tips 31. you can hide rest of your model when editing 1 group or component by making a custom shortcut in window > preference>shortcuts>view/component edit/hide rest of model, then assign your keyboard shortcut in right column. Very helpful when you want to edit object inside another object, i.e furniture
Thanks Justin. Appreciate the time you put into helping the SketchUp community! I was wondering if you or anyone else has issues with SketchUp 2023. I ended up uninstalling and going back to 2022. I had issues with SketchUp to layout. Probably not the right place to ask, but I couldn’t find anyone complaining about it.
#9 was one I really needed! Been using Sketchup for an embarrassing amount of time to not know this LOL. Curious, when dealing with windows and doorways, going from 3D views for renderings to a view like what you show in #9, how do you switch from having a solid header over a door/window for 3D view/rendering purposes, to the traditional floorplan style as you have here in #9. Do you build the portion of wall over the door both ways and use scenes to turn tags on and off, or are those traditional architectural plan markings something that can be added to the top of the wall in Layout? Thanks Justin. This video has been super helpful as always!!!
By far the most comprehensive learning I've done in 14 minutes!!!! Justin, gotta have a class. This continues to expand my knowledge, just today this and your video on soap skins (not to mention Fredo) has improved me 100 fold!!!
I have the pro version 2024, but where are all of these wonderful line items in the default tray? My drawing slows down so much that it will crash/Bug Splat if I try to move it too fast.
Great bunch of tips. Some of this doesn't work for me as I am on Mac. Particularly the navigation stuff. Can't find colorize for the materials tip either. If anyone knows where it is please let me know. Currently I have to open PhotoShop to change the colour of materials.
Hi everyone! Let me know if your favorite tip made the list in the comments below! :)

Why have PDF files not been imported and exported yet?
I don't understand the question
@@Thesketchupessentials What I mean is why pdf files are not listed for export or import with the new update ?!
@@AZIZXPX. I don't think they were listed at least for import in the previous version either. Usually for export you would use Layout.
