so happy for you. gosh I remember when my husband was building our house. he had a wall built that was 30ft. long and said help me stand it up, mind you it was on the second floor. I said you have to be kidding me, he said no. so the two of us stood it up and I'm holding on then he gives me the warning, if the wind catches this wall don't try to hold it because it will pull you off with it, luckily, we did it. now that we are older, I'm wishing we had a smaller place. you will be all set up in no time ❤

I am loving to see your house and your Sons garage and addition going up. It is getting closer. Does a different crew come in to do the inside? Good for you to get in your car and get out of the way. Living through Renovations is never easy. We did many Reno’s and rebuilds through our years. It’s bad enough between husband and wife and I can’t imagine if one of our mothers had lived through it with us. The last one was easy we renovated before moving into the home. It sounds to me like Michael is just like his mother ~ a work alcoholic! Better he be that way rather than the opposite :-). I'll be praying for you all, & thanking God the weather is cooler so everyone's not sweating constantly! Peace

This too shall pass. Like another subscriber said, find a coffee shop to hang out in for a while. Most have wifi & bathrooms if coffee hits you that way! Most don’t care if you hang out. Watch some videos of the devastation in other states from recent hurricanes and it will help put things into perspective. Michael will be away for the week & that will give everyone a reset.

Have fun setting in your car but I know how you feel. I would like to do that but I have to be around. Everything is a process. I’m having a home generator being put it and have to wait on the next part of the job just want it done fast. So I don’t know how you are doing it. But just think of the finish home.

I would say that Michael under pressure, still needs to treat you with respect, and always acknowledge just how much you do. Your a gem, and without all your help, they would find things so difficult. Sometimes it's just good to sit back and do things that you enjoy.

Builders are so amazing!!! These guys are doing a great and speedy job! Lots of respect for men (and women) who do this kind of work!! Will you be in by Christmas, do you think? I love following the progress.

I honestly believe your sisters really don’t mind having you come to visit them when you need to escape. Maybe be proactive and equip your car with the necessity such as a coat, snacks, books and etc. Just keep repeating,” this to shall pass.” Hugs!

Buy plywood and put up over the holes with screws. That way it is somewhat secure and weather proof? Hang in there!

Im watching a couple months behind, but have you tried Hannaford pick up? It. Is. The. Best! You do the shopping on the app pick a time and show up to pick it up, easy peasy NO WAITING 😊. I do that probably 3 times a month and the 4th I go in the store to go up and down the aisles. Give it a try!

We just finished building our brand new house a year ago. A few months after we moved in, we noticed that the paint began to peel on all the white door jams and doors. Clearly, the painter failed to prime or there was some sort of chemical reaction with the paint lacquer. Anyway, we have to move out for a month for the builder to replace all 13 doors, door jams and trim. I know it's a first world problem...but stressful and inconvenient, just the same. I'm sorry for you being in the crossfire of the tension. We've had the experience of living with (separate quarters) our kids. It was great to be with the 2 grands but there was at times, that undercurrent of tension, which isn't fun. Thus, we ended up peacefully, living apart, after we had downsized to move in the downstairs with them. ((Sigh)) You're right, this too, shall pass. I will be praying for you to have peace under pressure...and the kids as well. Hang in there!

Home building/renovations are stressful and rough. No matter how good the relationship is, stress gets to the best natured people during this time.
