    Hello I would like to ask about a stone I bought lately. It’s natural round blue sapphire 3.2crt. From seri Lanka. I have noticed that the stone changes the colour dramatically from royal blue-vivid blue - medium blue- blue violetish - purple blue to purple.
    The stone under UV light it’s Fluoresces strong red as if it’s ruby.
    The colour changes dramatically depending on the lighting resource and the day time
    indoor - outdoor.
    Sunrise - sunset.
    Cloudy day - clear sky.
    Direct sun light- day light in shadows.
    Night lighting. Room lightings.
    Yellow lighting- white lighting.
    This information on the certificate of authenticity. information about the stone:
    - Stone quality AAA.
    - weight 3.21 carats.
    - round faceted cut. 8.9mm. Depth 5.37.
    - primary colour: blue.
    - colour density: medium.
    - colore saturation: intense.
    Transparent.
    Inclusion: very light.
    Cut quality: very good.
    Do you have any idea about this kind of fenomeno?
    Does this fenomeno effect the value, and in which way?
    thank you very much

    • @Imagesjewelers
      @Imagesjewelers  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +O MOSA sapphire can have some fluorescence, but its normally not strong. See this article by Richard Hughes. It is possible you have a synthetic stone, i.e. spinel, or a high temperature heat treated sapphire, but you need a preponderance of evidence to determine what the material is exactly. www.rubysapphire.com/heat_seeker_uv_fluorescence.htm
      If your stone is fluorescing an orange color it could also be sapphire, it is just more common to see a chalky fluorescence in heat treated sapphire.

    Sir people wear Gem because to obtain good benefits such : Good health , wealth , happiness , Prosperity, wisdom, business boost, luck and so many of Gems to us , Some wearing Gem for beauty which does benefits us. Normally Gem should wear as natural Unheated/Untreat Gem instead of heated. Heated does not give Proper benefits because it has been modified by heating , Heating process to make the Gem more beauty not to get more benefits , No point wearing a Gem has been heated , if you does ( sorry to say it ) may ended in problem by nature , Furthermore Wearing Gem on ring , the Gem should touch the Skin , Then you see the benefits reaching smoothly , Some wearing it , the Gem is not touching our skin which that is not the suppose the way..... Blue sapphire Gem should not apply on Gold RING , it should apply on Silver or white gold. Other Gems like Emerald, garnet, Yellow Sapphire ( you can put it in gold ) , Diamond and Blue sapphire must apply on white gold or silver. For low cost budget they can applied on Copper. ( if copper less benefits )

    • @KaeganThornhillTheCyberRaven
      @KaeganThornhillTheCyberRaven 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Each of the rings shown would cost over $1200.
      And the super rare "Natural" sky blue Sapphire shown at the end would be over $6000 on account it's such a high CT.
      Edit: My best guess is the most expensive ring here cost somewhere of the ball park of $47,000.( if not more). On account it's over 8cts and not heated.

    • @krisushi1
      @krisushi1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KaeganThornhillTheCyberRaven Even if your prices are in US dollars, the heat treated and darker coloured rings would cost much more than that. The Diamonds alone would cost over $1200. I own a number of Sapphire rings of various colours and quite familiar with prices. I just don't like videos such as this who want to flaunt their wares without giving prices. It would be nice to at least know the comparison between them. Thanks for your reply anyway.🇦🇺

    • @KaeganThornhillTheCyberRaven
      @KaeganThornhillTheCyberRaven 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@krisushi1 I know what you mean and very well put.
      I simply said $1200 on account that's usually the "Cap" for how much a person wish to spend on a "Casual Ring" for their self and the $6000+ comment was to say that these rings are out of most people price range since they are all "Large" Sapphires.
      Heck a 2ct+ Snappier that is just a "Good" (AA Ranting) will set you back over $1500 and the ones shown are "Better" (AAA), "Best" (AAAA), and even "Heirloom" (AAAAA) Quality which nearly Doubles each rank you go up.
      So we're looking at $30,000+ Rings here in some of these cases. Plus it comes down to what type rare metal the Gem is placed in.
      Edit: Have to remember each of these Rings are over 4ct in weight and priced as "Custom"/"One of a kind" pieces of art.

    • @krisushi1
      @krisushi1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@KaeganThornhillTheCyberRaven That sounds more like it. It's about the price I go for too when splurging on a ring although I did go much higher for my Emerald. If they're going to make videos like this and show off their wares, they should at least tell us the price. I have a love for coloured gems and have at least seven different coloured Sapphires. Even if not in the market for a huge expensive Sapphire ring, I still like to keep up to date with prices. Have you seen the prices for Zircons lately? I was hoping for a larger Tsavorite but that can wait with prices this high. Usually everyone aspires to get a big white Diamond but I love the beauty of the colours found in nature. Although I did finally buy a Diamond ring at the beginning of the year. My jeweller has me listed as a VIP customer which is probably a warning that I need to taper off a little. I was never given jewellery as a gift growing up nor by my parents in adulthood. So I decided to make up for lost time. We all deserve to spoil ourselves with whatever makes us happy. The ring in the video that I actually liked the best was the very first one despite it being slightly darker. It's strange that they're showing off their latest purchases whilst stating that the two dark ones were not to their liking. If I walked around with the large natural one, no-one would believe it's real or they'll mug me to steal it. Can't win. I'm happy with what I've got now which is what counts. Sorry I misunderstood, my mind is still getting back into gear after being very ill and ending up in hospital on the weekend. Take care, Kris.🇦🇺💎

      @@krisushi1 Glad we were able to get on the same page and I wish you a speedy/full recovery.
      And yes, it's always nice to Splurge every once in awhile & treat one's self.
      Personally the most I have ever spent on a ring (for myself) was a little over $5,000. Also, congrats on becoming a VIP.
      And yeah some Gems have went up a lot in recent years on account they gained more popularity or a "New" type was found somewhere in the world. But once the trend settle down the prices will level out.
      Thou I'm glad to see alternative Gems gaining in popularity for rings/wedding bands.Dimonds are overhyped & becoming as common as grains of sands on a beach, plus with todays technology it's nearly impossible to tell a Heat treated, Natural, or even Man-made Gem/Diamond apart.
      Thou it's nice to have some of each in one's collection.
      Edit: (Sorry for the rushed reply. Currently getting ready for work & will clean it up latet. Have a wonderful evening Kris and happy collecting.)
