at 42:16 "The Wheels of Justice Turn Slowly, and sometimes the hammer of Justice has to Fall, and it's falling right here right now" That is one AMAZING JUDGE!!
Every other defendant sentenced is cuffed Immediately, he gets the special privilege of walking out without them. Not cool, he needs to be treated like everyone else. The judge acknowledge it was attention getting and it pays off for him still. Jail time is to be used as a deterrent for the public to be put on notice that doing the same will land you in prison. This is a slap on the wrist.
This Judge and his detailed account of the events and evidence was excellent to hear…He has done so much to restore my faith in the Judicial System,,,Lying and crime doesn’t pay long term.
Why wasn't what he did sentenced as a hate crime? If this were any of us the judge wouldn't be applauding our family and how wonderful they all are...this guy got special treatment...should have got a harsher sentence!!!
He applauded the family to say how that made what he did worse. It was the basis for an aggravating factor. And it's not a hate crime because it wasn't against any individual--hate crime law only applies to certain crimes. (not meaning to argue with your opinion just some legal notes)
Actually because he did it to himself, a normal person would admit it, do probation and be done with it. But Jussie is incapable of admitting he's a liar. So here he is..... on his way to jail.
WOW. So incredibly impressed by the whole and so exceptionally well explained sentencing by the judge. I wholeheartedly agree with him and feel bad for the ones who have actually been attacked. This hoax makes a mockery and is disrespectful to real victims and to all who are involved, especially law enforcement.
Funny how the defense did not want the media in the courtroom during the trial to see the truth and the facts, but invited the media for the sentencing.
As the judge explained it was his decision. During the trial he respected the wishes of the defense to ensure a more fair trial; at sentencing he is already convicted and the judge has already considered his sentence. Based on what the judge said he learned during the trial, I sure wish the trial were televised. Jussie’s family should be ashamed of themselves declaring him “innocent” even after just what we all learned today. They should quietly go get Jussie the help he needs to address his toxic narcissism and help him stop lying. 🤦🏻♀️
Only a 150 days and free to travel while on probation and report by phone. Wow I see what money does. I was on probation for disorderly conduct and couldn't leave the state and had to report in every month.
I was thinking about that too. Probation is hard when people are trying to find work, any kind of work, to re-build their lives. His case revealed our 2 tiered justice system. I'm sorry for how it made your life more difficult.
Jussie thought his name /fame would keep him out of jail. He should have gotten more time, but that's my opinion. He tried to cast a bad light on people for their political preferences. I'm glad he has been knocked down a few pegs
Nah, judge nailed it when he said his reputation is ruined, he is now the butt of jokes, skits, memes etc. For someone as narcissist like Jussie, it's a life sentenced. Everywhere he goes folks will be I pointing & snickering.

@@PeppyLuv He's supposed to be immediately handcuffed like any of us would be! And any of us after declining to make a comment when asked would have gotten in more trouble for that absurd outburst at the end as well.
County jail is like daycare and yes he'll have his own cell and be in protective custody. He won't get special food until he orders from commissary with his own money.
Probation terms are a joke too. He can leave state, call in instead of going to probation office. When i got probation for a fight i had to do anger classes, community service, and probation. Wasn’t allowed to leave state, had to go in every appointment, drug tested whenever. Remind you it was just a fight. This guy does what he does and gets off easy in my opinion. Celebrities, and money gets you special treatment.
Jessie smoulet: "I am innocent!" Also Jessie Smollett: "I could have said I was guilty a long time ago!" America: "we know." also America: "you should have"
0:01 If Jussie Smollett at the very last moment had confessed, shown contrition, and apologized for his harmful behavior, the judge may very well have omitted any jail time in the sentence he handed down.
It appears that this whole family with the exception of the grandmother is a disgruntled narcissist family. They still keep blaming others and not taking responsibility for their actions.
If his family really wanted to help him, they would have tried to convince him to be honest and come clean and to apologize. Instead they enabled his pathological lying and helped further damage him.

He is clearly not there and sadly I believe he never will, cause his enablers will keep on standing by his side. He will keep his career after jail, cause Hollywood is full of hypocrites like him.
His Hollywood buddies with pay his fines and legal fees
I don't even know. He seems like damaged goods to me. Perhaps he has some friends that pity him but mostly he is ruined. Being the narcissistic clown he is it's best to just let him out of jail after his sentence and forget he existed, to begin with. He will never learn or better himself. Most people I know do not live in "self-victimhood" but even among those that do, he is the top-level one. These people have a brick wall in front of their heads and nothing gets past that. He made himself believe he is a victim. And needs that. In order to make sense of his own delusions.
Boy, all of them lawyers were really trying to get him off from going to jail right away.. I'm surprised they didn't hand cuff him. This judge really let him have it. I liked how he used the word "Patsies."" That's like a word used in the 60s. I think he deserved a longer sentence since he lied and had the cop's going in circles trying to find the people who committed this "hate crime" He keeps saying he's innocent because he probably wants to keep acting and he'll be lucky he'll have any roles. Maybe the only person who'll hire him is Tyler Perry. I'm sure he'll have his own cell and probably get treated and fed better than the other inmates.
Unfortunately he will work bc the Smollett's work for the DNC.
@@misswinnie4.8 What is DNC?
@@RoMaMa923 DNC: The Democratic National Committee is the governing body of the United States Democratic Party. The committee coordinates strategy to support Democratic Party candidates throughout the country for local, state, and national office, as well as works to establish a "party brand".

@@DanakarEndeel Thank you for the info.
"The wheels of justice turn slowly, but sometimes the hammer of justice has to fall, and it's falling right here right now". WOW - This judge is amazing! The juice is not loose anymore.
Sounds like he wrote this script too. Never learned from the last failed script.
He obviously has a chronic issue with being a liar.
He lies as well as he acts 😊
After that outburst and doubling down, the judge should have IMMEDIATELY added a longer jail sentence….this is a person who clearly has no remorse, no honesty, and never will…
Agreed I would of held him in contempt of court. Super disrespectful
I liked that 2 of his attorney's tried getting the sentence delayed and the judge told them both NO!!
And putting him in jail longer on the cost of the taxpayer would do what then? He won't learn. A year, 5 years or 5 months won't matter. Just be done with it and have him take care of his own crap outside of jail. Preferably far away from me.
No one;
Literally no one:
Jussie: I am not suicidal. (No reaction from anyone)
I AM NOT SUICIDAL!!!!
😆
The funny thing is even if he is killed, people will think he did it to himself. Just such a loser
Victim victim anyone i can use i will..😂😂
No one cares if he is. He is yearning for attention badly. 😆😂
Wonder if he is even absorbing any of what the judge said. Lol..bet he thought he was getting away with probation...then BAM!
In one ear out the other.
He is not suicidal 😆
No, he didn't. He proved that with his outrageousness after his sentencing. Crazy.
Yessssss!!! Judge had me going too! When he started with the probation I thought jail was out. Then BAM! out of nowhere, “150 days in Cook County Jail. And that starts today. That starts right now.” Woooooooooooo Baby!!!! Wasn’t expecting that AT ALL!!!😂
I'm sure he did think that.. LoL
nah, he didn’t hear a thing. Reminded me of when I was a kid and I got in trouble but truly didn’t believe I should have been and my dad lectured me. 🙄 All I did was sit there and think ‘I’m not listening 🙉 I’m not listening 🙉 you’re wrong not me and I’m not listening” 🙉 😆😆😆🤣😂🤣😂 I think it was between me being 8yrs & 10yr old 😆
I'm not so sure that the woman sitting on Jessie's left is doing him any favors by shaking her head "no" while the judge is talking and giving his sentence. Having a little more respect for the justice system, the court, and the jury itself is not unimportant. It's find she disagrees, but not continuing to argue with gestures is, imo, not appropriate.
No it wasn't appropriate. Niether was his lawyer talking while the judge was talking.
His team was disrespectful throughout this entire process.
Judge probably sentenced him one day for every disrespectful head shake
She's shaking her head because Jussie is innocent. I know. Weird.
@@jasongann8535LOL, you're funny!
at 42:16 "The Wheels of Justice Turn Slowly, and sometimes the hammer of Justice has to Fall, and it's falling right here right now" That is one AMAZING JUDGE!!
Rude, arrogant, self-righteous,...enjoy your sentences.
Why wasn't what he did sentenced as a hate crime? If this were any of us the judge wouldn't be applauding our family and how wonderful they all are...this guy got special treatment...should have got a harsher sentence!!!
I agree ..it was a hate crime in itself and he should have been charged with one.
Can’t the feds go after him for the hate crime?
@@tinaruan38 I think they're going after him for the fake letters with fake poison in them that he also did himself. 🤣🤦🏼♀️
That ridiculous display of theatrics should be considered a hate crime against acting - TACK ON FIVE MORE YEARS! lol!
I was on probation for disorderly conduct and couldn't leave the state and had to report in every month.
same here
Not like he gonna get much roles now anyways. His career is over
I was thinking about that too. Probation is hard when people are trying to find work, any kind of work, to re-build their lives. His case revealed our 2 tiered justice system. I'm sorry for how it made your life more difficult.

Yeah I'm wondering why

He wrote it in crayon
He probably got paid for it.
His outburst makes you want the judge to slap him with another 10 years
Jussie thought his name /fame would keep him out of jail. He should have gotten more time, but that's my opinion. He tried to cast a bad light on people for their political preferences. I'm glad he has been knocked down a few pegs
It's mind boggling to me how someone could put mountains of evidence at his feet, and he still claims his innocence.
That takes some doing. 🤯

You had a president do the same thing.
Despite it all, he got off lightly, so in fact he came out a winner. US justice confounds me every time.

Bluerazor …………. Couldn’t say it any better, myself.
He should have gotten a longer jail time.
Yes. And then deported back to France too. 😉
He should've been sentenced for way more time in prison. Sad that celebrities get special treatment
