  • The sentencing trial of Theodore Malcolm Edgecomb, the 31-year-old man found guilty of first-degree reckless homicide, with a modifier of use of a dangerous weapon. He was charged with felony bail jumping, and misdemeanor bail jumping.
On Sept 22, 2020, Theodore Edgecomb shot and killed Jason Cleereman in Milwaukee. Edgecomb claimed he shot Cleereman in self-defense after an altercation in traffic. Edgecomb rode his bike eastbound in the wrong lane, and the driver, Cleereman's wife, had to swerve out of the way to miss him. Cleereman then yelled “what the heck!” out the window at Edgecomb. Edgecomb then pulled over at a red light next to the victim’s window and asked if he was talking to him and he said yes. Edgecomb then punched Cleereman causing him to bleed and fled. The couple then drove after Edgecomb and Cleereman exited the car at an intersection, then proceeded to approach Edgecomb. Edgecomb shot Cleereman as he was approaching him and fled on his bicycle. The victim died of his injuries and was found lying facedown on a staircase.
