One more series to look forward to! I like the progression over the years from simply shooting pests and critters to graduate level courses on ballistics. Each video gets better and better so they'll make a great doctoral thesis. Keep learning and sharing the fun!
Professor Dubber all your information is important to me, you have taught me so much. I can certainly see the connection between the center fire and air rifles. Always interested in all your offerings. Looking forward to getting my FX Crown so I can put to work what you have taught me. There is also no apology needed I'm sure we are all grateful for all you give to the airgun community.
My experience is with centerfire rifles and I'm just starting to get interested in air rifles. I think a lot of things from reloading for precision rifles will apply to airguns. Sorting brass by case capacity, powder charges trickled and measured to the hundredth or thousandth of a grain, sorting bullets by hundredth or thousandth of a grain, consistent seating depth and neck tension. That can all be applied by using an accurate/consistent regulator and using high quality projectiles that are sorted by diameter and weight among other things will drastically improve consistency, I think. I know these videos have been around for a while, but I'm enjoying them.
Amazing work Matt.! I cant wait to watch and hear what you have learned about external ballistics and please go into extream detail about what you have learned.
Thanks,,, your presentations are so good, I would watch them even if I weren't interested. .. Anything that improves my ability to hit the target is worth my time... I know enough to know that I don't know enough. Keep em comming, I need to fill my brain bucket. .. Thanks again...
Really looking forward to this series. And I am mainly a centre fire person, my air rifle was for screwing around and practicing off-hand down the hallway with mums cookbooks. But I would love a pcp.
As someone who has worked full time in external ballistics and the aerodynamics of all types of gun launched projectiles for nearly 40 years I am looking forward to this series. I have also studied the aerodynamics and ballistics of pellets for the last 20 years as a natural extension of my work. One thing which is slightly worrying is the mention of drag stabilisation. Contrary to popular belief, I know of no airgun pellets which are drag stabilised. To produce drag stabilisation you would need to have a parachute, ribbon or flexible tail behind your pellet. The conventional diablo shape is not drag stabilised, it is flare stabilised and flares do not stabilise by drag. They use lift, produced by the flare, to move the aerodynamic centre behind the centre of gravity which is what produces the stability. Please tell me you are not going to repeat that basic mistake.
+Miles M Thanks Miles! You clearly know more about this than me. I will be more careful with my terminologies moving forward. I understand the concept, but didn’t word it properly.
Thanks, Matt. I'm looking forward to your external ballistics discussion, in particular what you have learned about pellets (air bullets?) with superior sectional density and BC when compared to traditional diabolo designs. Keep up the good work! Jess
So glad you’re going to study and present your findings to us on this subject. I find it so frustrating that Airgun pellets are restricted generally to no faster than roughly 950fps and become unstable and inaccurate when faster. I do hope pellet manufacturers sponsor you to do this in-depth research to finding the best ballistic coefficient projectile for airguns. Good luck, I’ll be following.
My favortie channel keeo it up man. You prolly already thought of this but pellet weight varitons make a big difference in accuracy. I would like to see you work your magic on thag topic. Thank matt keep up the good work man!
Matt in this series u r bringing back could you do a video where you show all your gear and how to use them? Would be very useful to me because I just started hunting and shooting, I think it would be good for other hunters just starting to shoot centre fire rifles. Cheers
Great timing! I discovered and watched the rest of the series 2 days ago. Fantastic information so far. Also given your in-depth understanding of how accuracy is affected by various components have you ever considered designing your own gun, even for just yourself?
Yes, more airgun stuff please! It's what made me subscribe after all. I don't mind the fire arms videos, but they are just not my thing. Can you please "force awaken" the dove hunting?
Some of us as target shooters are very interested in the ballistics explanations your series explains, but I'm completely against killing animals for sport. Please do not mix the content or at least put a warning at the start of such graphic videos.

YAY!!!! Reloading series!!!! Great video as always Matt!
Yes! I love your technical stuff. I can't wait. Your tech videos are the places I learned the most out of this sport.
Amazing work Matt.! I cant wait to watch and hear what you have learned about external ballistics and please go into extream detail about what you have learned.
Thank you so much Matt! I can't wait! i have learned so much from your videos that have helped me in the field

No worries Matt. If I can be of any help on projectile (pellet) flight anytime please just say.
Have learned much from your videos, keep up the effort, you are advancing the sport!
Hell yeah Matt! I’ve been looking forward for this series since a very long time. Keep them coming mate!

Good on ya Matt! Can't wait to watch this series!
Can you do a video on what's the best gun to do competition shooting and hunting.
Matt, it would appear that we are now in the time of the “slug”.
Is there and update of this part8 (&9) of AB101 for slugs?
Matt, what exactly is it that gives some air rifles beter longrange capability than others?
come on Matt..... its beena while... still no external ballistic video... hope you do it soon😓👍😀
What is the mobile phone app you use for your scope ie wind angle holdover ?
Sounds great
Hi I wanted to start small game hunting and want to know if the crosman 1322 was a good starting pistol
good video matt my interesting pellet nsa slups 22 how is it going well, also far away?
+Steyr lg 110 Going well so far! Got some hunting videos coming up with them.

Noise dam too high. Disgusting introduction music
