Tbh, I prefer the Teen Titan's version of Killer Moth. He's still basically a joke character in terms of personality, but he looks tough enough to be a threat, despite barely being one...
With him, we finally get a villain with a personal life and see it overlap with his evil life. Honestly, I want more of that.
@@waynemidnight7454 Yeah, I much prefer his design in Teen Titans as well. 🤍
That's because he was whipped by his own daughter Kitten
You know, there is actually a theory that “The Batman” is actually a prequel to teen titans and they both take place in the matsudaverse instead of the timmverse.
So maybe killer moth is the same person in both shows. His mutation in Batman would explain why he looks and sounds the way he does in teen titans.
@@octo-generaljones8691 That's a very interesting theory 🤔
I love how balanced his character is. After the mutation,he's taken more seriously by those around him and is much cooler, but is still a dork that loses easily.
I wish he was taken more seriously like in the original comics, after all he is the original anti-Batman.
New costume, same gadgets.
Saving criminals during the day as a lawyer and helping them as a villain by night.
Actually in his early comic book appearances Killer moth was a legit threat. He was one of the first “anti Batman” characters and put the bat on the ropes a fair number of times
i do not know why they made him so fuzzy and gave him such cute manerisims...
im not complaining he is like "adorable scary"...
I think it a excellent example of killer moth, since he was always set up as a joke well until he mutated which made him into a terrifying monster (something that can happen with real moths) heck even killer croc, firefly and rag doll villians who wont easy threaten by anybody where absolutely hesitant to fight moth since well he can quite easily take em on.
Aslo i think the reason why moth was so loyal to penguin is due to penguin giving moth a chance to work for him, sure moth isnt the most powerful member but he giving the job as getaway driver, it likely moth try to work as a henchmen before working with the penguin, i mean if you can say you work with the penguin it gives you an excellent career start with the world of supervillains.
Moth in the end seems to have the best deal, he still retains his intellgence but has some added benefits, i think after he work with penguin in the heist he might begin his own career once he discover how useful his abilities are, and maybe work with penguin time to time.
From sidekick to sub-contractor: The Unorthodox Biography of Killer Moth.
This Killer Moth is different than every other interpretation I've seen. Even in Lego Batman he's just a normal guy with wings, so I like the way they went for this version of him.
@@BestManGamer You got a point there hah he was still cool in Lego Batman tho 😂
The mutation is inspired by something from the comics!
Back in “Underworld Unleashed”, the comic Killer Moth sold his soul to a demon and became “Charaxes”, a giant fucked up moth monster.
Nothin’ really came of it, though. He had a story or two, then died during Infinite Crisis.
I prefer this version, where he's unambiguously a schmuck even after his mutation. _Teen Titans_ tried to make him feel serious with his design and his second appearance, but it's hard to sell anyone as a threatening "bad guy" when his first scene is him getting manipulated by his own daughter to . . . seriously, get her a rebound date?
Would've liked a sequel appearance, though (say that a lot about the villains on this show). Maybe he tries finding honest work, and assumes that it's his criminal record holding him back and not the whole monster moth-man thing? I dunno, he just felt like a decent comedy character/villainous second-banana.
This version of Killer Moth is the Anti-Starscream. Not something you’d usually see.
He's only a joke without firefly tbh
I would love a Arkham Batman game with killer moth mutating into a literal moth that would make killer croc form a dynamic duo or any other human animal hybrids form a group of mutated human animal hybrids rogues gallery and not just that he sends his quote on quote children of killer moths to attack their enemies I want to see a boss fight with the character especially another boss fight of him becoming a literal giant killer moth
You don't have to type out "quote-on-quote," just use quote marks dude
@@ClarkKentai I know I only did that because it wouldn’t be confusing and without context
Killer Moth was mean to poor Silkie in Teen Titans and that's why Starfire adopted Silkie as her pet.
@@kaylaturnis9486 Silkie is a sweetheart 🤍
Oh my god i still have a figurine of him in my old toy box i loved this toy
Killer moth is one of Batman’s best villains he needs to be in Arkham shadow
in teentitans he makes like 3 more appetences i think, but the focus is more so on his daughter
I'm surprised that Killer Moth didn't change his name to Charaxes when he mutated into that monstrous moth form.
I like that you are reviewing the villains from The Batman 2004. Please do a video on Maxie Zeus next, he one of my favorite reinvented villains from the show
@@leopoldmaximus145 The next character I have planned to talk about is Man-Bat, but after that video, I'll be putting out a Poll with Maxie Zeus and Tony Zucco as the choices. 🤍
I always thought it was interesting how Killer Moth was bullied by the other and then mutated into some monster like thing, and not too long later, Firefly also mutates into a monster too. Team Penguin catching L’s.
Hes huggable
"Look out sir!" *smash*
lol.
Thanks for the vid again.
@-Ughly- I really wished he appeared in more episodes and his mutated design was awesome also Jeff Bennett was a perfect choice for this design as he gives him a wimpy and pathetic voice that no one can take seriously. But I hope that if they do bring back The Batman I hope the animation will still look the same and not look bad as Young Justice seasons 3 and 4.
@@angeldeleon1130 Dude, the early seasons of Young Justice were so good!
@@-Ughly- no I know that I wasn’t being rude I was just say the animation in season 3 and 4 the continuation of it like the quality of it changed and the character models changed too, sorry if I was being rude.
@@angeldeleon1130 Oh no, you weren't being rude at all. I was agreeing with the early seasons being great haha
@@-Ughly- thank you also I have to be honest I did not like the voices for some of the new characters they introduced in the new seasons like Orion Pax’s voice, Phantom Girl’s, Chameleon Boys, Terra’s, Halo, Geo-Force, Hawkman’s and some of those kid voices did not sound right to me.
Killer moth is DC version of Waspinator
I don’t really enjoy this killermoth cause it takes the stuff I don’t really enjoy about killer moth (like the mutation stuff) and goes w it. But it is nice to see my favorite dc character adapted anyways
I wish they kept the monster idea in the comic like he's always a monster like man bat
They’ve neverrrrr known what to do with Killer Moth, tbh. He’s a distinctly Silver age villains who nonetheless is iconic enough that he shows up again, but, like… What narrative role is he actually gonna fill?
An anti-Batman? We already have, like, five of those.
A fucked up monster guy? Plenty of those, too.
A weird bug catcher gimmick? That’s just kinda *dull.*
@@firetarrasque4667 is there other heros that fits him
@firetarrasque4667
You dont need a character to be unique when writing him, you can define him further after being introduced. Wasting a villain like this is just bad writing.
Off topic am i the only that thinks that killer moth and bizarro would be best friends just like batman and superman 😊😅
Wait, did the batman lead into teen titans?
who said that?
i think there are some videos that theorise about this, id say no though
he was so pathetic that when batgril beat him she looked at him ' waht a fuck just happened"?
That's exactly what happened with my version of Killer Moth. He was a nobody and everyone treated him horribly (including his own daughter) and he was believed that being a supervillain would earn him respect. He became a mutated monster like his 2003 cartoon counterpart after being exposed to the chemical gas he stole for the Penguin.
Hard to believe this is Kitten's old man
Who?
@@SlimyTheNekoslime a Teen Titans character and killer moth's daughter
@@SlimyTheNekoslime Kitten, a character from the original Teen Titans series
@SilverScribe85 honestly, Kitten seemed much more evil and violent than 2004 Killer Moth.
I’ve always wanted to have a Killer Moth show, I tried to think of episodes but I ended up never going far with it.
@@coneheadzigity What kinda show were you going for/wanting?
@@-Ughly- eeh, kinda just like a way to make “Batman should kill” guys happy with a character similar to Batman who does kill, even though they should just read punisher comics.
So a version of killer moth who idolizes Batman steals some chemicals to attract the bats attention is told he’s not going to join the bargain and decides so what I don’t need your approval I stole these chemicals and got away from the Batman! I’m awesome I’m going to sleep wakes up as a giant moth monster. Now I can be better than Batman! I’m gonna do what Batman could never do, make Gotham crime free by arresting lesser criminals and melting the no major ones alive. Everyone will sing my praises and chant Killer Moth!
We see Killer Moth pick some lesser criminals up and fly them ontop of roofs to give them a good talking to. Basically teen yourself in or else I’m gonna eat you young man. Then he melts a serial killer to death with his acid who’d been hiding from the cops for a while.
One of the pickpockets wants to be his sidekick to be his Robin. He accepts and we get Moth Boy. Who isn’t good for much, but kid wants to help so why not?
But then he melts like clay face with his acid, but clay face was playing dead and beats him half to death before he’s saved…. By Batman.
Killer Moth and Moth Boy have a heart to heart with the caped crusader. Entirely in character for how you’d write these characters of course.
That’s as far as I’ve got. What do you think? Is this what you had in mind?
He also appeared in 2003 teen titans.
Ngl being henchmen would be a pretty good gig, just can’t be caught slacking 😂
Can you talk about the time guy
@@Nixk-hr1mh Maybe eventually, yeah. I'm getting close to finishing the list of characters I had originally made for me to talk about. But I'm sure one day I'll come back to this show to talk about the rest of the characters 🤍
@@-Ughly- yeah the time guy is very under rated
