Another cracking day out lads. You boys are giving me and my loon some ideas to try the next time we get out on the sib at Cruden as novice fishermen. It’s just a bit scary at times being out there on our own in a blowup boat, with very few other boats going about.
Thanks. Cruden Bay can fish well for flukes. Also worth looking at launching out of Stonehaven. You'd still get Mackerel in August and September off the point. Stay safe out on the sib or any small craft. Phil
Hi Tommo, the North East Scotland coastline is a wonderful place. Good mix of cliffs and sandy beaches and most of it deserted. Hardly ever see many yachts sailing about.
Great video Phil! Excellent audio and no 'plinky ploky' music (my pet hate), though Gordon's accent was a bit hard going for a Southerner! Tight lines - Dave. 🎣🎣👍👍
Thanks Dave. I agree about needless music and think the sounds of nature, birds, waves, wind or whatever should be the background sound. There are though some occasions when used with care appropriate music can add to the video. Thanks for watching. Hope the weather is better down south. Phil.
Great vid guys 🎣 …I’ve now got my own wee dream boat a spinner and soon as I finish working on it hope to be out catching again 🎣👍 I was watching your 10” wheel video and you said about going for a lower tyre pressure …it seems most problems with tyres is caused by low tyre pressure and the rubber walls heating up 🫨…why the manufactures work out the best tyre pressure and the bulge in the middle is for this reason 👍 I remember this from way back ……cheers
Hi, I looked at a few Spinners before I got the Coastliner. They are both well built boats. On the question of the tyres, for me I found the 8 inch had a hard time on our pot holed roads. The 10's seem to roll much better. The higher pressures of the 8's for me meant the centre tread worm out quickly. I felt they were too high and the reduction in pressure gave a better ride without heating up. All trailer tyres suffer from being parked in on place for long periods and UV damage. I used to have a pair of old wheels / tyres for sitting in the yard and swapped them for the new ones which I kept just for towing.
You tune into the Doric once you've lived up here a while. I'm trying to learn as much as I can, it's part of being here. Doric is the NE Scottish and most of the rest of Scotland doesn't understand it. Further north is Gaelic
Hi, agreed it is loud. The Reel is a new Leeda Icon 30 and believe it of not that is the off position. I need to dismantle it and see what can be done to stop the clicking.

Brilliant video Phil, well done and as usual thanks for sharing your adventures👍
Thanks Douglas, it was good to get back out on the boat. I'm sure there are better Plaice and Turbot to be found around these parts.
happy days lads brilliant !
Thanks. Can't beat being out on the boat.
@@anotherangleUK mint ain't it we should be out next weekend on our seahog trio we have the same engine as yours 20 tohatsu brilliant motor 👏
The Tohatsu is very economic to run. It uses less fuel than the old Mariner 15hp two stroke and it's way easier to live with.
Good luck next weekend, tight lines.
@anotherangleUK thanks matey 👍
Enjoyed the video guys loving the haddock don’t get them down this way. Look forward to the next one👍
Thanks 👍. The Haddock are a lovely eating fish. Gordon has some videos of his home made smoker on his channel.
@@anotherangleUK Cheers Phil I’ll check it out

Thanks, got to make the most of the weather windows. Last weekend was a thick Haar and not the place to be out in my wee boat.

@@anotherangleUK There should be a regular piece in the newspaper "Doric Column".
Kock the ratchet off on your reel
