    can rad techs avoid being in an interventional radiology and catheter lab? Or is it really a part of the job of ALL rad techs?

      Hi Mady! I’m sorry for the late response. I thought I sent my reply already but now I noticed it wasn’t. Thank you so much for your kind message. It really makes me happy that my videos were of help. 🤎 Unfortunately, I already stopped this series as I’m very busy rn and it’s impossible to do a video like this kasi it will take time. But you can check the playlist! I interviewed another rad tech student for this. Hope it helps 😊

    In the med school, you can pick your choice like i want to pick radiology because i want to be a radiologist? And BS RT is a good pre-med for Radiology?

    • @nori.noodle
      @nori.noodle  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi! I’m not sure if I understood your question correctly and I’ve been thinking a lot about my response. But here in ph, once you finish med school, and you get to pass the boards, you can choose whatever residency you’d like. That includes radiology of course. That’s 4 years of training. Also, if you’re thinking about taking Radiologic technology as premed, my guests who took up rad tech as pre-med are still in med school and are still surviving so I guess that gives a hint about the course. :)

    Hi ate, may i ask po kung isa ang radiologic technology sa pinaka stable na jobs?

    • @nori.noodle
      @nori.noodle  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, Lanz! I don’t think I can answer this question kasi I’m not a rad tech. 😅 I don’t know their work situations and I never got to experience it firsthand so I can’t tell. But I do know majority ng rad techs na grumaduate ay nag t-trabaho sa hospitals for years and then meron din iba na nag abroad after getting the minimum years of experience needed. If you have more questions about this course, just tell me and I’ll introduce you to one of our speakers so they can help you. :)

    Hello! I just want to know if Rad Techs have to deal with blood or injections? I have severe blood and injection phobia but I want to work in the medical field so bad🥺
    Sana mapansin yung question ko🙏🏻

    • @nori.noodle
      @nori.noodle  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jellian! Rad techs don’t draw blood like med techs but I do think they deal with injections. Some imaging would require contrast media like CT and MRI. May mga instances kasi na kailangan i administer ang contrast intravenously so rad techs are trained to use the syringe. Also, you might encounter situations sa work field mo na you have to do urgent imaging with a trauma patient (but it depends on where you’ll work soon kasi may iba-iba ding options ang rad tech after graduating), so baka you’ll get to see blood din.

      Yes we do especially sa Interventional Radiology and Catheter Lab, CT and MRI even some Ultrasound kaya meron kaming subject in Venipuncture na cluster 5 yan sa board exam part of Radiologic Science

    Why are you calling him “doc/doctor” when he’s just a first year medical student and not an actual doctor yet?

    • @nori.noodle
      @nori.noodle  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, MC! I don’t know if this applies to everyone but some medical students (especially bisaya) call each other “dokie”, thus the “dok”. I’m not sure if I’m explaining it right but I often use it to address a fellow medical student (who I’m not very close with yet or maybe someone who’s older than me) in a friendly and respectful way. Sorry for the confusion. :)
