Wow. So many FS202 videos use 20 minutes to explain flight level change. I love the practical approach and information density. I just wish I was good enough to absorb it all. I am only learning the G1000, but I would really love both a keyboard and the route browsing and editing tools on this plane.
I thought I was getting to grips with the FMS in the CJ4, 5 minutes into this video I realise I know nothing! So much more available, I read somewhere the Working Title isnt required these days as apparently is was built into the standard build, but not sure those MEM buttons for the second MFD are functional, I'll try it out tomorrow as have wanted a way to check my route looks correct in advance by stepping through, cheers
Still impressed about your landings haha I might have to reinstall the latest CJ4 version, because I have a few things broken since the new world update.
Thank you for that wonderful video on a spectacular approach. I'm still puzzled with the automatic or manual tuning. MAN in blue kind of means that this is the active mode while in white would be non active. But I see the switch over to the ILS display in the background even when MAN is in blue. What am I missing?
Thanks! To get the plane to autotune the ILS frequency you only need to load the approach and enter the terminal area (TERM) which is an imaginary 30 nm ring around the airport. The MAN/AUTO modes aren't connected to the autotune feature for approaches. The AUTO mode just means that every 6 minutes the radio will search for the nearest VOR and tune to it; it's meant to supplement the GPS with position reports so the GPS doesn't lose alignment during flight. MAN mode will just stay on the frequency that's already there. It can definitely get confusing :)
Help! I’ve flown an ILS approach with this aircraft a few times, but now it’s not allowing me to intercept the glide slope. I’m not getting the Localizer needle or even the glide slope indicator. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?
What is this?! With this kind of workload/head burried into the FMS for minutes, what would happen in darkness & an AP-failure as a single pilot...? A sure way to the boneyard... Absolutely insane that one can NOT setup an ordinary ILS/VOR/DME/NDB approach the way it always had be done up till now?! Why?

Your videos are always very helpful, thank you for taking the time to make and share them. Good flights!
Thank you very much!
Wow!
Excellent video and superb practical presentation of a quite complicated system. I really appreciate it a lot. Thanks
Just started working with the CJ4. Excellent video. I will check out your others now.

Nice in-depth tutorial!
Thank you for your instructional video
excellent video. thank you.

haha thanks!
1:23 18:44 the missed approach point on the ILS is Decision Height, not the VDP (at 1:23) DME.

Nice Video! Very helpful. Is there anyway for me see an ETA for my destination airport? Can only seem to find one for the next waypoint. Cheers
Yup, either the progress page in the FMS or on the flight plan page of the upper menu of the MFD
Is there a button to arm the speed brakes in the cj4?
There is not, they are only manual control.
