      Hi Julie! I just want to say I really love your videos and find them really helpful. I’ve had a problem at school recently and wondering if you can help. I have always been known as “the girl that never gets in trouble” but I’ve recently gotten in trouble and people keep talking about it. I feel like no one would like me anymore all because of one small problem. I’d really appreciate if you could help.

      See, I’m not so sure at this point. I don’t see how people can live with only one. I feel like anxiety leads to depression if left unmanaged. I do think one can be depressed without anxiety, though.

      It is complex. Healing is also not a walk in the park. Had anyone ever told me how much hard work it is to get out of depression, I would have never gotten into it. 🖐🏼😄 But then, who knows…there are interesting spiritual perspectives on depression. That it‘s the last stage before true awakening.

      They might and they are doing it on purpose - their tactic is to “attack” you in numbers, as a pack. Don’t pay attention - I know it might be hard to do, trust me they feel your reaction and they gonna keep on doing it. Next time it happens try something new - if you happen to look at them - pretend they are fresh smelly dog poop. Very smelly! And don’t be shy to express that disgust - show them you’re the boss, show them you’re unbothered! Because YOU ARE THE BOSS! you go girl! Never be afraid! 🤗

      my giftedness helps me with my anxiety in some ways but sometimes makes it worse. I learn differently and all the teachers i have had, especially my 2nd grade teacher who LITERALLY GASLIGHTED ME, view me as disrespectful. and being treated that way messes with my anxiety, which makes me lash out. but i dont really have problems most of the time with thinking people are talking about me because intellectually gifted people have very complex thoughts and a strong sense of justice, and that makes my thoughts on that kind of thing clearer and more realistic, making me think "its just my anxiety, they're very obviously talking about other things." and my strong sense of justice kind of makes me subconsciously deny that anyone can do anything wrong.

    • @burkinfaso
      @burkinfaso 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@fancypantscat1138 you’re absolutely right. My strong sense of justice has always been a blessing and a curse. I never new I had anxiety and ADHD (possibly being a high functioning autistic girl- as non of those things has been diagnosed as a child, but I’m an adult now and learned how to deal with most situations) just had to learn how to better understand myself as nobody else seemed to get it. But as I said I don’t regret it now!

    I can relate with “people are judging me”
    Story time: I was in 2nd grade and I accidentally spilled chocolate milk all over my pants and I went to the clinic and she gave me sweats that were WAY too big so I had to tie it with a hair tie and while walking in the hallways back to class I see 4th grader girls looking at me whispering and giggling. I went back to class crying bc I couldn’t stop over thinking it. Eventually the teacher saw me crying and I told her what happened :/

    “they’re probably laughing about me”
    “i can’t wear this or people will think i’m trying to hard / not trying enough”
    “they’re probably just friends with me because they feel bad”
    etc.

    Thank you so much! YOu've helped me identify destructive behaviors in myself, but I have managed to quell one of these lines the "I'm not good at this" line. I instead try to tell myself "trust the process" so I see it through and learn from the experience instead of giving up halfway

    Excellent song choice. I see you have worked very hard on this video. Never worry about what others are saying about you. They are talking to each other not you so it is none of your business what they say to each other. When they are talking to you and are letting you be involved in the conversation that is when you become involved. Never worry about what people gossip ABOUT you pay attention to what they gossip TO you and WHO THEY ARE. Always remember too that when people gossip about others they are probably gossiping about you too. So always be mindful of what you say in response to gossip about other people you dont know who these people are going to tell next since they are brave enough to tell you. You are no one special when it comes to being told gossip about other people. All this includes me as well and if ever you cant wait to dish out gossip about someone look in the mirror and gossip to yourself you may be surprised as to what you have to say about yourself. Thanks for the video. Stay awesome.

    Mam you're are helping a lot of people to be aware and think of themselves.
    When ever l go through your videos l always have this thought that atleast 95percent of teen are inside this web of depression and we all were thought that it all were because we are in our teen ,why it is completely like that our youth have not only depression but also a long losted happiness that we share, our teens are merely edging by elder about our mentalhealth and more hopefully and happily, l am glad to see you talk about such things to public as a doctor even if you haven't mention teenager, even though a lot thanks.
    Thank you 😊
