    Thanks for the video . I pleasure sail (single hand) a Catalina 22, have never raced, but a lot of this is in alignment with what I've picked up, plus intuition(flat boat!) I have a buddy, (6'8")single hands a precision 21 and he thinks sailing is his whole body wailing on that poor tiller and showing his keel. We each have fun, just different ways.

      Doug is the current fastest most efficient Catalina 22 sailor in the fleet. He knows what works and what does not work. I am so glad that he allowed this dockside chat to be recorded. Once you have a basic understanding of rig tune this seminar helps fill in the rest of the information so that wether racing or cruising you can do so efficiently. Even when I am cruising it seems like I am always beating to weather for the next anchorage. Being able to get there fast with minimal heel means more time around the campfire on the beach and more comfort for the crew.
