Edgerunners was surprisingly fantastic. What a horrifying beautiful anime
The thing that always stand out to me both about the game and anime is how raw the stories are despite the presentation being absolutely stunning. No miracles to save the characters, no magical love blossoming in the wastelands, just fked up stories in a fked up setting.

If the movie came out before the first cyberpunk table top game in the 90ies I would even say he could have served as an inspiration, i.e. powerful man that is backed by higher ups and can do what he wants and sometimes is cruel to prostitutes. It’s not gonna happen unfortunately. Trigger almost never does follow up seasons, not to mention the story was pretty conclusive.

I honestly wish I could understand.
The ending was spoiled for me before I even heard about the anime. I knew that it would end in tragedy, so I found it hard to even attempt at watching it. For this kinda depressing ending to hit me, I'd have to be caught off guard like Your Lie in April. Knowing ahead of time just ruined the experience.

The song came on after Claire and I won the badlands race and I asked for a ride home. Needless to say i didn't skip the ride.
This series was too good to exist but the end just crushes your heart into pieces
