@@rumourhats I mostly agree with what you say. But let me point out that Parliament is literally what *first-past-the-post* leaves you with. Johnson didn't get an absolute majority of the popular vote. And, even among those who supported him, many did so just to avoid a Labour government; and not because Johnson was their preferred candidate.

My daughter took her son to A and E in Preston, recently. He was poorly with an unspecified virus. He was admitted but the wait for a bed was 60 hours. He spent 48 of those hours sitting miserably in a chair with a blanket around him. His mother wanted to care for him at home in more comfortable surroundings but she was advised that his condition was serious and could deteriorate further. Ultimately, his viral load reduced due to the meds he was given and he was allowed home to recuperate.
I've just heard the upbeat description of our NHS delivered by the Prime Minister.

Not just the waiting times that are the problem. When you eventually get a scan, or get to speak to a doctor, they tell you there's nothing wrong. My dad was off workl for 6 months because he literally couldnt move without being out of breath. He was severely unwell. We took him to A and E 3 times...They kept sending him home. Turns out he had heart failure, DVT and Leukemia, unfortunately he subsequently passesd away, after picking up covid while in hospital. Couldnt see hyim because of pandemic and could only have 15 people at his funeral, while Boris was partying.
NHS is an absolut joke atm. I respect everyone that works there, but the system is flawed and a lot of people are very unwell atm and not getting the correct treatment.

Since the beginning of COVID 19 our GP appointment wasn't bad, but when the first lockdown started it became so bad and annoyingly hard to see any of my doctors, even when i was pregnant hardly was seen.
After days and months of trying to book a face to face appointment after the left of lockdown i gave up, now my only option is to visit the hospital or my local walk in centre.
i am considering to change my Gp NOW.
Boris doesn't care , has his own private doctor etc.

I have voted for Labour since the days of John Smith. I even voted for Jeremy Corbyn but I will NEVER vote for Keir Starmer! He is as underhanded as Boris Johnson! He changed his cabinet while his Deputy Leader was out giving a talk without telling her. She came back n went to talk to a colleague only to find they were no longer there! N then you have "Beergate"??
"It was a working lunch" said Keir.
"N how many were in one room with you?"
"30; but it was a working lunch!"
You couldn't have 3 people gathered together outside! But he has 30 in one room n says he did no wrong?
    Yeah; right!!
He needs to turn up more for a start!
How do the Labour Party win the next election? Get rid of Starmer n make Angela Rayner the Labour Party Leader n they'll walk it by a Landslide, but NOT with him!
The Country is led by a Clown with an IDIOT wanting to take over n have a go at running the place into the ground!

Did anybody see the second ceremony in the evening. It was in an enclosed square, there was a band and it featured a blue sphere in a crown. As soon as she placed her hand on it , a stream of white lights in the form of a double helix, with a line running through it, flowed across the lawn to a tree of life. I think it was of more significance than the main event, I hope somebody made a copy of it. !!!
