Sound on! I have taken a new video of the Mercedes-AMG One during some hot laps on the Nürburgring in june 2024. The AMG team continues testing together with Multimatic at the Nürburgring and did a few hot laps with two test cars. Not sure what they were testing. Do you have any idea?
My TH-cam Channel CarSpyMedia focuses on high quality car spy videos that only show the model mentioned in the title. I do not show any scenes twice and therefore want to stand out from other spy video channels.

I think one of the more interesting things to me about this Mercedes car is that it looks almost nothing that Mercedes has ever made, it's own shape and design for so many elements of the car. Im sure some parts may resemble older race cars but it's really one of kind in the Mercedes line up.
Nothing ever made? ClK gtr my friend
@@atom999 I know for sure, I mentioned it in my last sentence, the rear louvres especially is what reminds me of the CLK
@@atom999CLK GTR had the same spirit but was very different
The front end reminds me of some older concepts for the AMG GT.
Seems made by the F1 department
Mercedes lied to us about this car speed, Ger Collector took his onto the Autobahn and the One's straight-line performance is sensational
It’s cool in another way compared with the Valkyrie. It has some ‘drama’ to it (I mean that positive) thanks to its looks and the induction sounds thanks to the roof scoop. I don’t like it as much as a Valkyrie, but I sure start to like it more and more!
(1:23) The amount of scraping from the One at Karusell, its insane
Sounded so brutal
every record attempt no one takes that line. Everyone goes up high and stays on the flat part
The aero cover off the wheel is looking so good🎉
Great video btw! Thanks for these nice clips, I hope there’s more 😁
With all that active aero, they better make sure it doesn’t take off again
ich find den Spec richtig gut ❤
This has to be for durability and lifespan of the engine. The current spec that customers have need to be rebuilt every 30k miles and cost over $900k to do it. The car will just be a museum piece if they don't com up with a better solution.
Bro rich people buy this car. They can spend money on this car. So don’t worry brookie
@@paultyga4153 I don´t think you understand. This technology will eventually age out and be harder and harder to replace. You don´t even know how to spell brokie properly.
@@MrSilverfish12 why da phuck you want to replace the engine?
@@paultyga4153 its an F1 hybrid engine. These things are not durable and are prototypes, hence why they have to rebuild it every 30km. No one wants to replace their engine, its just a consequence of having an F1 engine in the car.
@@MrSilverfish12who cares you’re not the one buying the car plus 30k miles on this car is like 500k on a toyota
They know they can improve stuff I assume?
oh 100%. the lap record it set as well wasn’t in the most optimum conditions, on a more sunny dry day, it’ll do sub 6:30
@@s._81i don‘t think sub 30
@@timonxDlolwell it definitely can hit that
@@s._81more sunny isn’t good. Street tyres overheat quickly and colder weather allows for more power. It could’ve been more dry tho
That's a unique sound from a MB
Ford Explorer Support Vehicle for MB supercar?😮
That was used by the Multimatic people who supported this car and the Mustang GTD
This car must be outdated by now it's been so long
👍
I was a naysayer of this car
Was
1:40 looks really fast ... it seems all the wings have a hard time keeping this bullet on the ground
Maybe they are working on a new car without that complicated f1 stuff🤔
Wow, I've never thought about that. Maybe a Black Series version.
Putting out the hybrid parts could safe 200-300kg.
But I think it's not that easy to remove these parts, cause they are part of the architecture.
Nah. That’s the point of the car, a technological exercise.
Yeah that is definitely not the case it would completely defeat the reason why they made it
Schickes Teil! Imnerhin der aktuelle Rekordhalter!😎
Na, dann dürfen wir bald eine noch performantere Variante erwarten? Mehr Motorleistung? Oder mehr E-Power...?🤔
They are gona improve lap record time
The track got faster with new resurfacing and slight kerb changes , Mercedes already left a few seconds worth of lap time on table with their initial 6min35 run , since it was on a partially wet-drying track
So a fast track and good track conditions will definitely benefit lap time, since a few more Hypercars are going for lap record attempts soon
@@Shadowed007 can you tell which ones?
@@Shadowed007 Yes,i think 6:28 is going to be a new record
@@sebastianjo752 Misha charoudin made a video on it a few months ago
Ottimo spot 👍
Is Mercedes ever going to release this thing? It seems problems have been uncovered and they are trying to remediate the issues.
It is already released. Many owners already received the car.
Example: GerCollector and Valtteri Bottas.
@@tsr-gtrI wouldn't say a former Mercedes formula driver is exactly a regular customer through
@@KeijonAutoVuokra Its an example. There are many other cars around the globe. I have seen one in Japan already, but i can only name those two by name.
How is Multimatic involved into the project?
they make the vehicle assembley
Nice car. What's the retail on one of those?
I understood that reference.
More than you can afford pal
$5 million since MSRP is irrelevant since they've all long been sold out
The only time the $2.7 million MSRP will come back is if Mercedes make more AMG Ones

What is the difference between this version and original been out a few years. Must be something's
Well.. The "Original" was a prototype. The car wasn't able to drive or have this record breaking performance. Now this is the custumer car. Yes it looks like a test mule, but it resembles a lot the car that is already in the hand of many buyers unlike the this so called "Original".
@@tsr-gtrunfortunately that just straight up porting the F1 engine with only minor changes and additions wasnt a very good idea because even for super/hypercar standarts the cars reliability is extremely poor.
@@unkindled6410 I mean, who would've guessed that porting a racing engine to a road car would be unreliable? There is a reason that engines like these keep being rebuilt. They are always on the Edge. Its the cost of performance, sacrifices must've be made.
Thats why only now we are getting proper racing engines into road cars. Things have gotten so extreme on road legal cars that the next step is.. Turning them into racing cars.
@@tsr-gtr we have been making road cars with specs SIMILAR to race cars since the dawn of luxury brands, but the thing is, actual race cars go above with how extreme they go, at the cost of the engine durability, and F1 takes that to its apex. F1 cars cant even be started on their own, they dont have a starting motor, they use an external one to start it up, and it takes nearly an hour for them to actually run because they need to warm up to a specific temperature because their tolerance is so low.
Its worth noting over the years almost every tech for every type of car from civil usage to high performance sports cars have slowly integrated tech debuted on F1, which we found ways to incorporate on their engines. However just slapping the F1 engine with RPM detune and basics like a proper starting motor that a mentioned etc, doesnt work at all because its still a very fragile engine thats also more accomodated to push a much lighter body, even with the assist from the hybrid motor setup the engine ran the risk of dying with less than 10k KM ran, and thats ridiculously low.
@@tsr-gtr btw wanna know who made the F1 engined car first and done it right? Ferrari with the F50. They built its engine on top of their F1 V12 at the time with increased displacement and detuned RPM as the most radical changes, and the car sounds and runs amazingly for a 90s supercar, unfortunate that it was so underrated because it had to compare itself to the F40 that people worship so much even though honestly the F50 is better IMO.
why are the gear shifts so slow
the car has robotized manual gearbox, I think a dual clutch transmiussion would have been too heavy
Can you elaborate?
@@Awaks im not a gearbox expert but I mean if they choose an automated manual transmission insdead of a dct they must had good reasons. Dct are known shift very fast but also to be heavier than manual gearboxes so maybe amg wanted to maxx weight saving and decided to sacrifice some gear changing time to remove as much weight as possible. Maybe this was a better option for overall performances..
@@mauricecarton ohh, okay.
Yeah. They mentioned weight and a dct having trouble keeping up with the very high revving engine
Was a bit more interested in what made it apparent that it was "slow"
The grey one is beautiful, the matte red is hideous.
Testing a car 7 years after introduction and 2 years after production "started" and they're still testing with it. With how much they tested it the engine probably passed the 50,000 km threshold (how many kilometers one F1 derived engine can do)
Its because porting the F1 engine straight up was a bad idea. The durability and reliability of the car is extremely bad even for a super/hyper car. They releases the car without fully achieving all desirable results with their tests and customers have since ran in a lot of problems with their cars, and god knows if they will really find a good solution because again, the engine is that much volatile.
@unkindled6410 you're talking a lot of bullshit. The engine goes up 50.000km, for an F1 engine this is insane reliability. The car has the performance, look at all the records breaking lap times. Even in the straights it's damn fast, even tho it wasn't designed for that
@@mrpersonne6907 last i heard the ECU is very problematic and the engine still has high risk of breaking with only 5k miles. Hell, the fact 5k miles is enough to make the car require a full engine revision in the first place is wild.
Demo car ! Test drive ! But C63 AMG is better!
Not near as smooth as any of the Porsches

@@RST-R-MODSmore like the mustang is an actual car because Merc/AMG couldnt figure out that actual F1 engines on actual cars just dont work, their durability and reliability is terrible even for this type of car, probably why they are till this day running tests because a lot of customers are running with many problems with the car and now theyre trying to find solutions.
