Thank you for your video! And also thank you the quick email response I received from you to confirm on my Sapphire stone, which was indeed Royal Blue! 💙
Sapphires are the most difficult gems to color grade. Lighting and the individual who is looking at them with their particular spectral range, and how the color banding of sapphire plays in their overall appearance, along with faceting and saturation...... But it sure is fun trying to categorize and describe the colors one sees and the way they affect each person differently. I kinda think those last 3 on the bottom right might be what we here in the Rocky Mountains would call "Montana Blue." Your videos are wonderful. Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge and expertise with us.
Thank you for a very informative video, the gems you used really make it clear where the cut-offs are for each colour. Keep making the videos they're great.
Excellent video, thank you. I love the wide range that you show and the high resolution and good video quality. You say that color is subjective but what I see and would describe is exactly what you describe! Thank you!
This was very informative! Thank you so much for uploading... I just bought a sapphire which is my birthday stone and always wanted one.. Because I ordered online I was suspicious that maybe it was glass but I am seeing now that no it is not glass and yes it is a sapphire ~ Yaaay! Thank you again :)
Thank you. This video is just to illustrate the colors of blue sapphire (some of them) - for checking authenticity of the sapphire - it is recommended to have it tested with a reputable gemlab.
Interesting, my Thailand Sapphire Stone doesn't look like any of the colour above, it looks grayish blue under warm yellowish light and vivid blue under daylight
Me i like the middle range, from left 1 and also 3 look amazing. The last 2 right are a bit to dark for me. Also vivid stones are most nice. A lot they sell are fake or treated.😒
I have a sapphire that looks less saturated lighter blue indoor and more medium vivid blue outdoors. Which lighting do you use to judge color? The cert called it royal blue.
yes its possible, i tried to cover as many variations of blue as possible, but it does matter on certain lighting conditions and the camera ability to show the blue tone correctly
Yes when bluesapphire with greenish tinch in it is a natural & non heated sapphire & can be from AUSTRALIA usually but some Cambodian blue sapphire has greenish finch too Greenish blue sapphire are very less in price than Royal blue colour sapphire . Best wishes to you from SRINAGAR KASHMIR
Need help determining a necklace I want to know if it's real sapphire I had got it from a lady that was 105 used to live in Germany England and France just passed away and I had bought the House for auction and this necklace was in it
I will go to Saudia Arobe. I want I have purses a natural Blue sapaire. Please give me some idea to purses a natural unheated untreated Blue shapare. Thanks
Yes if there are some inclusions inside the sapphire- with a 10X loupe or a microscope you can tell with the type of inclusions that the sapphire is heated or not.
@@vikasgandhi11 please make video about how to recognize australia, india, srilanķa,birma,or africa saphire if they are almoust same quality..i think this is will be good content.,.
Usually when the colour is royal blue or vived blue & 100% symmetrical colour in a loop 10 x & stone is clean & sparkling it can be heat enhanced. When stone is un even in colour or has patchs of colour & silk in the stone under 10 xl oop it can be natural colour or no heat treated. Usually heated stones are sparking & Gem trade we call them Electric Blue & non heated stones do not spark & has silk in it & colour is uneven or has colour bands in it Best wishes from SRINAGAR KASHMIR
Cornflower blue has slight purplish and warmer. Royal blue is deep blue, borderline cornflower blue but not as purplish. Pastel is light version blues. Everything else with cool tones is regular blue. 😂 That is what I understand.
An excellent kashmir sapphire is said to have a color that is Cornflower Blue. But they say that there is also a Kashmir sapphire whose color is the one of a peacock' neck. Is it right?
I think that Peacock neck is a general reference for describing a color- it is usually the in-between cornflower or royal blue (its the bight pure blue hue with vivid saturation).
@@vikasgandhi11 Thanks for the comment. It's very clear. Actually I have two sapphires that are from my deceased grand aunt. One looks like a royal blue sapphire. and the rest looks like a cornflower blue sapphire. Then is it possible for me to send photos of these sapphires to you and ask for your comment?
4:00 somewhere around this timestamp, the colour on the right size of this stone appears darker. why is this so? has it got to do with the cutting? it looks like is a vertical line segregating the lighter and darker parts
This is due to the light falling on the stone more from one side, sorry this is due to the lighting when the video was taken. The sapphire has even color distribution.
Why buyers always look for unheated stones. Heated stones are more lustful. Please explain the value between heated stones and unheated stones. According to my knowledge unheated stones are more easier to sell comparing to heated stones. But what i see is heated ones are very beautiful.
At the end you have to see if the inclusion bothering you and if it fits your budget / or you would like to go for smaller piece for similar price with better clarity. It's a personal preference then.
I just need some idea about the pricing of 5 carat/ratti Kashmiri blue sapphire with good royal blue like 1st in this video and size also like that one but unheated please reply sir
The best place to learn about pricing for Kashmir sapphires is to see the results of famous auction houses like Christie’s and Sotheby’s and Bonhams, etc.

They are really beautiful stones . Thank you for the video . Can you please put an estimate price for each stone ? Thanks again
there is no standardised pricing for the sapphires. It is very dependent on the color, clarity, shape, cut, market conditions, etc.
I'm ready for my closeup!
Very nice collection and good efforts to create awareness

Hi there, is a Ceylon sapphire ring has a minor inclusion in it , near its surface worth to buy ? ( I can see it with bare eyes)
At the end you have to see if the inclusion bothering you and if it fits your budget / or you would like to go for smaller piece for similar price with better clarity. It's a personal preference then.
Does color have effect on the quality?
yes, it should be a nice color and lively stone. if its too dark then the black tone overpowers the blue, thus looking more blacker.
Can we talk about the water sound affect
Yes sure you can email me your suggestions.
Is There all blue sapphires are original or Fake gemstones. . .
