to be in total darkness and I sank in to my darknes. I felt very scared, but I had no choise any more. One moment it was nothingness, darkness and miningless and suddenly I felt and saw the light in the dark. At that moment, somehow I foud the light, I felt the light in me, it just was there, I didn't even look for it.

    Fall in love with yourself. When you love yourself unconditionally, you are no longer “needy” for others to love you. Ironically, that’s when you will naturally attract love from others. Like attracts like. Love attracts love.

    I am just a bit confused about the things he said at 56:58, "Don't supress it, just lean away from it..." I thought you had do dive into the emotion and fully accept it instead of shifting your experience to another object. Because he always said that it is a blessing to experience these triggers so we can use them as a vehicle to free ourselves from the underlying emotion. But is shifting your attention to something else not also a form of avoidance?

    • @SeatsofContemplation
      @SeatsofContemplation  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I think when he says lean away from it, he means lean away with your mind. Don't let your mind and thoughts dive into it. And don't shift your attention to something else because like you said that would be avoidance. Instead center your attention on the Seat of Self and allow it to pass through.. You're right about the emotion part too, Mickey always says to fully feel the emotions by allowing them.

      I had the same to.... what I think is , to see the emotion, clouds, isseu etc from a distance.... from awarnes... dont follow it, and then a way or a tip to do it, is to say mantra if it helps you to stay in more distence, so that you dont become youre emotion, thought etc, and you can relax more to let it go, to let it flow through you

      You are focusing your attention from being inside of it to observing the same thoughts and emotion, but observing from the outside.
      If you get good at fasting…one thing you learn to do is not suffer inside the hunger but be able to observe the hunger itself as almost a separate entity and you are seeing it or studying it..calmly…
      This is my interpretation of course!

      @@anonymerdude4501When You relax, you're not doing with an intent to push away emotions. Stay with it, observe it as Observer. Don't push away emotion, know that emotion is present and you are noticing it.. emotion will pass through. Like people say the way handle quick sand, relax is counter intuitive but it saves than fight and get sunk. Hope it makes sense

    When a negative samsara comes up I am confused as to what to do. Do you lean away and redirect your consciousness to a mantra or something else. Is that not suppressing it. Or do you feel it and relax and breath . Or can you do one or the other .

  • @Regina25655
    @Regina25655 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Can someone explain the difference between not going there and suppression? So let’s say some real pain starts to surface, do you distract? Or is that just suppression?

    • @SeatsofContemplation
      @SeatsofContemplation  หลายเดือนก่อน

      If pain starts and you distract yourself by having other thoughts, then you are avoiding the pain. So, yes, that's suppression. What Mickey says to do is to center yourself in your seat of Consciousness. You are the Consciousness that is watching this body, heart and mind experience pain. Become aware that you are this Consciousness and just rest there. Allow the pain to happen, but don't focus on it. Focus on your seat of Consciousness.
      Hope that was helpful.

    • @SeatsofContemplation
      @SeatsofContemplation  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, it would. Don't ignore it. That would be suppression. You allow it to be without feeding it your attention. So if it's something that is painful, you fully feel the pain, but you don't think about the pain. You allow it to be in the background. It will eventually pass and it will be gone for good. It may take some practice. That's why he suggests starting with the small things. Hope this helps!

      Jai Guru Dev, Jai Masters. Jai Guru Dev is a traditional Hindu phrase that means Glory to the Great Teacher (the most accurate translation would be glory to the shining remover of darkness), where the great teacher here is generally considered to be the Divine Soul, while we, as human beings, are considered the individuated Soul. Jai Masters means Glory to the Masters, some of whom Singer refers to at times.

    • @SeatsofContemplation
      @SeatsofContemplation  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If negative things are happening right now, learn how to release them and not store them inside. Process them in real time. First, notice when it is happening. From your Seat of Consciousness you can observe that something unpleasant is happening outside and you can watch your reaction to it. Remain in your Seat of Consciousness. Don't let your awareness get lost in the disturbance. Relax your body and lean away from the disturbance inside you. Allow emotions to come up. Feel them and allow them to flow through you. Don't push them down. Release the disturbance.
      It won't be easy at first, especially when you've got somebody in your face, but each time you are able to remain in the Seat of Consciousness, even if only for a few seconds, it helps tremendously.
      Listen to this minute or so (40:41) where Mickey talks about hanging out with the One who sees rather than with what is being seen. It's beautiful.

    Why do people seek the ENERGY of GOD who IS THE SOURCE of all power and all things perfect...Yet refuse to accept the PERSON of GOD personified through "Jesus Christ" whos IS the fullness of God in bodily form? How would you like it if people piggyback your energy without getting to know YOU on a personal level or as a friend?

      Listen to Michael and you will learn that there is consciousness and objects of consciousness.
      Whatever is not consciousness is an object of consciousness.
      Jesus is an object of consciousness.
      Buddha is an object of consciousness.
      We do not have a little Jesus or Buddha in our consciousness, since it something external that the belief is experienced through the mind with the 5 senses, thoughts are from the mind.
      The energy that Jesus and Buddha represent are concepts until it is experienced at the level where what is experienced is the consciousness that everything in the material world is from the same source.
      As Michael says “My Father and I are one.”
      One consciousness.
