I am a cabinet guy. As far as design(handle placement etc) there are no rules. Every "designer" is different. The good ones will listen to your ideas or concerns and the bad ones won't. Always talk to the client. They're the ones who have to live their lives with the decisions...
VERY detailed extension - I like it, but it definitely creates a lot of stuff that I personally didn't need for visualization. Still a cool tool though
Hey Justin and anyone that reads this. If you are serious about cabinet design you may have heard of Cabinet Vision. Well "F" that. CV is super expensive. One of the creators, created Mozaik. All of the cabinets are created using SU to view and create the cabinets. Once you apply the SU option then you can go to town with SU model to add anything you want just like normal to create a model. This software is what I use at a cabinet shop I freelance with. It will create assembly sheets, drawer and door orders. They must have got with someone at SU to create all these cabinets in the software to use either way, with or without SU modeling. It's currently $95.00 a month if you are an avid cabinet designer or maker.
Great video as always, Justin. I wanted to ask you something, please. I am ventruing over into rendering and I am using Twinmotion and Unreal Engine. I am not sure if this is an issue in other rendering softwares like VRay, but when I use the Flip tool in Sketchup, the materials come out as black in Twinmotion. Then to fix it, I need to go back into Sketchup, explode the entire group or componet, then regroup or re-component the geometry. 95% of the time this works. Is this something you know of and perhaps know of a way to avoid it? Thanks. 😄
I don't really know - MAYBE something to do with face orientation, but I'm speculating wildly - I've not had this particular issue - th-cam.com/video/Y3kJlaXiNcA/w-d-xo.html

Thank you for this.
It's like you've built cabinets before!
Lol - only digitally :)

Why would you call it a "pull"? Wouldn't it be easier to call it a cabinet handle??
A pull is the actual technical name of that piece of hardware. Handle is not.
