AM I BUILDING A LAMBO KILLER CIVIC?!
Super stoked to finally be getting everything together for my 600hp AWD Turbo Honda Civic Car build!
This video we get my 500hp Turbo D Series ripping on the street, and mate my TSX k24a2 to the AWD k series CRV transmission. Also hooking up the clutch and laying out the driveshaft and rear diff to get an idea of how everything is looking!
Who else has been around long enough to watch Carson grow up? Every time the girls show up it cheers me up. 🙂

I’ve never been a Honda hater, I always liked Integras and NSX’s and stuff. But I never got the Honda tuning fandom...Until now. Since the civic build started, I think I get it now. Now I’m stoked on them, you even got me watching the boosted boys now too. Cheers Trev.

To me there's a difference between Honda *guys* and Honda *kids.* Honda guys actually build their cars and know how to make them fast. They and their builds have earned my respect and praise. Its the Honda kids with their shitbox stock except for a cold air intake, primer color body kits, obnoxious spoilers, sticker laden ricers that I and everyone else hate and shit on.

You need to get Hayden to fab your exhaust manifold. His work is top notch and they look great on a k series

This build is great fast, cheap (arguable now) and fun to watch. The speed vs. cost is what makes Hondas interesting. Although it's a pick 2 scenario with Fast / Cheap / Reliable. Anything that's that fast normally is. It will be cool to see how the build now with some $$ thrown in will turn out.

Honda 4 bangers definitely do turn some people off with them being so cheap and widespread, but the K series engines are the undisputed kings of 4 cylinders. The availability, reliability, and aftermarket support is really only topped by LS engines, depending on where you're at. SR, KA, EJ, MZR/Ecoboost... not even close. The only other block that can compete would be a 4G, but you've already got that covered too now lol
I gotta say, it was nice seeing you work with some new faces from time to time. They are cool friends and that Integra was nice. 👍

I feel like iv waited decades for youtube car channels to shine light on honda's THANK GOD. I just want to thank you the boosted boiz and even shanks and whoever else is building a honda on their page. I FINALLY have something i can relate to and yes my dream cars a supra and i KNOW ill never own one since the new supra came out it's harder to find mk4 ateast in GA unless people just haven't posted them lately which again i blame the new supra but yea my dream car is a mk4 but for now ill stick to my broke down for almost over two years ek civic. I don't really know what i was getting at with the ending part of this comment but i said it anyways which then again long story short i respect every make and model and love to see what people do with their builds. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK MAN.
Oil drain should go to the front of the pan and high as possible. All the oil moves to the back during acceleration.

Just something about the k20 that puts a smile on my face. I enjoy mine. Mostly stock but at some point it will become a project and I will have something else to daily drive.

Sooo true about the Honda thing I myself have always been an American muscle guy all ls and LT base builds the last 2 years I started paying more attention to Honda builds and things of that sort like the boosted boi channel and I can honestly say iv gained a lot of respect for the Honda community in general and now I want to build my own little k series build! Lol

Ive been into Hondas since i was 14, so thats going on *eek* 30 years... There's a lot of them i don't even like lol... They are easy to find, easy to work on, and you can do a lot of "junkyard" tuning with them and a lot of kids get hella ego's bc they threw shit together and can half-ass it and still have it work. But if you get the guys who know what they are doing and take the time to build one properly, they can be a formidable platform. IDK, I love and respect a lot of cars, Honda's are just what stuck.
I am stoked on this build because it is something different and unique.
cheap builds or poorly modified Honda’s are what cause most of the hate.
I recently spent 3 months looking for a clean 93 hatchback to build another K car off of and man the amount of mix matched color car's with ebay stuff was insane.

Getting lapped by a car that has 5k$ invested is 99% of the hate. Lets not tell stories. I just picked up another ep3. It was hacked...but its all simple stuff..the dealship can order me oem parts cheaper than ebay.
Let's not forget the typical Honda driver. Lots of valid reasons for the hate, but all of that aside its amazing what you can do with Hondas. 👍🔥🔥🔥

When was Colt in 4/9? I was right next door in 2/23 at Fort Lewis from 2012 until like 2014 around the time 4th brigade shut down, then I was in 2/23 in Carson.

Man i remember when it was my plan to make my 96 ej8 a awd d series monster using wagovan parts..adding the rear diff and drivline and axles and such honestly help the balance of the front heavy chassis. This is awsome man good work forsure

OMG i have been thinking of doing this exact thing to a classic mini, I know MINITEC in the USA have already done and sell all the subframes needed but i didnt think you could use the K20 as the gearbox is different i hope i am wrong iv just started watching this vid so hope it will shed some light on what i will need to do a 4x4 classic mini with the K20 turbo using the clubman front-end for more room cheers guys SCOOBS UK.

I saw your comment and laughed. I hate hondas because in my eyes they are ugly as shit. I did body repairs on late 90's hondas and they felt like they were made of tinfoil. Also as a mechanic these cheap pieces of shit cost more in parts than they are worth.
I can appreciate a fast car like anyone one else, however front wheel drives are only good for going to the supermarket and I know as we have a people mover for just that. Also I have owned a lot of toyotas and Corollas and they are way more reliable than any Honda ever built

I'm excited as hell over this build. This will be my next build! I'm just finishing my mr2 spyder build. I used the jdm dc5 k20A drive train. Coil overs, dyno tune,corner balance and it's ready to daily! Rock on to all Honda fans! Bikes included!!

I was in the street race scene when every fart can Honda with a NOPI sticker started popping up everywhere. Had ZERO respect for them. Times have changed and 1 ride in a turbo k Honda hatch was enough to convince me to take the 3.8sc out of my 1988 Fiero GT and slap a turbo k24a2 in its place.

Are you able to tune how much power goes to the front and rear wheels separately with this setup?
thats why i dont run comp clutch they all blow up or go bad within weeks of driving and not racing i have been running the SAME 6-puck unsprung ACT clutch for 15 years with no issues
