He said at our age the majority of our diet should be protein (at least 60 grams of protein daily) to help keep our internal organs functioning and healthy and to help ward off any infection we might get. I had a spell of panic attacks a few years ago after things happened in life!! I did not know what was happening at the time my heart was racing felt dizzy and my insides felt like they were on full spin cycle..absolutely horrible so I do sympathise . Great progress on the house..there's a light at the end of the tunnel 😊

The siding looks great. Sheetrock guys are moving along at a good clip. Oh yes, countertop is going to be lovely in your kitchen, great choice. You could be in by the end of January! Your body may be coming down with something. The stress on your adrenal glands from a major panic attack can do a job on you. It's awful, been there more times than I wish to recall. Hopefully you will be able to be back to normal with some quiet rest? I can understand your feelings about a chance meeting with no notice under the circimstances. I've been crocheting ponchos, finished 2, working on the 3rd one. I love wearing them when it's chilly because I don't like it too warm and I seem to need a between degree that I don't have on my furnace, so the poncho works well for me! I want one in every color! I put my countertops in 10 years ago. They are like brand new still. When I did my kitchen over cherry red formica❤ with black cabinets.❤❤ I could’ve put anything in there, but I wanted formica. Maybe it’s a Massachusetts thing.😅 I am so sorry that you had to go through that in Lowe’s. Trauma is horrific . I used to get panic attack years ago and I remember someone telling me at an AA meeting the first few months of my sobriety back in 1988; FEAR= as False Emotions Appearing Real. But what a horrible experience with the panic attacks, not knowing how far the next closest Lowes is, maybe worth the extra time to not go through that again. My daughter disappeared almost 6 yrs ago moving 1200 miles away. We had never been apart, so very close, have only spoken to her a few times in this 6 yrs. Only 2 times via FaceTime. She was crying so so hard both times, yep she needed her mom. I have become so isolated as I cannot handle rejection again from anyone. She still has me blocked, but thru prayers, she will reply to my text a few days after I’ve sent one. It’s the worst nightmare a mother could go thru. Mourning a child yet they are still alive. You’re under so much stress and this sure didn’t help. My heart goes out to you as a mother with an estranged child also. I’m so glad your sister was wi❤th you. Have a Happy New Year. Oh, your skin looks so smooth and flawless. Are you doing something different? Not that it didn’t look pretty before, but it does look different in a good way 😊.

Formica is still made and is a really great product. A salesperson at Lowe’s told me they wouldn’t be Carrying it anymore. I will not have a full backsplash. Probably just take the Formica up a couple of inches.
You might want to check about the labels on the windows. I read where someone said when they took off the labels it gave them the feeling of less construction. Of course, always check with the boss, and please take care of yourself. Would yogurt help your digestion? I have celiac disease and fight with indigestion all the time, even tho' I am so careful. Sure wish I could get accepted to your FB page. I must have done something wrong. Sorry. Take excellent care.

I don't like Lowes either but for diff reason. In Cali, they bought a long time, well established family business . Aww, what a God awful experience in Lowe’s! My heart hurts for you. Does your son have a family? I’ve had 3 bad panic attacks in my lifetime for no particular reason! First one happened while my husband was driving and I kept yelling ‘you’re driving too fast’ and he really wasn’t but it felt like. I was jumping out my skin with fear. Second one happened at mom’s when we were visiting! I was sitting with my back against the wall on her dining table and I felt like was having a heart attack because I felt trapped! No reason why it happened. Last one happened at my workplace and I felt my knees shaking and my chest tightened like i was going to pass out! I told my coworker ‘I think you have to call for an ambulance cause I think I’m having a heart attack’! My other coworker came running with a wet cloth, sat me down and put it across my forehead until it passed! Very scary…. Never had one since, go figure! Anyway, I have to say you looked great in your pretty cozy coat!! Made me think I could use a new coat! 😅 So happy your house is really coming along! Have a wonderful New Year’s Eve! Isn’t it strange that a store has chosen not to continue with Formica. In Australia they have banned any more marble for bench tops because of the workers have a health problems with the dust in their lungs. IKEA is about a 2 1/2 hour drive from me and this is good as I would go broke if it was any closer. Well your new home is getting closer so 2025 come on down.
There is no clear reason, he made a choice and his family are honouring his wishes. They get in touch on important occasions. I have been following Margaret being Margaret for a long time and I think just “drawing a line in the sand” is the best way to go.
Don't ever go to the Lowes again. You can't afford to go through the mental and physical strain .Some things can't be fixed . Both people have to forgive and most importantly ,forget. I have a similar situation and no hope of reconciliation. Rejoice in your son and Nicky and Squish, They love you and treasure you. The house is shaping up beautifully, Margaret. It's so hard to pick out some of the finishes for your home and at least the counters were easy. Funny but if the finishes were already there you would probably be fine with it. So many details!! does the contracter have a target date for move in?
Awe, I can completely relate to your panic attack. It's amazing how utterly drained it can make you. About the nausea…once when I was probably the most worked up, my ex heated up a cup of blueberries with honey. He saw it as an option for the nausea. It was the only thing I could stomach for a few days. It's so funny that you mentioned the new years traditions…I was just thinking about you doing all those things, earlier today bc someone mentioned it being a good time to do release rituals, lol. I instantly saw you in my mind sweeping out the old, walking on your right foot first and coming back in, etc. It made me smile and I was wondering if you'd do it all again. You said ju sd t the pocket money one. I was also thinking about how they really did work for you then you said so too, lol. It really is amazing how your life has changed in the past year. Gosh…seems more like 5 or 10 yrs worth of changes, lol. I am so happy for you how things have played out. I remember when you were sharing about not having any retirement from the divorce, etc. Which is quite terrifying. But now you are getting a new home with loved family and all of us out here in TH-cam land who absolutely adore you. I think the countertop you chose is perfect and looks luxurious, I also think the greys you picked for the bathroom will make a perfect backdrop as a neutral you can decorate any way you feel like with all kinds of complimentary towels and other things. The sky is the limit with the colors that go well as accents with a grey backdrop.

I vaguely remember something about running around the house on New Year’s. I’m gonna have to check. And I know there’s something about sweeping out the bad luck, but you have to do that before. I don’t really remember. I’ll definitely put money in my pocket. Sorry you had a panic attack over the thought of seeing Dennis. If you need to go to Lowes again just call first and see if he’s working that day or go to another Lowe’s. I bet you’re getting so so excited after picking out your counter tops. Soo fun. But Margaret, I am so sorry you went thru such a horrible panic attack going in to Lowe’s. My daughter disappeared almost 6 yrs ago moving 1200 miles away. We had never been apart, so very close, have only spoken to her a few times in this 6 yrs. Only 2 times via FaceTime. She was crying so so hard both times, yep she needed her mom. I have become so isolated as I cannot handle rejection again from anyone. She still has me blocked, but thru prayers, she will reply to my text a few days after I’ve sent one. It’s the worst nightmare a mother could go thru. Mourning a child yet they are still alive. You’re under so much stress and this sure didn’t help. My heart goes out to you as a mother with an estranged child also. I’m so glad your sister was wi❤th you. Have a Happy New Year. Oh, your skin looks so smooth and flawless. Are you doing something different? Not that it didn’t look pretty before, but it does look different in a good way 😊.

The rose colored shirt looks amazing on you & your lipstick matches! It's definitely your color but I always thought you looked fantastic in red. The house is really coming along quickly. I didn't hear you mention a backsplash, or maybe you did and I missed it. I was curious what you'd choose for that because I'll be shopping for a backsplash soon. I like your counters a lot .... did you say they're not making formica any more? That would be a bummer.

Formica is still made and is a really great product. A salesperson at Lowe’s told me they wouldn’t be Carrying it anymore. I will not have a full backsplash. Probably just take the Formica up a couple of inches.

You might want to check about the labels on the windows. I read where someone said when they took off the labels it gave them the feeling of less construction. Of course, always check with the boss, and please take care of yourself. Would yogurt help your digestion? I have celiac disease and fight with indigestion all the time, even tho' I am so careful. Aww, what a God awful experience in Lowe’s! My heart hurts for you. Does your son have a family?
I’ve had 3 bad panic attacks in my lifetime for no particular reason! First one happened while my husband was driving and I kept yelling ‘you’re driving too fast’ and he really wasn’t but it felt like. I was jumping out my skin with fear. Second one happened at mom’s when we were visiting! I was sitting with my back against the wall on her dining table and I felt like was having a heart attack because I felt trapped! No reason why it happened. Last one happened at my workplace and I felt my knees shaking and my chest tightened like i was going to pass out! I told my coworker ‘I think you have to call for an ambulance cause I think I’m having a heart attack’! My other coworker came running with a wet cloth, sat me down and put it across my forehead until it passed! Very scary…. Never had one since, go figure!
Anyway, I have to say you looked great in your pretty cozy coat!! Made me think I could use a new coat! 😅 So happy your house is really coming along! Have a wonderful New Year’s Eve! About your New Year’s tips, when do you put the money in your bra or pocket? Till next time…….🎉

Isn’t it strange that a store has chosen not to continue with Formica. In Australia they have banned any more marble for bench tops because of the workers have a health problems with the dust in their lungs. IKEA is about a 2 1/2 hour drive from me and this is good as I would go broke if it was any closer. Well your new home is getting closer so 2025 come on down.

There is no clear reason, he made a choice and his family are honouring his wishes. They get in touch on important occasions. I have been following Margaret being Margaret for a long time and I think just “drawing a line in the sand” is the best way to go.
Don't ever go to the Lowes again. You can't afford to go through the mental and physical strain .Some things can't be fixed . Both people have to forgive and most importantly ,forget. I have a similar situation and no hope of reconciliation. Rejoice in your son and Nicky and Squish, They love you and treasure you. The house is shaping up beautifully, Margaret. It's so hard to pick out some of the finishes for your home and at least the counters were easy. Funny but if the finishes were already there you would probably be fine with it. So many details!! does the contracter have a target date for move in?

Awe, I can completely relate to your panic attack. It's amazing how utterly drained it can make you. About the nausea…once when I was probably the most worked up, my ex heated up a cup of blueberries with honey. He saw it as an option for the nausea. It was the only thing I could stomach for a few days.
It's so funny that you mentioned the new years traditions…I was just thinking about you doing all those things, earlier today bc someone mentioned it being a good time to do release rituals, lol. I instantly saw you in my mind sweeping out the old, walking on your right foot first and coming back in, etc. It made me smile and I was wondering if you'd do it all again. You said ju sd t the pocket money one. I was also thinking about how they really did work for you then you said so too, lol. It really is amazing how your life has changed in the past year. Gosh…seems more like 5 or 10 yrs worth of changes, lol. I am so happy for you how things have played out. I remember when you were sharing about not having any retirement from the divorce, etc. Which is quite terrifying. But now you are getting a new home with loved family and all of us out here in TH-cam land who absolutely adore you.
