Actually I use semi balanced rca cables with the braded shield side connected to the RCA connector that goes into the amp (so using this cable but in reverse).
The idea behind this is that you have a star like topology for potential ground loops. Any electrical waves picked up by the braid are going directly to the chassis of the amp (which is usually a better grounded and shielded device) instead of going first to the source again and then travelling back to the amp where a part may go through the cold lead that sits directly next to the hot lead.
I haven't done any actual measurements to prove if it makes a significant difference though. Semi balance is more like unbalanced than balanced (balanced is a totally different system with much less potential interference with long cable lenghts).
I picked up the star grounding/shielding topology in my education and experience in professional sound engineering where it's commonly used (and in electronics too); A star topology has no loops.
Bear in mind that a semi balanced cable has a higher capacitance than a cable where only the hot and cold inner strands are used. This can be important with turntables and MM/MI cartridges. The capacitance of the cable can act as an equalizer in the audible range in relation to the inductance of the cartridge and resistance of the phonopreamp (cartridge loading)

Hi, very informative - what would be the cons of soldering the coldwire and shielding on both rca ends

If I have issue I have to reverse my cable or take it to unbalance ?

That's a good cable and good choice of plugs. Plus the pseudo balanced construction helps a lot against noise interference. Excellent cable, you won't find many better.

Semi balanced? That's like being sorta pregnant.

We do not see what you are soldering, where goes cold signal, where goes hot! So it's kinda useless video...

Exactly this was a video of hands. 🙄

In my case, the tin does not stick to the plug housing. How to solder it?

Try showing what it is you're soldering..
