Another great video. I stayed here 2 years ago just for overnight but said I’d never go back. Seeing all the walks you did has made me rethink. You could do a sideline - Walks from campsites ;)
Hi Chris, We always try to see and do as much as we can local to a site, weather permitting. We did try a part two out and about a while back but it failed to attract views. This is why we incorporate the site and surrounding area in one video now, in short sharp clips so it doesn’t get too boring 😂. Thanks for dropping by again, much appreciated, Rob & Gail 😀
Hi Rob. Well who would have known. Juliet is a big Northern Soul fan she used to go to all nighters back in the 80's, I am more into electronic and industrial music myself. North East is on our radar. The wheels looked awesome. Durham seems to have some great places to visit. Thanks Phil & Juliet .🙂👍
Hey keep the faith Juliet ✊Great to see the N.S. scene still alive and kicking on the many videos posted on TH-cam, with a new generation of dancers too. Shame the weather shortened our sight seeing week but Rob’s enjoying keeping his wheels clean 🧽! Thanks very much for watching. Gail & Rob 👍
Interested to see this video Rob. We’ve booked a night at Durham Grange, purely as a one night stop over on our way to Scotland. It’s location alongside the A1 will be perfect for us. Thanks for sharing. Dave & Helen 👍
Hi Dave & Helen, Lucky you off to Scotland. We’ve yet to venture there with the caravan, so looking forward to seeing where you stay. Happy travels, all the best, Rob & Gail
Enjoyed the vlog as ever Rob. Bonus getting the wheels done - apart from the cost but they looked great. Glad you survived the storms - I expected to see you snow bound given the bad weather they had up in the NE. Look forward to your project vlog 👍🏻
Thank you Howard and pleased you enjoyed the video. Although we endured wet weather and Storm Dudley plus having to return home earlier than planned, getting my wheels restored put a big smile on my face. Final few bits left to do on my project so watch this space. Very best wishes, Rob
Durham Grange seems quite popular for stop overs. At least you know about the wheel specialist for next time Pete! Thank you for watching and all the best. Rob
Glad to see you back pal,not sure if you have been but we have just come back from bridge house marina in garstang and it is simply amazing and they have just opened a state of the art shower block with underfloor heating and it even has a bath, fully serviced pitch’s £27 per night for February, I can highly recommend it to you
Thanks very much Shaun, just had a look at Bridge House Marina site and yes it’s our cup of tea. Serviced pitches are staggered which is good. Will put it on our to do list as we’ve booked all our trips for this year. Best regards, Rob
That Rose window was beautiful. Why on earth didn't you take the tow cover off ? It wouldn't take too long to dry off. Could have left it in the bag fir a couple of days
Hi there Linda, The stained glass and the different window designs in Durham Cathedral were stunning. All the carvings were elaborate too, well worth seeing 👍. Ah, the towing cover, we didn’t sit there without a view, honestly ! I put it back on to dry whilst we did the site tour and it didn’t take long to dry. Thank you again for tuning in and sticking with us 😀 Our very best regards, Rob & Gail
Ha ha, always on the lookout for those dreaded potholes. Good to hear from you Andrew and hope you are well. Thanks for tuning in and all the best, Rob
Thanks for tuning in Philip, pleased you enjoyed the video. All our videos are filmed using an iPhone X, and I used a cheap wireless microphone on just two of my videos. Just bought a new microphone and will be showing it on my next video (out tomorrow). Cheers Rob
Hi Mark, Yes it’s the A6 allroad Quattro. I’ve been towing with it for nine years and with its self levelling adaptive air suspension it makes an ideal tow car. Thank you for watching. Cheers Rob
To be fair Storm Dudley howling through the trees was far noisier than the A1, but for anybody wanting to hear just bird song, this isn’t the ideal site. Thanks for tuning in, Cheers Rob

We are booked here later this month, so your vid was useful, we watched it again, cheers!
I stayed there last year on my way down from Scotland... I wish I knew about the wheel specialist there.

Enjoyed the video Rob, we mostly use serviced pitches. What video camera and microphone do you use? It seems very good.

Hey Rob, nice video. Noticed your tow truck in this video, is it the all wheel drive Audi Estate?
Hi Mark, Yes it’s the A6 allroad Quattro. I’ve been towing with it for nine years and with its self levelling adaptive air suspension it makes an ideal tow car. Thank you for watching. Cheers Rob
Awful site may as well park up in a layby on the A1
