A truly amazing tool, it just needs 1 extra feature to be perfect for people like myself who keep as many apps off the OS partition as they can for security and maintenance reasons... if only there was a way to change the install target parent folder to another partition it would be perfect, its much quicker and easier to back up and or restore a 40GB partition than a 2 TB partition crammed full...
I have tried using CTT iso creator, it works well on the virtual machine but not really well on primary machine. It gives me weird problems which I never encounter in virtual machine, and frequently gives me BSOD or reboot for no reason. Virtual machine works fine without any problem though. However I would just go with clean install with world region settings and uses CTT tool to debloat the windows 11. It works very well without the need to custom ISO windows with very minimum background processes.
I saw your video about those custom OS, looks like 74 processes is on pair with ReviOS and FPS about the same I think. This tools is much more easy and flexible to use... Good work Chris and thanks nice review Dan!

i will admit the CTT is great but with a little more effert you can install windows iso with the world region setting and a bit of work youll get your background processes down to something between 59 - 67 without his tool. you also know for sure exactly what has been done to your OS when you do it the way i debloat my iso's..
@@NotroDan The world folder saves loaded chunks, which obviously will change your fps since you're (potentially) not loading the same information on every benchmark. Find the seed on the world download and just regenerate it on every benchmark for more consistent and realistic results
I used this tool to make a simple win 11 install leaving defender and edge on - used rufus to make the usb so I could get this installed on my potato pc and I used the “world” option when installing - after installing I launched this tool again just for the ultimate power option - final install was just 19gb and normally it’s 27gb+ - really nice and easy - not sure if I want to run the tweaks cuz I don’t like that many of the options gets locked out or what it does! About 110 processors running without the tweaks
I think you explained it very well! But I also have to say that you look pretty cute! I subscribed to you and I'm excited to see what you do next time.👍😁
So on the updates tab you said it won't work on windows 11 home, but chris never said that and i watched everything on this tool, is that definitely the case.
For those that talking about other people that makes there own isos and share them, I personally wouln't install any ISO that someone else made, as long I don't know the person in life. You have no idea what that person have put on that ISO and what he/she may install in the future when he has some grudge about something. Make the ISO your self with the tools that are availible. Also if you have a computer connected to the internet and/or load stuff on that use a AV. You can't trust people or organisations on the internet sadly, if they feel bad about someone they can go long way to destroy those and everybody in between. Have a nice day everybody.
As far as I see it Microwin is currently more of a testing thing. I think chris titus said he will improve on microwin (microwin isnt his project). I can install a normal bloated iso and using only the toolbox I can get it from about 130/140 to less than 70. And from 3gb ram to about 1.6
I'm not recommend that since the process that atlas keep (on task manager) is similar with what chris titus do (in term of how many services active there when idle)
Honestly I make my own stripped down ISO's that are stripped of all things I don't need. I am guessing the intent of Chris's tool is to reduce the telemetry and footprint of a windows install, without breaking any functionality. I think this is a good simple option for people beginning the custom ISO journey, but yes I do wish it stripped out the preinstalled bloatware. I know for me I have made my own ISO's using MSMG Toolkit and NTlite and I have had experiences where I have had to restart/remake the ISO because I stripped out things that bricked functionality that I needed. I do hope Chris creates an advanced version of Microwin in the future. What I wish even more is that Microsoft would make a better more advanced installer that gives you the option of what you do and don't want installed. For instance it could have a checklist with things like "Do you intend to use a printer?" "Do you intend to use intend to use a web cam?" "Do you intend to have your computer on a home network" and so on, then only install the components needed for those to operate, but leave it as an option to download those features in the future if needed. Windows has so many functions that have been added over time, many which are not ever needed by a home user. It all just adds to the overall bloat.
hi there, since u said u build ur own custom ISOs would you by any chance know how I can build an ISO that has all my CURRENT apps installed ? so when i reinstall it on same machine( in case my hdd has any problems ) it would be like i installed the same system without having to redownload the updates and reinstall the apps, i can't seem to find a tool to do this , and the " norton ghost " image doesnt seem to work for me , i am on windows 10. ur help would be appreciated if u could point me to any apps/videos where I can learn this

Hey Notro! It'd be really nice if you could include all the good tools and things you need for the best performing Windows in one video.
I've done them in the past but they are probably outdated by now, custom operating systems are great since they do it all for you I would choose Atlas or Revi. But making a debloated ISO then using the CTT is a great option too
Any idea how to fix this. I created a microwin iso for windows 11 but clicked windows pro. When I tried to launch the iso on my desktop it’s asking for a product key. There is very small chance it will break search, didn't believe it until it happened to me
You might have done another tweak that broke search, Edge :
1- has an Uninstaller but it's blocked
2- is uninstall blocked by a single registery
it'll break windows copilot and search, but stuff like that won't cause major issues.
